Job Title: Training Facilitator

Location: Our central office in Islington, just a 10 minute walk from Highbury & Islington station. Hybrid working, with a minimum of two days a week spent in the office or at one of our services, along with regular travel to various sites across both inner and outer London. Kindly be aware that step free access is not be available at our central office, and some of our other services. 

Salary: £30,900

Shift Pattern: 12 month fixed term contract, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 09:00 - 17:00. You may be required to work outside these hours and days as required.  

About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Training Facilitator to join our Talent Development team, part of the wider People and Culture function at SIG! In this role, you’ll lead specialised training programmes from identifying learning needs to designing and delivering engaging sessions for our staff, residents, participants, and external partners. Whether in person or online, no two days are the same. Some of the key subject areas include: 

De-escalation, conflict management, team building, grief and bereavement, housing/Independent living, employability, confidence and self esteem, and resilience

In this role, you'll:

• Support the full training cycle from research to planning, delivery, record keeping and managing admin
• Understanding care staff needs to support them whilst making a positive experience for staff, residents, external stakeholders
• Help bring information come to life, ensuring its engaging for the audience, promoting inclusivity, safeguarding, and a positive learning culture
• Adapt content deliver style to suit all learners from diverse groups; identifying skills gaps and implementing feedback for improvement
• Deliver training sessions across a variety of locations, including inner and outer London, along with other locations throughout the UK

This role delivers a range of dynamic and engaging financial education programmes to young people,adults, and professionals. Call for Expressions of Interest

Title of Consultancy: Field Entomologist

Location: Aguigadji, Ketou District (field-based, with regular reporting to the Sightsavers country team)

Background of Project Work

The Bellec Trap project supports the field implementation of entomological material evaluation in Aguigadji, Ketou District. The consultant will oversee this community-based project, focusing on strengthening the capacity of blackfly collectors, organising the analysis of entomological indices, and coordinating and monitoring project activities in the field.

What this project work will focus on

The consultant will be responsible for:

• Training blackfly collectors on SOPs for human-landing-catch and Bellec trap collection
• Daily equipment checks and provision of essential materials
• Anticipating and addressing equipment shortages
• Assessing the physiological condition of collected blackflies and identifying vector species
• Calculating entomological indices and documenting trap placements
• Collaborating with Principal Investigators to develop SOPs for virtual supervision
• Identifying and mitigating challenges in project implementation
• Providing regular documentation (images and video) of trap placements

Key responsibilities

• Strengthen the capacity of blackfly collectors for Bellec trap and HLC collection
• Organise the analysis of entomological indices
• Coordinate and monitor the implementation of the project in the field
• Supervise and report to the Sightsavers country team

Duration of the consultancy

The consultancy will last six months, split into two phases:

• Phase 1: 17 November 2025 – 17 February 2026
• Phase 2: 1 August 2026 – 31 October 2026

Payment terms

The agreed budget for this consultancy will be discussed during the interview process. Consultants with a proven track record in the areas outlined will be engaged through an expression of interest process. Full details of the project, including the scope of work, expected outputs and deliverables, as well as budget information, are available in the attached Terms of Reference.

Consultant’s expertise

• Master of Science in Medical and/or Veterinary Entomology or a related field
• At least five years’ experience in entomological fieldwork
• Experience with electronic data collection applications (e.g., Kobo Collect, ODK Collect)
• Proven experience in analysing and interpreting entomological data
• Experience as a supervisor and trainer in entomological surveillance and data collection
• Practical experience in morphological identification and dissection of blackflies
• Strong analytical, project management, and communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure in an emergency context
• Excellent command of French (professional fluency in English desirable)

About the role

We are looking for a Lead Trainer to oversee our non-accredited courses covering England and Wales. Current training courses include topics such as responding to domestic abuse, employer training, DASH risk assessment, and MARAC chairing, among others. You will also contribute to the development of new training courses in response to emerging needs from specific commissioners, while actively monitoring sector developments to ensure our offerings remain relevant and impactful.

You will be part of the SafeLives Training and Development Team, with shared responsibility for developing, delivering and continuing a range of courses from within our suite. More broadly, you will work to ensure that SafeLives’ training programmes are in line with our strategic priorities and are of the highest quality, including course development and delivery with external partners and associate trainers.

Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week.

Contract: Fixed term for 6 months, until 30th May 2026.

The Role

Young Trustees Movement is looking for Freelance Trainers to help us deliver our suite of trainings and shake up the charity sector from the inside. Our Freelance Trainers will deliver our trainings Board Boost (for young people) and Across the Board (for charity boards), as well as occasional bespoke sessions for a variety of clients. You’ll be responsible for running our trainings, keeping groups engaged and guiding discussions in an inclusive and supportive way that is in alignment with our movement values.

We’ll provide you with all the relevant training, resources and materials you need to run our sessions independently - and you’ll join a growing network of people helping us advocate for youth leadership & voice.

Main Responsibilities

• Lead and conduct training sessions using Young Trustees Movement content & session plans

• Facilitation of group discussions - Skillfully manage group dynamics, including handling difficult conversations, and ensuring all participants feel heard and respected

Travel Requirements:

This role will require circa 6 weeks of UK travel per year to deliver our residential courses. Each course is up to one week in duration.

The role holder may be asked to travel internationally to deliver training programmes in support of our global team of affiliates and volunteers, unlikely to exceed 2 weeks in duration.

This role may also be infrequently required to deploy as part of a ShelterBox project delivery team, working alongside our programme partners. These deployments are unlikely to exceed 2 weeks in duration.

The individual should enjoy delivering training, developing annual plans to address the compliance needs of an organisation, managing complex logistics involved with residential training, and working alongside staff and volunteers.

