We are investing in Informatics (Information Technology and Information Governance) to ensure our organisation safely embraces digital opportunities to enhance our services to our members. We are recruiting for an Informatics Project Manager to join our busy, supportive and high performing Informatics team. The current focus of this role is to manage the Customer Relationship Management project which is in flight. The post holder will be expected to manage other projects as they emerge and support the organisation to implement standardised project management methods in line with best practice.

The NHS is in a significant period of reform, due to the legislative change establishing integrated care systems (ICSs) as statutory organisations in 2022. It is also in a uniquely challenging period due to ongoing operational and financial pressures, rising demand, workforce challenges, and the need to recover care backlogs. The reform agenda and operational context both mean trusts need to find new ways to work in their local systems and deliver for patients.

About the role

About the role

Location: Community based in North/East Hampshire, with some homeworking elements. Occasional cover may be needed for all areas of Hampshire.

We are currently searching for a compassionate and dedicated team member for a rewarding opportunity as a Dementia Adviser. The successful individual will have the exciting opportunity to provide support and guidance to people with dementia and their carers in areas of North and East Hampshire; helping to maintain their independence, improving their sense of well-being, and putting them in more control of their lives. Our service is unique to each service user, created upon their personal circumstances and support needs. As a Dementia Adviser, you will offer knowledgeable support and guidance to your clients, that maybe in their own home, out in the community, by phone, letter, or email. You will also assist service users to access other services, providing signposting and referrals. The role will also include occasionally the running of our Singing for the Brain, where you will coordinate a team of
passionate and committed  volunteers and a Singing leader. 

We would love to speak to people with a professional understanding of supporting people with dementia – but it’s not essential! Most importantly, we are looking for a person who wants to be part of a fantastic team creating a supportive environment to help people affected by dementia.

About you

- We are looking for an individual who possesses ability to assess client needs along with the understanding of the need for client confidentiality.
- The role requires excellent non-judgmental communication skills, as well as great organisational and time management skills so you are able to manage your workload effectively across a wide geographical area.
- Notes, documents and personal information is logged on our database, so a good working knowledge of emails, word, excel and experience working with databases are also essential.

Emmaus Bristol is a local charity, working to help people out of homelessness. The work we do here changes lives.

This is a new role for Emmaus Bristol. Through our five-year-planning process we identified a new staffing

About Us

The Upper Room (TUR) works with a wide range of financially and socially disadvantaged groups including homeless people, people with long-term mental health conditions, asylum-seekers, refugees and ex-offenders – helping them to improve their lives and become productive members of society. Central to our offering is our UR4Meals service, providing free, home-cooked food to people who cannot afford to provide for themselves. We are also very proud of our UR4Driving programme, which supports people recently out of prison with free driving lessons in exchange for community volunteering. Gaining a driving licence greatly enhances their future employability prospects and helps break the cycle of re-offending. Additionally, our UR4Jobs project focusses on both client wellbeing and breaking down the many barriers to employment faced by disadvantaged people every day.

The role

Is an exciting new edition to the TUR team, created to capitalise on the fact that the number of businesses in our catchment area is 45000+, but we’re not trying to talk to all of them, just target a few – ideally by gaining referrals and recommendations. So the job is to proactively find those local businesses happy to talk to us, understand what they might be looking for by partnering with a charity, share our brilliant story along with the business case (which is strong) for them to get involved with us in some way. We have made an excellent start, we already have a small number of great corporate partners, and this job is about taking it all on to the next level. As you would expect the role is about creating contacts, networking, maximising the face-to-face time with prospective partners and where possible gaining referrals. And, ultimately this is all because, the bigger our portfolio of corporate partners all feeling great about their involvement with us, the more able we are to raise the funds we need to keep up with an ever-increasing demand for our services.

About You

You live within - or know well, West/Central London, you probably need a job with some working flexibility and want to have genuine belief in the product or service you’re talking about. You have a CV that demonstrates solid experience in a comparable role in a ‘business-to-business’ environment, a role - the success of which, is dependent on the levels of energy and proactivity you provide. This could be in another charity, CIC or other Non-Profit organisation. However, if you have a solid B2B background and want to explore a change of direction you are also very welcome to apply. You are comfortable and confident with working autonomously, you can articulate and ‘bring to life’ your story through your presentation skills. Job description

This is an exciting time to join a highly successful and friendly fundraising team at Meningitis Research Foundation (MRF) as out National Events Fundraiser. Our ideal candidate is passionate, proactive and organised and will enjoy supporting hundreds of Team MRF runners who are fundraising to defeat meningitis.

