About the role

This critical role will drive our social media activity at a national and local level. This will be achieved through ensuring targeted messaging is of a high quality, is insight-led and will inspire action as well as support the people we help and attract new audiences. You will have:

• Experience of developing engaging content for owned social media, driving channel growth, measuring key metrics to inform performance and innovation.
• Experience of working with defined budgets to create paid plans and strategies. Reaching defined target audiences driving new people to our owned channels.
• Experience of moderating user generated content that can at times be challenging from the perspective of its unpleasant nature and in volume.

When a family member sustains a spinal cord injury it is a life changing experience for the whole family. They can feel very isolated and that no one understands what they’re going through.

Back Up’s Family Support Service is there to help. We enable a wide range of family members of all ages whose loved one is affected by spinal cord injury (SCI) to improve their wellbeing, build a support network and transform their lives through Back Up’s services. 

The Family Support Coordinator will assist in supporting family members on an individual basis as well as in group settings as appropriate, together with providing support in the process of identifying, recruiting and training new family support volunteers.

A Family Support Coordinator will be comfortable and efficient with data management and GDPR compliance.

Lived experience of having a relative with SCI is essential, together with sharing our commitment to transform the lives of everyone affected by spinal cord injury.

What you'll be doing:

• Championing excellence: Provide outstanding services to all housing clients, ensuring their needs are identified, assessed, and met with appropriate, empowering support.

• Proven experience in managing within a supported housing service, ideally with a strong understanding of local authority contract delivery, performance management frameworks, and outcomes-based commissioning.
• A proactive leader with a passion for continuous improvement and experience in driving positive change within housing services, including developing and implementing effective support planning processes and staff development initiatives such as reflective practice.
• Strong financial management and budgetary control skills.
• Excellent leadership, motivation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• A solid understanding of health and safety and safeguarding policies and procedures.
• Experience conducting risk assessments and utilising tools like the Outcome Star.
• Demonstrable ability to work collaboratively with local authority commissioners and  registered social landlords to report effectively on service delivery and outcomes, and ensure robust compliance with contractual requirements.

As Digital Marketing Manager, you will lead FareShare's digital marketing function, and will deliver ambitious, insight-driven initiatives that drive engagement, grow audiences and maximise impact.

You will be responsible for setting the direction for all digital campaigns including across paid media, organic content, email journeys, SEO, and analytics. You will manage a small team of two and work closely with colleagues from across the organisation.

Core responsibilities will include:

• Digital strategy and performance, including the development and implementation of integrated campaigns across social, search, email and web; and of setting and monitoring KPIs for engagement, traffic and conversion as well as tracking channel and campaign performance
• Social media and content, including management of all organic and paid social activity. Purpose of the Job:

This role leads the day-to-day delivery of Communities 1st’s support for voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise (VCFSE) organisations and volunteer centre engagement. You will play a key role in supporting community groups to be welcoming, accountable, effective and sustainable, and lead engagement with both new and established organisations.

We’re looking for a confident and capable leader who combines strong values with practical delivery skills. This role is ideal for someone experienced in the sector, ready to take on a broader management remit, with potential to grow into a future senior leadership role..

General Responsibilities

• Act as a key point of contact for VCFSE organisations seeking support, advice and partnership.
• Lead the planning and delivery of multiple services, projects and programmes in line with agreed objectives.
• Line manage and support staff and volunteers across the team, ensuring clear workplans, regular supervision, and high performance.
• Ensure your team meets key deadlines, outputs and targets set by funders or Communities 1st.

Develop Volunteering Locally

• Lead the delivery of our Volunteer Centre services.

Drive Community Engagement and Partnerships

• Build strong relationships with local organisations, public services, community leaders and funders.

Today, 12 children and young people will be diagnosed with cancer. We’ll stop at nothing to make sure they get the right care and support at the right time.

About the role

We’re looking for a Learning and Development Coordinator (known internally as People Development Coordinator) with either experience in learning and development and/or a strong interest in building a career in the field to join our People Development Team

You’ll support the team in the coordination of internal and externally commissioned learning and development activities, working closely within the team, your departmental colleagues, and internal subject experts on a wide range of subjects and topics that are core areas for our workforce. You will maintain and continually improve our course evaluation, record keeping, and administrative processes, and bring new ideas and solutions to improve efficiency and measure impact. By supporting the wider charity with corporate induction and activities that help the workforce to drive their own development, you will play a key role in ensuring our people are supported to be the best they can be and maximise their talents for the benefit of children and young people with cancer.

This is a part-time role (21 hours a week). This is a hybrid role which can be home-based, hybrid or office-based (Bristol), with some flexibility depending on the post holder.

What will I be doing?

No two days are the same at Young Lives vs Cancer. So, summarising your ‘day to day’ isn’t easy. Here are some of the main things you’ll be doing, but you’ll find more details in the job description.

• Promoting the 70:20:10 model and providing the appropriate resources and signposting to enable our workforce to proactively drive their own development.
• To promote and support the use of new and existing learning and development tools and opportunities to enable people to develop themselves.   
• To work closely with the rest of the People Development team, People and Culture business partners and internal client base to coordinate and commission high-quality, value for money learning opportunities which further Young Lives vs Cancer’s ability to reach our strategic goals. 
• Create, maintain, and develop learning and eLearning resources in collaboration with appropriate subject matter experts across the charity. 
• Promote and provide up-to-date information and support about the People Development offer to the rest of the organisation, including the UK’s Growth and Skills Levy scheme.