Main role and responsibilities

As Training Manager, you will be responsible for the development, planning and delivery of ShelterBox's core training calendar. This encompasses our range of mandatory and compliance training courses, alongside our residential training programmes and any other programmes as decided in collaboration with the Head of Learning and Development. Through careful planning, budgeting and engagement with key stakeholders across the organisation, you will ensure the core calendar and associated training content is relevant to the evolving business needs and is able to be accessed by all who require it. You will ensure the stewardship and maintenance of our training resources, and relationship management of key contacts at our training venues and volunteers to enable long-term, sustainable delivery of our programmes. In addition, you will support the delivery of other L&D solutions as required by other organisational requirements.

Duties will include but not be limited to:

• Annual planning of our core training calendar in-line with the business planning and budgeting cycle
• Development and management of the budget to enable the delivery of the core training calendar in-line with the budgeting cycle and promoting the best value-for money
• Planning and delivery of the Travel Security Training programme in-line with the requirements of the Deployable Personnel Minimum Training Standards Policy
• Planning and delivery of the We Are ShelterBox programme in-line with the induction pathway and business need
• Working with the People Assistant, ensure the management of all course and participant logistics including travel, accommodation and expenses.
• Scheduling and delivery of all compliance and mandatory training programmes including, but not limited to: GDPR; Cyber Security; Anti-Money Laundering; Anti Bribery; Payment Card Industry; First Aid; Trauma Risk Management; Fire Marshall, Etc.
• Maintenance and resupply of all training resources required to deliver our core calendar programmes, including inventory management of our 40ft shipping container.
• Business partnering with key risk owners such as Head of Legal and Risk, IT Service and Security Manager, Facilities Manager, and Head of Security to ensure our compliance needs are being met with the course content we have available, amending as necessary.
• Track and report on the compliance of our people against our mandatory and compliance programmes, feeding into the People and Risk Committee papers.
• Manage all risk assessment and mitigations processes for our training programmes, ensuring they are up to date, relevant to the risks faced on our programmes and our compliance with them.
• Support the management of the Qualsafe-registered "ShelterBox Training Centre" that enables the delivery of in-house first aid qualifications.
• Deliver Qualsafe-regulated, in-house first aid training as well as developing and delivering austere first aid training packages relevant to our work in high-risk environments.
• Develop and manage relationships with external service providers and volunteers to enable the sustainable delivery of our residential training programmes.
• Work with the learning management system to ensure all learning initiatives are tracked and monitored for completion.
• Support the delivery of capacity sharing initiatives with our programme partners in high-risk locations as required by the Programme Delivery team.
• Support the delivery of corporate and donor engagement events as required by the Philanthropy and Partnerships team

Other responsibilities

• Any other duties as required which are deemed appropriate to the level and grade of the post.

As a vital part of the safeguarding team, the Trainer and Facilitator will play a key role in developing and delivering safeguarding training across the Diocese. This includes ensuring that all those with safeguarding responsibilities are equipped with the knowledge, confidence, and understanding necessary to recognise, respond to, and prevent abuse, and to create safe and caring church communities.

The role requires both strong organisational and interpersonal skills. The postholder will deliver training online and in person, adapting content and delivery methods to meet diverse learning needs and contexts. They will also monitor compliance and engagement with training across the Diocese, maintaining accurate records and preparing reports for leadership and governance bodies.

If you have excellent engagement & presentation skills, good IT competency, the ability to effectively prioritise and manage your workload - matched with a conscientious and flexible approach, then this may be the opportunity for you. 

Main Duties And Responsibilities

Training Delivery
To deliver training both in person and on-line, in Safeguarding leadership, and raising awareness of Domestic Abuse, including evaluating pre and post training session work

Safeguarding Training Coordination:
Coordination of the diocesan safeguarding learning and development programme, ensuring alignment with national frameworks and standards.

Training Administration and Record Management:
Organise around 80 training sessions annually, managing bookings, materials, publicity, and attendance records, and maintaining accurate safeguarding training data for individuals and parishes.

Reporting and Team Support:
Produce reports and statistics on training compliance and trends

We are looking for someone with:

· A qualification or demonstratable experience in training or education.

· Demonstratable experience in evaluating pre and post training session work.

· Demonstratable safeguarding experience.

· Good clear communication skills, in particular a friendly and sensitive training delivery manner, and confidence in in running Zoom and Teams for training.

· High level of ICT and database skills, in particular the ability to input data accurately and extract reports as required.

· Understanding and assurance of absolute confidentiality in relation to records held in safeguarding files and databases

About the role

The purpose of this role is to support the Centre Manager in managing the facility known as SCTC Raleigh which is hosted at HMS Raleigh. We operate within and as part of HMS Raleigh, this requires significant co-ordination and liaison across the wider team at HMS Raleigh. The purpose of SCTC Raleigh is to facilitate and support the delivery of cadet training for all organisations of the Royal Navy Cadet Forces. This role is responsible for facilities management and health and safety reporting to the Centre Manager.

Responsibilities

· To support the Centre Manager to facilitate all activity hosted at the centre

· Lead on arranging all logistics in support of the centre’s activities

· Ensure the centres facilities are maintained appropriately

· Manage the routine health and safety records and actions for the Centre Manager

Requirements

· Strong administrative and organisational skills.

· Experience/knowledge of uniformed and/or youth organisations

· Experience working within the Military environment preferably Royal Navy.

· Can demonstrate ability to form and maintaining collaborative relationships.

· Ability and willingness to work evenings and weekends

The Role

As a key member of the Quality and Training team, you’ll take the lead in managing in-person training events. • Planning, coordinating, and hosting in-person training events across the UK
• Ensuring Associate Trainers are booked and prepared with relevant materials
