At an exciting time in JGDR's fundraising, we are looking for volunteering & community fundraising officers to support our communities in North Lincolnshire and East Yorkshire. It is a great opportunity to join a passionate team.

Hours: 35 hours per week (with occasional weekend and evening working as and when the role requires)

Location: This is a hybrid role, with regular travel required across the North Lincolnshire and East Yorkshire regions, including visits to our charity shops and centres. Weekend and evening work will be expected, as and when the role requires. Post holders will be expected to be working flexibly across their community 4 days out of 5 – with at least one day per week from our North Lincolnshire Centre – and attend regular team meetings in an agreed location.

Due to the scope and nature of the role, you will need to live within, or in close proximity to, North Lincolnshire. You will be required to have a valid driving license and access to a car to enable you to travel freely across the area without reliance on public transport.

Fundraising at Jerry Green Dog Rescue (JGDR)

Job summary

We are looking for a proactive, confident and supporter-focused fundraiser to build and manage relations with JGDR’s local community across North Lincolnshire and East Yorkshire.  Working with the Volunteering and Community Fundraising Manager, you will deliver a strategy to grow income and volunteer numbers from the local community. This is a varied role which will cover:

· Stewarding and recruiting supporters undertaking their own fundraising activities, including those taking part in challenge events

· Organising & attending local events to raise awareness and income

· Proactively approaching and working with local &national businesses

· Recruiting and overseeing a network of volunteers who can support income generation in your local area. This role would suit a target-driven, approachable and resourceful fundraiser with ambition and drive – there is plenty of opportunity to make this role your own and drive forward growth in these crucial income streams.

Your role

You will sit in the Volunteering and Community Fundraising team, and report to the Volunteering and Community Fundraising Manager. You will manage your own time to effectively balance both developing and stewarding relationships with individual and corporate supporters in the local area and working through a network of volunteers to deliver fundraising and retail objectives.

You will develop and grow strong relationships with supporters, collaborating with colleagues across the wider organisation to ensure you are offering the best supporter experience you can. You will attend local events with, and through, volunteers, work with colleagues in our retail and operation sites, and spot other opportunities to promote JGDR in your community and drive support for our work.

You will deliver excellent stewardship to supporters and volunteers and develop relationships with key local contacts who can help to further JGDR’s mission. You will champion supporter care and ensure that all relevant supporter information is stored on JGDR’s CRM, Donorflex.

Key responsibilities

Community fundraising

· Identify, engage, and steward DIY and community fundraisers, developing strategies to promote fundraising activities in these groups and grow income from your local area

· Proactively pursue local business partnership opportunities, developing a pipeline of potential corporate support and making applications to secure support

· Provide high quality stewardship of supporters, groups and businesses within the community, responding to enquiries in a timely way and ensuring relationships are developed and maintained at a high standard

· Represent JGDR as the first point of contact within the community, promoting our mission, vision, and values alongside fundraising and volunteer opportunities

· Ensure that Donorflex is up-to-date and develop regular reporting mechanisms to inform the Volunteering and Community Fundraising Manager of outputs and results, and support understanding of the local audiences, including individual supporters, local businesses, and volunteers, and their historical engagement with the charity

Volunteering

· Work with the Volunteering and Community Fundraising Manager and Volunteering Administration Assistant to recruit, induct and train volunteers to support fundraising and other relevant initiatives in the local community

· Via volunteer support, oversee the distribution of collection boxes in your local area, monitoring and reporting on income generated

· Coordinate and attend – supported by a network of volunteers – key local events, e.g. county shows, to raise awareness of JGDR in the local community and drive support for the charity amongst target audience groups.

· Ensure JGDR retail shops, and their volunteers, in your area have relevant and timely information on current fundraising campaigns and other initiatives to share with customers

· Ensure that the Volunteering database, Volunteero, is up to date

Other duties

· Contribute content for social media, fundraising newsletters, publications and local media to support marketing objectives and increase our engagement with adopters, supporters and donors online

· Keep up to date with sector trends and developments in community and regional fundraising, and volunteering

· Ensure all fundraising activities and events operate within best practice and regulatory guidelines and comply with health and safety requirements.

· Act as a champion for fundraising compliance across the organisation, including ensuring adherence to the Fundraising Regulator’s Code of Fundraising Practice, the General Data Protection Act and PECR, and other relevant legislative requirements.

· Manage any complaints from supporters efficiently and sensitively

· Act as a collaborative role model to the wider team, and build strong working relationships with colleagues across the wider charity to be an internal ambassador for Fundraising and Marketing

You are:

· A target-driven and tenacious professional with experience in community and regional fundraising

· Knowledgeable about your local community, with a positive approach to your work and supporting your colleagues to achieve shared objectives

· Skilled at building relationships with people, and motivated by spending time getting to know supporters and volunteers in the local area

· Entrepreneurial, with a drive to seek out new opportunities to drive income generation and pursue them with a continual eye on hitting KPIs and targets

· Organised, with a keen eye for detail and a confidence in managing competing priorities effectively

· Financially proficient, and comfortable planning, monitoring and being accountable for fundraising budgets to agreed deadlines

· Familiar with sector trends and best practice methods of acquiring, retaining and stewarding supporters

· A credible and clear communicator

· Experienced in using CRM databases to input, monitor, and report on supporter data and to gather insights

· Diligent, organised and respectful of others’ contributions, and keen to work in an environment that encourages constructive feedback and collaboration

· Committed to dog welfare, and representing the values of JGDR both internally and externally

· Prepared and able to travel extensively in your region, including to other JGDR Centres and retail sites. A valid UK driving license and access to a vehicle will be necessary.

