The Faith and Membership lead plays a key role in the delivery of strategy focusing on faith and membership based organisation partnerships and beyond to increase income through innovation, partnership growth/retention, better collaboration and integrated relationship management. This role has a heavy emphasis on making new connections and building new partnerships to compliment UNICEF’s work and increase impact for children.

The successful candidate will be skilled in developing strategies for transformational funding with tangible experience in successfully securing new, multi-year gifts and building meaningful partnerships across a diverse group of partners. They will need to be results focused with an ability to connect, communicate and build effective relationships at all levels.

Main Responsibilities:

Office & Administrative Operations

• Manage day‑to‑day office operations to ensure a welcoming, efficient, and well‑organised working environment.

Event & Travel Coordination

Communications & Public-Facing Support

Systems & Organisation

About the Role

This role will lead Trase’s Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning agenda. Working as part of Trase’s Impact Team, you will strengthen our evidence base on how Trase influences decisions of governments, businesses and civil society on commodity trade, building credibility with external stakeholders, including donors, and supporting the ongoing development of our theory of change. 

Trase has made a significant investment over the last decade in developing an initiative-wide culture for learning and knowledge-based decision making including an established and regularly reviewed Monitoring Evaluation and Learning (MEL) function and annual plan.

As we enter a new strategic period (2026 – 2030) we are seeking to further strengthen the MEL function and invest more in understanding how our data and intelligence influences decisions and the role of transparency in driving change.

Our work spans 6 outcomes with a focus on influencing decisions, priorities and building capacity of civil society governments and the private sector in key producer countries and export markets for forest risk commodities.

Responsibilities

1. Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning (MEL) strategy and implementation (20%)

• Lead the development and implementation of MEL strategy and annual work plan
• Quality assurance and coordination of MEL inputs from across the team. 
• Review and maintain MEL data collection and knowledge management tools.
• Build awareness and motivation for effective MEL across the team.
• Support the role of MEL in influencing the development of Trase’s theory of change, strategy and planning.

2. Monitoring and reporting (30%)

• Strengthen Trase’s monitoring framework including using new approaches to integrate qualitative data and better understand the significance of Trase’s contributions (including change stories and outcome harvesting) across our intermediate outcomes, long-term outcomes and impact goals. 
• Quarterly progress reporting of outcomes and outputs for internal management. 
• Support on donor reporting including drafting narrative reports and updating results framework. 

3. Evaluation and learning (50%)

Oversight of biannual external evaluations and annual review of effectiveness questions across sustainability, impact, relevance, effectiveness and efficiency.

• Support internal reviews and evaluations across Trase teams and partners.
• Strengthen Trase’s learning culture, supporting team leads on facilitating learning sessions, retrospectives and thematic evaluations on key topics and applying these lessons in planning and decision-making. 
• Bring evidence and insights for proposals and the development of Trase’s theories of change.

About You

Essential behavioural competencies: 

• Bring a coaching and mentoring approach to create buy-in through influence and persuasion, foster positive relationships and build alignment on MEL.
• Solutions and action-oriented: able to prioritise effectively and work autonomously to develop and deliver strategy/tactics. Meets deadlines and proactively ensures dependencies are in place.

This is a global recruitment with visa sponsorship available for relocation to the UK for candidates that do not already have the right to live and work in the UK. Salary & Benefits

Salary: £55,000 full time equivalent (note: salaries in Brazil and Switzerland will be benchmarked to local teams). This role sits within Band D on Global Canopy’s remuneration framework.

Nature of contract: Full time or Part Time (60 – 100% FTE). Permanent contract. We are a flexible employer and welcome candidates wishing to work flexibly.

Base: In the UK our office is in Oxford, with flexible home-working arrangements in place. In Brazil and Switzerland we are fully remote working. • Lead on all IT systems across the organisation, including hardware, software, networks, cloud-based systems, and user access. 

• Be our cyber security awareness champion and link with the external IT support team on any suspected cyber incidents, phishing attempts, data breaches, or system vulnerabilities. 

• Purchase, install and configure new IT equipment and software in line with organisational needs, budget, and security requirements. 

• Support staff with installing and using approved software and digital tools, providing guidance and basic training as required.

• Support business continuity from an IT perspective, ensuring systems resilience, backups, and disaster recovery arrangements are in place and tested. 

2. Resources and Core Business Administration  

• Lead on organisational resource management, including purchasing of equipment, supplies, and services, ensuring value for money and compliance with budgetary controls. 

• Maintain and update the Asset Register, ensuring all equipment is logged, tracked, and reviewed appropriately. 

• Provide administration to support the core business team including finance, health and safety contractors, insurance contracts 

• Support the maintenance and regular review of the Business Continuity Plan, ensuring it remains accurate, practical, and up to date. 

• Assist with record keeping, document control, and data accuracy across administrative and resource systems.

Job Purpose

To lead and embed a consistent, high-quality people experience for the organisation’s volunteer workforce across the full lifecycle.

This role is responsible for ensuring volunteers are recruited, inducted, supported through change, and managed in line with organisational policies, values and strategy, while enabling operational teams to lead volunteers day-to-day within their departments.

The postholder will act as the organisational expert on volunteer lifecycle, ensuring a unified people approach that strengthens capability, retention and culture.

Key Accountabilities

Volunteer Lifecycle

· Own and manage the end-to-end volunteer lifecycle framework.

· Design, maintain and continuously improve volunteer policies, procedures and guidance.

Recruitment, Onboarding & Induction

· Support the volunteer recruitment processes.

Volunteer Training and Development

· Design and oversee a structured volunteer training framework aligned to organisational values, policies and role requirements.

· Ensure volunteers have access to appropriate learning resources to enable confidence and effectiveness.

· Embed ongoing development opportunities to support engagement, retention and succession.

· Enable managers to deliver training locally through guidance and best practice.

Cross-Team Collaboration

· Lead people aspects of change impacting volunteers working closely with the Head of Change.

· Collaborate with departments on role design and expectations.

· Upskill managers through guidance and training.

About You — Skills & Experience

• Experience in a People or Volunteer Management with responsibility for volunteer or workforce lifecycle activity
• Strong knowledge of recruitment, onboarding and development processes and how to create consistent people experiences
• Ability to design and implement policies, frameworks and practical guidance that support managers day-to-day
• Confident working across teams, building relationships and influencing without direct line management responsibility
• Experience supporting organisational change
• Skilled in developing learning and training approaches that build capability and engagement
• Organised and able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail
• Clear communicator with a collaborative, coaching style

You’ll be leading the strategic planning and budgeting for the Health Professional Support & Standards team, providing visible and influential leadership to the charity and driving a culture of high-performance, collaboration and continuous improvement.

About You

It is essential that youhave significant experience working in a health charity, leading a team that delivers programmes to support healthcare professionals. This includes developing education, driving engagement, and leading quality improvement initiatives across primary and secondary care.

You will be an experienced leader with a strong track record of managing teams and influencing senior stakeholders to improve standards of care. This is not a clinical role; we are seeking someone with proven experience leading healthcare professional support, education, engagement, and quality improvement programmes within a charity setting, rather than someone whose experience is primarily clinical.

Our Location

We are based in Hatfield, Hertfordshire, so we are easily accessible by road and rail.

In this role, there is plenty of scope for a hybrid approach working from home, although there will be times when you will need to be at face-to-face meetings with your team or our partner agencies. There is a requirement for you to attend a minimum of 24 in person days a year, and the charity’s mandatory ‘All Staff Together’ days which take place four times a year at our offices in Hatfield or a location in London.  There will be a requirement for significant travel and overnight stays around the UK (once a month on average).
