The Quality Mark Programme Lead will play a key role in shaping and supporting the strategic direction of our work with community and faith-led night shelters across England. Using insights from data and frontline experience to inform and strengthen the organisation’s wider work with night shelters, funders, stakeholder and partners.

The Quality Mark Programme Lead will be at the forefront of delivering and developing Housing Justice’s Quality Assessment Framework, a set of standards for non-commissioned emergency accommodation across England. This role is central to supporting shelters to meet and maintain high standards in safety, dignity, and service delivery for people experiencing homelessness. The postholder will lead the operational delivery of the Quality Mark, provide guidance and leadership to a small team, and engage with stakeholders to ensure the framework continues to reflect emerging best practice.

This role requires someone with excellent administrative, organisational and financial management skills, and the ability to coordinate multiple workstreams with care and precision. 

You will work closely with the Clinical Director, Board, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality therapeutic services, manage projects, support fundraising and communications, and ensure our facilities meet the needs of both clinicians and the community. The Centre Manager must be able to work independently and take initiative, whilst also being a collaborative member of a small team. As the face of the organisation, you will be based on-site and have excellent interpersonal skills to be able to communicate with people from all walks of life. 

Key Responsibilities are as follows:

Strategic Leadership: Work with the Directors and Advisory Board to support long-term planning and strategic development. Creatively implement systems and structures to maximise service delivery, productivity, and income. 

Operations and Facilities Management: Oversee the booking and management of clinic and event rooms, maintain high standards of customer service for building users and visitors, liaise with contractors regarding building maintenance and manage the general upkeep of facilities to maintain a high standard of health and safety. Respond to issues in a timely manner and maintain relationships with building users. 

Financial Management: Lead the financial management of the organisation, monitoring project budgets, invoices, licences and debtors. Chair a monthly finance subcommittee meeting and maintain an overview of the entire organisation’s cash flow and projection. 

Governance: Act as the main point of contact for the board of directors and advisors. Prepare and attend monthly board meetings. 

Programme and Event Delivery: Coordinate internal and public events including lectures, film screenings, and workshops - providing logistical and operational support including ticketing, promotions and managing event staff/volunteers. 

Clinical Project Management: Lead operational delivery of funded projects including two subsidised psychotherapy schemes: tracking budgets, collating outcome measures, writing reports, managing timelines and liaising with clinicians and patients. This also includes managing referral pathways, responding to enquiries from patients, sharing referrals with clinicians, and line managing an administrator who supports these tasks. 

Outreach Programme Management: Coordinate our multiple outreach programmes such as two Therapeutic Playgroups, one of which is for refugees and asylum seekers. This involves acting as the main point of contact for programme staff, reporting on their activities and progress to the board, and maintaining the operational frameworks necessary to allow the programmes to thrive. 

HR: Manage all HR elements of the organisation including but not limited to: advertising and recruiting roles, drafting contracts, keeping an up to date log of internal policies, and handling any staff concerns with discretion and professionalism.

Development and Fundraising: Support grant research, writing, and application processes in collaboration with the Development Coordinator. You will be required to liaise with key funders and maintain records, reports, and track project outcomes.

Communications: Lead on internal and external communications, including newsletters, social media and website content.

We’re looking for a Carer Assessment Service Manager to lead our countywide team in delivering statutory and preventative assessments in line with the Care Act 2014. You’ll provide leadership and day-to-day support to your team, oversee assessment allocations, and manage referrals through our internal CRM and West Sussex County Council’s systems.

You’ll also deliver staff supervisions, attend management and partner meetings, contribute to training, and support service development projects. A key part of the role involves quality assurance, trend analysis, report writing for senior leaders and commissioners, and managing assessment processes and budgets. You’ll stay up to date with Care Act legislation, ensure staff are trained accordingly, and take part in the duty manager rota to provide out-of-hours support and safeguard service continuity.

The Role

Overall purpose

Reporting to the Director of People, the HR Manager will take responsibility for the operational delivery of Breaking Barriers’ key People and HR activities and initiatives. You will have a strong knowledge of all aspects HR and provide proactive, practical support on day-to-day operations as well as leading strategic HR projects. A keen understanding of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) in the workplace and employee wellbeing is an advantage.

This role is essential to ensure we continue to be an effective, inclusive and people-led organisation. Your role will be vital in making sure Breaking Barriers is and continues to be a great place to work for its staff.

You will deliver day to day HR support to team members and managers, work across the organisation to advise on HR policies and good practice, deliver recruitment processes, and deliver and track Learning & Development. You will support on wider strategic initiatives, working with the Director of People to embed new strategies and projects informed by employee feedback.

As Trial Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering a high-profile randomised controlled trial focused on financial support for families in the social care system. You will oversee the coordination of the project, ensuring it runs smoothly, on time, and within budget, while acting as the central point of contact between funders, delivery partners, and the research team. Your responsibilities will include managing key administrative processes, ensuring data quality, liaising with external stakeholders, and supporting junior colleagues. What you’ll bring

Essential skills and experience:

• Proven experience managing, cleaning, and analysing large-scale quantitative datasets;
• Experience contributing to academic and non-academic research outputs, such as publications, conference presentations, or dissemination events;
• Ability to support and supervise junior team members effectively;
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills, particularly with vulnerable groups, Local Authorities, and funders;
• You will be highly organised and collaborative, with a strong understanding of research delivery and data quality management;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for both academic and non-academic audiences.

Hours: Part-time (28 hours per week)