Events Fundraiser

Salary: £23,000-£28,000 (depending on experience)

Location: Bristol, hybrid or remote working with monthly meetings in Bristol 

MRF National Events Programme

The MRF National Events Fundraiser is responsible for a significant proportion of our events income with hundreds of runners each year taking on the challenge of participating in iconic races such as TCS London Marathon and A J Bell Great North Run.

Many of our race participants join Team MRF for deeply personal reasons, having had first-hand experience of the disease. Without Team MRF runners we would not be where we are in the race to defeat Meningitis, they are fundamental to our work and have been so since our early days as a charity.

The National Events Fundraiser is an enjoyable role at MRF within a very successful fundraising team, which last year raised over £500,000 by supporting hundreds of runners on Team MRF.

Role Summary

This role is all about working with people, encouraging them as part of Team MRF and supporting them to reach their fundraising goals. You will need to be enthusiastic, outgoing and thrive in motivating people to take action through their fundraising.

You will need to be an advocate for MRF’s work to defeat meningitis, enabling people to achieve their goals and achieving the best for the Charity. It is through the determination of everyone involved with the national events programme that we are able to deliver a number of our goals as a charity. You will harness that passion to help each runner succeed and understand what a difference they make along the way.

With many different elements to the role from planning, marketing, stewardship and event delivery you will need to be flexible and adaptable. This isn’t a fully desk-based job, as at different points of the year you will get the chance to meet Team MRF runners face to face by attending the events themselves and delivering celebratory post-race receptions.

With large teams of runners across a rolling annual events programme you must feel comfortable in managing deadlines, overlapping plans and keeping on top of supporter communications. Whilst we have systems in place to support this, our ideal candidate is someone who enjoys taking responsibility for their own workload.

This a fun role that sees the events through from start to finish and a great opportunity for the right candidate.

The Hepatitis C Trust develops projects nationally where peers use their lived experience of injecting drug use and hepatitis C, to provide education and training, increase hepatitis C awareness, and access to testing and treatment for people living with hepatitis C. 

Working with the South West Peninsula ODN, The Hepatitis C Trust are now expanding this commitment through the introduction of the HCC (Hepatocellular Carcinoma) surveillance and early liver disease detection programme.

Working under the guidance of the South West Peninsula Peer Programme Manager, the post-holder will work alongside other identified partners to help develop a community outreach liver surveillance program and carry out HCC early detection activity and interventions across Plymouth.

About the role
 
Location: Office-Based in our Birmingham Office

Working alongside the Operations Business Support Team Leaders and the wider Operations Business Support Team, this role will be responsible for the delivery of printing services. This will be achieved through the running of a fast paced and reliable Print Room, ensuring that all outgoing documents are printed to a high standard and in accordance with Alzheimer’s Society brand guidelines.
 
The post will play a pivotal role in ensuring that people affected by dementia receive timely and professional communications from the services they access and that Alzheimer’s Society events and groups have all necessary publications required to promote and conduct their services. The role will also be responsible for the timely digitisation of paper records to enable effective archiving of Society data in line with information governance standards and data protection legislation.

About you
 
You will play a pivotal role in ensuring that Alzheimer’s Society staff and people affected by dementia have access to requested resources in a timely manner and to the highest standard.
 
You will:

- Be a team player, supporting colleagues and who knows when to ask for help themselves.
- Work well under pressure and independently.
- Be confident in using Microsoft 365 applications, specifically MS Teams, Outlook and Word.

About the Youth Endowment Fund 

We’re here to prevent children and young people becoming involved in violence. We do this by finding out what works and building a movement to put this knowledge into practice. 

In recent years violent crime has risen significantly. Homicides, assaults, robberies and offences involving weapons have all seen sustained growth. We have also seen large increases in violent crime involving children and young people. This is a tragedy. Every child captured in these numbers is an important member of our community and society has a duty to protect them. 

