The Recruitment & Compliance Manager plays a pivotal role in shaping the workforce of the organisation while ensuring that all recruitment activities comply with legal requirements and align with the organisation's values and objectives. This role involves the development and implementation of recruitment strategies that meet the evolving demands of the organisation, promote its unique opportunities, and enhance the employee value proposition.
The Recruitment and Compliance Team oversee the recruitment of our staff (permanent and bank), trustees, volunteers, consultants and agency staff.

Role Requirements
- Responsible for creating effective recruitment strategies that attract a diverse pool of high-quality candidates suitable for various roles within the organisation.
- Oversees the entire recruitment cycle, from job postings to candidate selection, ensuring the process is efficient and effective.
- Ensure that all recruitment activities adhere to relevant laws and regulations, as well as internal policies, by staying up-to-date with changes in legislation and ensuring the organisation’s practices align with them.
- Provide guidance and training to hiring managers and staff involved in the recruitment process, ensuring their understanding of and compliance with legal and policy requirements.
- Track recruitment metrics and prepare reports to assess the effectiveness of recruitment strategies and compliance measures.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders within the organisation to understand their recruitment needs and ensure alignment with the overall goals of the organisation.
- Ensure that recruitment processes promote fairness, diversity, and inclusion, while maintaining high standards for candidate experience
- Enhance the overall candidate experience to attract and retain top talent
- Develop and implement proactive forward looking recruitment strategies (Including Employee Value Proposition, early entry career pathways and direct recruitment/ brand marketing)
- Manage the full recruitment cycle, from sourcing candidates/volunteers to onboarding, driving the focus on continuous evolution and change of the service
- Develop and implement compliance programmes.
- Collaborate closely with the Head of People & Culture, to support the effective management of the centralised Recruitment budget
- Lead the streamlining of recruitment and compliance processes through the adoption of digital solutions

We are looking to recruit HOPELINE247 Advisers to provide individually tailored suicide prevention advice and guidance to young people and those who are concerned for them via our national multi-channel helpline HOPELINE247 and deliver suicide prevention training online and in community settings across the UK.
What you will do:
- Work as part of a team providing suicide prevention support to a range of clients via multichannel communication platforms.
- Work on a 7-day shift system
- Use professional judgement to assess the needs of the service users who present with risk to life and manage and report any matters related to safeguarding.
- Maintain accurate records and input data monitoring into the data base system.
- Participate in clinical supervision and reflective practise.
- Provide training, mentoring and coaching to new recruits.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- a degree or professional qualification in Health or Social Care, Community Work or a related discipline
- previous experience of working in an advisory capacity in suicide prevention or mental health
- a proven record of working directly with vulnerable young people
- experience of providing advice and guidance via multiple communication channels
- the ability to empathise, support and build rapport with suicidal people and those who care about them, remaining non-judgemental and adhering to the remit of the service
Salary: £16,230.50 per annum progressing incrementally to £17,944.67 per annum. (Scale point 24-28). As a night shift worker, you will receive an additional allowance of £10 per night shift. This will be paid on a monthly basis along with the salary.
Hours: 16.5 hours per week – 2 nights per week.
Working arrangements: This role will work shifts starting at 10:25pm and finishing at 7:40am. Shifts will be on a rota bases across a 7-day working week.

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced programme manager who will oversee The Advice Workforce Development Fund (AWDF). AWDF is a collaborative programme dedicated to strengthening and sustaining the social welfare advice sector in London. Uniting Staffordshire Against Hate provides information, advice, guidance and practical and emotional support to victims of hate crime and hate incidents to help them cope and recover from their experience and exercise their rights under the Victims Code. The role of a Training and Community Engagement Officer is an exciting and diverse one. The Role
Pregnant Then Screwed’s Tribunal Mentor Programme is a peer-to-peer support service for women and parents taking legal action against an employer for pregnancy and maternity discrimination. We match mentees with volunteer mentors who have been through the Employment Tribunal process themselves for 12 weeks of support through weekly calls. We relaunched the programme in October 2025, and now, with funding from The National Lottery, we are looking for a part time Support Services Coordinator to help us grow and maintain new mentoring matches.
As the Support Services Coordinator, you will be responsible for recruiting and inducting mentees and volunteers onto the programme and supporting matches throughout their journey. You’ll also drive engagement with the programme, and develop recruitment strategies for potential volunteers and mentees.

Summary
The Church of England is continually striving to improve its safeguarding practices. The 2020 report by IICSA on the Church highlighted failures in respect of child sexual abuse and, more broadly, the challenges facing the Church to get safeguarding right.
The Church's aspiration is that safeguarding is not experienced and approached as a matter of administrative compliance. Rather, it should be what the Church is - something that flows from its core beliefs and values, part of its DNA.
The Church has made important and positive strides over recent years. There is, however, still much to be done to keep children and vulnerable adults safe, and to promote their well-being.
The Church is a complex collection of different bodies. Most of the safeguarding work is carried out locally within the 42 dioceses and cathedrals in England. This work is supported centrally by a National Safeguarding Team (NST).
The NST are developing high quality, robust safeguarding learning and development pathways, based on legislative requirements and evidence of good practice. This role will be pivotal to delivering this.
This post will have responsibility for the creation and revision of national safeguarding learning, for planning its implementation and for leading work for the NST on evaluating the effectiveness of the learning pathways offered. Working alongside the Safeguarding Learning and Development Manager (Development Lead) the postholder is responsible for ensuring that the learning pathways are based on best safeguarding practice, adult learning best practice, latest relevant academic research, national legislation and safeguarding policies and guidance.

We offer a range of Community Support services which provide advice, information, onward referral and holistic outreach support to people who are experiencing mental ill-health or who need help with their mental wellbeing. Each year, we help 15,000 people experiencing mental ill health.

About our Complex Needs & Community Services
The successful candidate will manage and develop the Complex Needs and Community Teams at Hertfordshire Mind Network. The Services Manager will be responsible for leading a variety of services currently including the Flourish (asylum seekers and refugees) contract and the Primary Care Network contract. As the services grow and develop, other services/projects may sit under this post.
About the role
The role requires travel across Hertfordshire to our Wellbeing centres, community partnerships and external organisations and is responsible for a team of staff and volunteers who work within Complex Needs and Community teams across the county.
As a Services Manager you will be an integral part of the Senior Management Team (SMT) and work in partnership with Complex Needs Team Leaders and the other Service Managers across the Charity. Reporting into the Director for Complex Needs and Community you will be directly responsible for the efficient and effective delivery of two or more of our Services and a key member of the Herts Mind Network Safeguarding team.
Responsibilities of the post
- Support the Director of Complex Needs and Community with effective running of the complex needs and community services.
- Build strong relationships and liaise with commissioners and partner organisations.
- Manage the Flourish and PCN contracts.
- Work closely with all key delivery partners across the system to ensure the service is responsive, inclusive and easy to access.
- Support the development of services by promoting and being responsive to changing needs.
- Oversee the recruitment and management of client facing staff.
- Be a strong safeguarding level 3 champion and manage/support referrals.
- Ensure all policies and procedures are current, understood by staff and that they are working within these policies and procedures.
- Monitor outcomes and evaluate the service, ensure all KPIs are met.
- Process referrals and manage and prioritise all administration tasks associated with the service, including Payroll and expenses submissions.
- Be part of the Senior Management on call rota (out of hours), attend SMT meetings as required and support the work of the wider SMT.
- Maintain and enhance service delivery standards and effectiveness.
- Contribute to the service development by working alongside the Directors to evaluate service delivery and produce progress and monitoring reports.