· Prepared and able to attend relevant supporter events in the evening and at weekends within the community; a time off in lieu policy for this is in place.

About the role 

Scripture Union England & Wales (SU) one of the UK’s longest-established children and youth ministry organisations is  working in partnership with Activate, an exciting local sport and wellbeing project, to offer this unique role to reach many more young people in the Bushy Park area and across the South of England through physical activity. 

We’re looking for a creative and entrepreneurial individual with a passion for using sport to help children and young people across the South of England to explore and respond to the good news of Jesus. 

This unique role combines the benefits of direct face-to-face engagement with young people in a local context, delivering mission through sport activities and programmes, while also developing and mentoring others to expand ministry across the South region. The ideal candidate will have equal passion and experience in both contexts. 

Key details: Employed by Scripture Union you will spend three days per week developing sports mission across London and the South. For two days per week, you will work on the Activate sports and wellbeing project working across the Bushy Park area.

About Activate 

Activate is a sport and physical activity-based programme, formed in 2018, seeking to build community through wellbeing that invigorates faith.  Activate seeks to release God’s people to join in his mission through sport and physical activity in the areas surrounding Bushy Park. This includes gathering, encouraging and empowering local Christians involved in sports ministry, including expressions of chaplaincy and missional communities centred around sports clubs, centres, educational settings and gyms.  A number of local churches across denominations and Dioceses have been supporters of the project. 

In the past Activate has supported sports projects in local schools, an activity-based church service, wellbeing cafe sessions, exercise sessions for the elderly and youth activities.  The successful candidate will be involved in re-launching Activate’s mission after a break due to staff changes. 

About your team

With this role, you will have the benefit of being part of a national-focused sports team at SU, as well as the south team with a regional focus and the local context with Activate. You’ll work out of the office of St Peter’s Church, West Molesey, benefiting from the support of a local parish-based team including clergy and youth workers. You’ll contribute your expertise in a variety of settings, ranging from urban and suburban to coastal and rural areas across the south. You’ll have a brilliant time getting acquainted with this rich tapestry of local and national partners. Across the south region, we currently work with 130 churches and have 150 faith guides. Allsorts' mission is to listen to, connect, and support children and young people under the age of 26 who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans (LGBT+), or exploring their sexual orientation and/or gender identity. 

By placing young people’s voices at the centre of our work and consultations, we ensure that our understanding of their ongoing and evolving needs continues to inform our service provision.

This is an opportunity to join Refuge as a Health IGVA supporting women and children who are impacted by different strands of Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG). You will work closely with victims of VAWG from the point of crisis, to provide high quality independent advocacy and support to survivors of VAWG at the highest risk and their children.

The Health IGVA will train and provide ongoing support to GP practices and other health professionals and providers to enable primary and secondary care staff to be able to effectively talk to their patients about gender based abuse and different strands of Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG): including Domestic abuse and violence (physical, sexual, emotional,  psychological, economic or tech abuse)​​, Sexual Violence (Rape and sexual assault​)​, Stalking and harassment ​, Sexual exploitation ​​(including women working in sex industry and Child Sexual Exploitation)​​, Female genital mutilation (FGM)​/cutting , Forced marriage​​, So-called ‘honour’-based abuse, provide early identification and offer appropriate care pathways for survivors of all genders, aged 16 years and over and their children, living, working or/and studying in Lambeth.

The post holder will work in partnership with the local Integrated Care Board (ICB) and the Gaia Service Manager to proactively develop and maintain links with health providers in the local area and build links with health professionals and support agencies. 

The job involves working within a multi-agency framework consisting of the Multiagency Risk Assessment Conference (MARAC) and local partnership protocols and procedures that prioritise the safety of survivors. The post holder will empower survivors by providing them with emotional, practical and personal welfare support.

The job involves informing survivors of the full range of civil, criminal, and practical options that might increase their safety. 

This post is restricted to women due to the nature of the role. The Occupational Requirement under Schedule 9 (part 1) of the Equality Act 2010 applies.

What you’ll do

As Finance Executive, you’ll play a key role in keeping our day-to-day finance operations running smoothly; from processing transactions and performing reconciliations, to ensuring our partners are billed correctly and pay on time. You'll be a key point of contact for finance queries across the business, and your work will be essential to maintaining accurate records and enabling wider decision-making. You'll also play an important role in driving process improvements, and support the team by analysing data and producing insightful reports that inform decision making.

This is a varied role where you’ll get exposure to lots of different areas within the finance function of a SaaS company. It’s perfect if you’re keen to explore your interests and gain a solid grounding across multiple aspects of finance.

