Responsibilities and Person Specification:
This role will be key in embedding a culture of continuous development that supports Independent Age’s strategic priorities. You’ll have a variety of responsibilities, from helping design and deliver learning initiatives to supporting evaluation and overseeing training administration. You’ll have opportunities to be creative, contribute to projects and work with colleagues across the organisation.
You should have proven success of designing, developing and delivering inclusive and engaging training resources and interventions, both face-to-face and virtually. You should also have strong skills in communication, organisation and evaluation. You should have experience in sourcing learning and development solutions, building relationships and in applying learning theory.

This is an exciting opportunity to join Refuge as a domestic abuse refuge worker, providing high quality practical and emotional support to survivors of domestic abuse and their children living in our refuge accommodation across Cambridgeshire.
The post holder will work closely with survivors from the point of crisis and admission to the refuge, through to move on from the emergency accommodation. This involves providing a personalised, holistic support and safety plan, enabling survivors to access housing, welfare, benefits and legal advice.
You will also work in partnership with both statutory and voluntary sector partners to ensure that the whole range of survivors’ needs are met.

This is an exciting senior policy role in our committed policy team leading the fight to end child poverty in the UK. The Recruitment team is responsible for sourcing, selecting and hiring for 500 places for Approach Social Work (previously known as the Frontline programme) in local authorities across England.
You will be joining us at our busiest time, and will have day to day logistical and administration responsibilities with focus on supporting applicants through the selection stages of our programme, Approach Social Work.

We are seeking a compassionate Floating Refuge Worker to join our Westminster service, providing high-quality support to women and children escaping domestic abuse. Based in Westminster, London, this position involves offering practical and emotional support to survivors, ensuring their safety, and assisting them in rebuilding their lives. You will cultivate a safe and welcoming environment at our Refuge, aligning with Refuge's values and commitment to ending violence against women and girls.
As a Floating Refuge Worker, you will support the women during crises, conducting keywork sessions, developing safety plans, and advocating on their behalf. You will assist with accessing housing, welfare benefits, legal aid, and other essential services, while maintaining meticulous case records. You will also play a crucial role in the refuge's efficient operation, managing referrals, and collaborating effectively with partner agencies and statutory services, as well as other charities. The ideal candidate will be a compassionate and resilient individual possessing strong communication and organisational skills. While experience in the Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) sector is advantageous, we welcome applications from individuals with transferable skills and a dedication to supporting survivors. In this role, you will support the commercial and teams to generate analysis and translation of Fairtrade impact-data. Your work will then enable communication of Fairtrade impact to the public, deliver higher level of transparency to our commercial partners and support meaningful and data-driven engagement with our key stakeholders to build global commitment for further action in support of Fairtrade farmers and the workers.
We are looking for someone who has advanced skills and significant experience in data management and analysis and insights generation. With the experience of and ability to conceptualise and design solutions such as visualisation dashboards and infographics, you will be able to translate and communicate complex information to diverse groups of stakeholders & audiences.
In addition to your technical skillset, relationship management, teamwork and the ability to relate to internal / external senior stakeholders are paramount, as is a can-do, solutions focused and entrepreneurial attitude. The Role
The Commercial Operations Manager plays a crucial role in driving financial sustainability by generating income and managing commercial activities through venue hire, event planning, merchandise sales and securing strategic long-term partnerships, enhancing existing revenue streams, and identifying new opportunities.
The position will ensure the charity maximises its commercial potential while staying true to its mission and values.
About you
We are looking for someone who has at least 3 years' experience in an income generation role, including venue hire and event management, ideally in a charity setting.
You will be organised and planful in your work with the ability to project manage activities with strong budget management skills. You’ll have the ability to communicate well and work with a variety of individuals and will be able to negotiate and influence well. You need to be comfortable working independently and able to manage multiple different projects at pace.