The Youth Endowment Fund (YEF) is a charity with a £200m endowment and a mission that matters. We exist to prevent children and young people becoming involved in violence. We do this by funding great initiatives, finding what works and working for change – scaling up and spreading the practices that make a difference.

This role and why it’s important 

It's critical to our mission that we understand how and why young people become involved in violence. The YEF’s work combines conducting rigorous evaluations and research studies with hearing directly from young people. It is also important to us that young people are central to the messages we share externally.

Your role involves ensuring that young people’s perspectives are heard and integrated into our work. This includes supporting our Youth Advisory Board (YAB) and helping young people’s voices play a central part in YEFs external communications.

This role also supports the wider team managing grants, contracts and providing general team support.

Key responsibilities:

• Plan engaging activities for YAB meetings and events. These activities require working some evenings and occasional weekends. 

• Provide support and pastoral care to YAB members, including personal development planning and safeguarding.

• Help recruit YAB members (young people aged 16 –25) through interviews and managing recruitment. 

• Develop and schedule the YAB induction programme for new members. 

• Monitor attendance and engagement of YAB members. 

• Coordinate YAB attendance at external events. 

2. Facilitating Youth Voice in communications: 

• Act as a bridge between the YAB and our external communications team. 

• Work with the communications team to amplify young people's voices on social media. 

• Assist young people in sharing their views and stories through various communication methods. 

3. Managing grants and contracts: 

• Maintain records of payments and tasks using Salesforce. 

• Assist stakeholders and team members in using Salesforce effectively. 

• Support in procurement processes and grant management by organising documents and scheduling meetings. 

• Proactively identify and address issues. 

4. Collaboration and support: 

• Work closely with other roles (including our Operations and Culture team) within YEF to ensure coordinated efforts and sharing of best practices.

Our Sport Team has an exciting opportunity for you to join them, working in Camden and across London to engage those experiencing homelessness into physical activity and improving their quality of life. 

About the role: 

As a Sport Coordinator, you'll be responsible for planning and delivering varied activity sessions for both adults and young people across different services, both internally and externally. You will work closely with the Sport Manager to effectively coordinate support from freelancers and volunteers. Your role will extend to broadening the accessibility of sports and exercise within SHP's services and among its residents, for both adults and the young people we support. Additionally, you'll play a key part in growing the programmes reach, forging partnerships with similar organisations and charities, while also advocating for the significance of physical activity within the homeless community. 

The approach taken with clients will be psychologically informed, incorporating an understanding of Personality disorder, complex trauma and addiction. The outcomes for your role include developing positive and sustained relationships of trust with clients supporting them to engage in regular physical activity, and see an improvement in their overall health. 

About you:

• Demonstrable knowledge of fitness and sporting activities, application and implementation 
• Sports and coaching qualifications relevant tot he sector. 
• Demonstrable knowledge of motivating and supporting vulnerable adults and young people into sport and exercise. 
• Ability to develop and deliver structured group-based physical activity sessions with both adults and young people.

As a Supported Internship tutor, you will play a crucial role in guiding and inspiring our interns as they begin be their journey towards meaningful employment. You will facilitate a supportive learning environment where interns are immersed in real workplace settings, receiving continuous feedback and honing their employability skills. Your dedication and expertise will equip our interns with the confidence and competencies needed to thrive in adulthood and competitive employment.

Main Duties and Responsibilities 

• To effectively plan and deliver an employability curriculum whilst embedding functional skills (Entry 3-Level 2) and/or delivering maths and English qualifications at these levels. 
• Provide engaging teaching sessions that promote skilsl development and independence in the workplace.
• Implement appropriate assessment, target setting, recording, reporting and evaluation of the progress of the interns. 
• Identify interns skills to enable them to participate in a variety of work-based tasks to build marketable, competitive skills leading to employment. 
• Collaborate with the employers (Gardeners and Charity Shops) to create meaningful internship opportunities and facilitate successful work placements.
• To work alongside job coaches to perform specific workplace analysis, job analysis, task analysis, and job matching activities
• To seek appropriate future employment consistent with the interns interests and skills 
• As a personal tutor, be responsible for the emotional and social welfare of the interns. 
• Work with parents, local authorities and other supported internship stakeholders to support the progression of the interns
