About the role

As Finance, FJ and Operations Director, you’ll work closely with our two Co-CEOs to deliver CFG’s mission: championing financial sustainability for charities. You’ll lead the strategic and operational delivery of our Finance Journey framework—a bold, sector-defining initiative that transforms finance professionals from technicians into strategic leaders.

This role blends internal leadership with external influence. You’ll oversee key functions including finance and governance, HR, digital/IT and business development,—ensuring CFG’s internal systems and external offerings are aligned with our strategy, values, and member needs.

The Role

As part of our mission, FareShare Midlands is delighted to be able to deliver our I-Can employability programme as part of Birmingham City Council’s PURE project. The PURE Project is funded by the government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund. The programme will provide a range of wellbeing, training and employment support to vulnerable residents of Birmingham in order to improve their lives and move them closer to the jobs market.

Main duties include

• Attend outreach events to promote the I-Can programme
• Respond to new referrals in a timely and professional manner
• Manage registration appointments
• Register new participants in line with contractual and audit purposes
• Carry out initial assessment interviews
• Establish suitable outputs and outcomes for participants based on individual needs
• Allocate participants to appropriate Employability Coach
• Arrange initial induction session with participant and Employability Coach
• Prepare participants starter files and training materials
• Input evaluation data onto spread sheet

As a Rough Sleeping Outreach and Assessment Worker, you’ll play a vital role in our Street Outreach Service and the new 24-hour Assessment Centre. One night you could be out on the street engaging with people sleeping rough; the next day you might be welcoming someone to the centre, creating a support plan, and linking them to housing and health services.

What you’ll do

• Carry out late-night street outreach and day-time reception shifts as part of a rota.
• Build trusting relationships with people who are rough sleeping and help them move quickly into safe accommodation.
• Provide trauma-informed, person-centred support, including assessments, personalised action plans and follow-on help to sustain tenancies.

-Work closely with partner agencies to connect clients to health, housing, and other specialist services.
-Keep accurate case notes and share information securely using CHAIN and InForm systems.

About you
You bring experience of working with vulnerable adults, ideally in homelessness or a related field, and you’re confident working late-night shifts. You can build rapport quickly, stay calm under pressure, and work well with partner agencies. Above all, you believe that homelessness should be rare, brief and non-recurring.

We’re an award-winning charity running local learning centres in the heart of the communities where the young people we support live. Our centres provide a high-impact education programme which includes practical learning support, pastoral care, and motivational and confidence-building activities for young people aged 7-18. Our aim is to enable students from the least advantaged neighbourhoods to realise their ambitions and achieve their wonderful potential.

As the UK’s leading university access organisation, our staff team is helping 56,000 young people each year at its 44 learning centres and extension projects across England and Scotland, and we plan to scale-up our provision to 50 centres over the coming years.

We are looking for a high-calibre candidate who will enjoy working each day with young people and who will thrive in a frontline, community-based, fast-paced and rewarding role. You will be taking up a permanent role as Centre Leader at one of our IntoUniversity centres in Nottingham. You will have responsibility for running your IntoUniversity centre, including managing your team, planning and delivering the programme, liaising with external stakeholders and meeting  IntoUniversity’s targets for delivery.

A substantial element of this role is delivering our education programme to children and young people aged 7-18, so you will need to have a genuine passion and enthusiasm for working with young people, including leading a class of 30 from the front, working with small teams of children and providing one-to-one support.

Centre Leaders are based at one of our IntoUniversity learning centres and work directly with young people, schools and families on a daily basis. It is therefore not a hybrid role and is based full-time in our centres

Salary

£36,400 per annum.

At our sanctuary (Finsbury Park, North London) for those in suicidal crisis, we offer a potentially transformative experience with a once-only 4-night stay at our non-medical, family-style house. Through respite, time and space for reflection and compassionate and nurturing care, our Volunteer Befrienders and staff team support an opportunity for the revival of hope and resilience.

The Role and Responsibilities

The role of “The Director” is to lead the charity ‘hands-on’ in the delivery of its unique 24/7 crisis service, to be responsible for the charity’s business functions, and to build and sustain a culture of relationships with staff, volunteers, funders, and other stakeholders that exemplify Maytree’s values day to day.

A full-time position requiring visibility and some flexibility of hours to accommodate evening or weekend events, and occasional gaps in cover.

Responsibilities as "The Director" ;

• Report and be accountable to the Co-Chairs and Trustees.
• Collaborate with Co-Chairs in formulation of strategy and business plans/goals.
• Take ownership of the Maytree model as established by the Trustees, in collaboration with the staff team of Lead Befrienders.
• Responsible for delivery of the model including its culture and values, and for commitment and achievement of goals.
• Lead and manage the day-to-day operational team of “Lead Befrienders”, overseeing their responsibilities for referrals, assessments, and befriending of guests, and their guidance and support of Volunteer Befrienders. This includes oversight of reflective practice and professional supervision.
• Responsible for managing house administration, volunteer resources, fundraising, finance, IT support, media/external relations, and the recruitment of appropriate staff where necessary.

Essential

• Passionate commitment to and understanding of Maytree’s model, its vision, culture and values.
• Resilient and resourceful, comfortable to take, hold and contain risk.
• Prior training in a mental health profession and/or significant experience as a volunteer working with/befriending the suicidal.
• Natural qualities of compassion, empathy, calm, containment; a good listener.

• Excellent communication skills in multiple contexts, e.g. with funders, referral partners, external events.

The Susanna Wesley Foundation is looking for a theologically literate researcher who has experience in conducting research and evaluations in faith-related contexts to join our team at an exciting time of growth.

About the role

This role will focus on our Books Together project. We are looking for someone to deliver interactive book sharing workshops for parents and their children aged 2 to 5.

This role would suit someone with experience in working with young children and families in educational or community settings, strong communication and group facilitation skills and knowledge of early childhood development and the importance of early literacy. We are looking for someone warm, approachable, and sensitive to the diverse needs of families.

You will need to feel confident encouraging parent-child interaction through guided activities and discussions and creating a positive, supportive environment that empowers parents to engage in reading at home. You will also need to manage workshop logistics, including setup, materials, and attendance tracking as well as occasional team meetings to review the success of the sessions.

About You

You will preferably have experience in training and project management, and it is essential that you are experienced in children, family and youth ministry. You must be experienced in the development and delivery of teaching programmes and have a good understanding of intergenerational faith development. As a good project manager and communicator, you are able to work with ecumenical and secular partners as well as local Methodist Churches and Circuits. Experience with digital content development and social media would be an advantage.