• Record, process and reconcile transactions for the company using platforms like Spendesk and Xero, and ensure transactions are accurately recorded and categorised. 
• Manage our finance email inbox, responding to queries from schools, universities and employers. 
• Manage our accounts receivable processes, keeping track of overdue invoices, chasing partners for payment and recording received payments. 
• Support our sales teams with general finance related queries and keeping their partner records up to date on Salesforce (our CRM system).
• Improve, streamline and automate processes within the finance function. 
• Get involved with projects such as:
  • Setting up a simple way to keep track of the subscriptions we pay for, and make sure we’re getting good value from them.
  • Finding solutions to increase the number of invoices paid on time.
  • Creating useful reports and dashboards on Salesforce to aid decision making. 
• Support the Finance Lead to:
  • Prepare the payroll for our accountants (including commission calculations) and manage associated schemes (e.g. pension contributions).
  • Manage our accounts payable processes, making and recording payments. 
  • Work on forecasting and variance analysis to support business planning.
  • Check through our quarterly VAT return.
  • Manage the banking for our much smaller Hong Kong and US companies.
• Support the Head of Finance (your line manager) to:
  • Create the annual budget.
  • Support on ad-hoc projects and data analysis requests.

Who we’re looking for

You’ve got some experience in a finance or operations role, or you can demonstrate that you’ve built the relevant skills in another setting and are ready to learn more.

• You’re organised and methodical, with strong attention to detail that helps keep things running smoothly and accurately.
• You enjoy solving problems and thinking critically about how things can be improved, streamlined or automated.
• You’re quick to learn new systems and tools, you might not have used platforms like Xero or Salesforce before, but you’re keen to get stuck in.
• You take ownership of your work, following through on tasks and making sure nothing falls through the cracks.
• You’re proactive and hands-on, excited to go beyond your core responsibilities to improve how we work and help make it a success.
• Being a proficient user of Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot table, x-lookup) is a bonus.
• Having an educational background in Finance, Accounting or a Business related discipline is desirable, but not essential. 

Working together

We’re a small but mighty team of 3 within Finance (this role included). You’ll be line managed by the Head of Finance and will be working very closely with our Finance Lead too. You’ll also have regular contact with most people across the Unifrog, especially our partner-facing teams and the People team. You’ll also be liaising with our external accountants who take lead with the financial accounting and payroll side of things.

Head of Fundraising and Development

Connect: North Korea is a fast-growing charity supporting North Korean escapees to build new lives after experiences of systemic discrimination, poverty, and trauma. 

Our organisational income has grown consistently year on year since we registered  in 2018. We now have a series of multi-year grants in place ensuring that 42% of our income for 2026 is already secured. But we are ambitious. We want to do more for our community, so we are looking for a new, dynamic Head of Fundraising and Development to lead and deliver income generation as we scale our work in the UK and globally.

This is a rare opportunity to lead a fundraising strategy and plan across all major income streams—trusts and foundations, individual giving, corporate partnerships, and major donors. This role is an exciting mixture of leadership complemented by  day-to-day delivery. The IT and Web Support role works closely with and reports to the IT Manager to support day-to-day IT support and web site operations organisation-wide across Retail, Education (short courses and degree), Marketing, Fundraising, Operations and Finance. • Administrator experience of Microsoft 365 (Exchange, Sharepoint, Teams, Onedrive, Entra ID) and Windows Server/Active Directory — i.e. administration for user accounts, licensing applications, group setup, policies, MFA, etc. 

• Understanding of basic networking (firewalls, switches, routers, wifi) and remote support tools. 

• Familiarity with basic data manipulation and reporting in Excel – e.g. importing/exporting text data (CSV files), sorting and filtering, updating data using formulas and lookups, formatting cells, basic charts and pivot tables, etc. 

• Experience with uploading content to a website using a Content Management System (CMS) and managing website structure (pages, links, etc). Checking and, if needed, lightly sub-editing content (text or graphics) to suit or fit. 

• Using databases — e.g. Customer Relationship Management (CRM), an understanding of database structure, table relationships and how data is used/stored. 

• A good grasp of cyber security best practices. 

• Using Zoom & Teams for meetings and webinars 

Desirable Requirements 

• Experience of using and managing WordPress website CMS and/or WooCommerce, notably in an online shop/store/retail environment, including stock control and inventory management. 

• Experience of Microsoft Intune for device management, plus Microsoft 365 conditional access and group policies 

• Experience of using and/or supporting Apple devices (macOS and iOS) 

• Basic understanding of core web technologies such as HTML, CSS and responsive design.

• Basic understanding of graphics and video applications, particularly for online content. 

• Microsoft Sharepoint content administration (web portal, pages, other content etc). 

• Experience of eCommerce and/or retail Point-of-Sale. 

• Creating and/or updating simple ‘how to’ guides and note for non-technical users. 

• A qualification in IT (e.g. diploma or degree, or a recognised industry or specialist accreditation) 

• Experience of the not-for-profit sector.
