Role Description

The Training Manager at Grow is a pivotal role responsible for the design, delivery, and strategic growth of Grow’s youth employability programmes. The role bridges the gap between programme development and delivery, and ensures every stage of a young person’s Grow journey is meaningful and supports their progression into education, employment or training.

Strategy, Partnerships & Referrals

Develop Grow’s referral strategy and cultivate strong links with key partners across Sheffield.

Coordinate the referral pathway and onboarding of trainees, overseeing the induction process to ensure a welcoming, coaching-led introduction to Grow.

Programme Design & Delivery

Lead the design, development and continuous improvement of the coaching curriculum and resources across Grow Training and Grow Employment, including RHS‐badged content and new pilot programmes.

Deliver high‐quality coaching sessions that blend farm‐based activities with core coaching aims, creating meaningful engagement and supporting deep learning for trainees.

Develop and manage the Google Workspace systems and administrative processes necessary to run both programmes smoothly.

Oversee the quality of 1-to-1 volunteer coaching to ensure consistent trainee support.

Support the evaluation and reporting of trainee progress and overall programme outcomes and impact.

Employment Partnerships & Trainee Transitions

Lead the securing of employment partners and coordinate partnership operations to broaden trainee opportunities.

Develop and coordinate recruitment and HR administration for trainees for the Grow Employment stage

Design and coordinate robust transition pathways, ensuring trainees move confidently into their next phase of education or employment.

Wider Responsibilities

Take responsibility for developing and evolving Grow’s long‐term programme strategy.

Actively develop networks within the green sector to create new opportunities for Grow and our trainees.

Develop a supportive alumni community by organising social events and participating in wider Grow team activities. 

The Diocese of Chester is seeking to recruit a part time Safeguarding Training Administrator who will support the Diocesan Safeguarding Team in the administration of safeguarding training.

 

The successful candidate will be educated to a good standard and will have excellent administration skills. PANS and PANDAS are complex neuro-psychiatric conditions which are frequently 

misunderstood and misdiagnosed. PANS PANDAS UK are the only charity in the UK 

working to improve outcomes and ensure brighter futures for people affected by PANS and PANDAS. 

We provide support and information to families, and work tirelessly to inform medical 

practice, raise awareness, engage with medical, social work and educational 

professionals, and much more.

OVERALL PURPOSE 

The Education Training Development Manager will lead the operational development, and delivery of the national education training programme, ensuring it aligns with organisational priorities and emerging national guidance. The role is responsible for the coordination, growth and quality assurance of PANS PANDAS UK’s national CPD training offer for teachers and educational psychologists (EPs), supporting the development and delivery of high‑quality training modules and strengthening partnerships.

The role reports to and works in close collaboration with the PANS PANDAS UK Education Lead, who retains overall ownership, strategic responsibility and final decision‑making authority for the training programme and the wider education strategy.

Central to this role is working collaboratively with the PANS and PANDAS community and the Youth Advisory Board (YAB) to ensure all training is informed by lived experience.

Key Responsibilities

Programme & Content Development

• Jointly review, update and refine existing CPD materials with the Education Lead, informed by national guidance and emerging research, with the Education Lead holding overall responsibility
• Support development of new training modules and associated materials.
• Explore future delivery models to expand national reach and scalability.
• Identify opportunities for integration of PANS or PANDAS training/materials within University/Initial Teacher Training (ITT) and other relevant programmes.
• Work collaboratively with the PANS PANDAS community and Youth Advisory Board (YAB) to ensure training reflects lived experience.

Trainer Recruitment & Capacity Building

• Recruit and induct additional trainers.
• Support trainer development.
• Maintain consistent quality standards.
• Deliver priority or pilot training sessions when needed to help support programme growth and maintain delivery capacity.

Strategic Programme Oversight

• Provide leadership and direction for the development and delivery of the national education training programme within the strategic framework set by the Education Lead.
• Ensure training content and delivery models align with organisational priorities and upcoming national guidance.
• Lead long-term programme planning, sustainability and continuous improvement.

Partnership Development & Sector Engagement

• Build relationships with MATs, LAs, Universities and other national relevant organisations.
• Work with the charity Communications and Engagement Officer to promote the training models across social media and education networks.
• Attend and present at education sector events and networks to raise awareness of training opportunities.

Commissioning & Income Support

• Develop commissioning packages tailored to MATs, LA’s and other relevant organisations.
• Support pricing structures.
• Identify sustainable income opportunities for the charity via the training.

Quality Assurance & Evaluation

• Oversee monitoring and evaluation processes.
• Prepare reports for the charity as required.

Operational Coordination

• Coordinate scheduling, setup and delivery logistics for all training sessions.
• Manage bookings, confirmations, resource distribution, attendance recording and data collection
• Lead regular training team meetings to support planning and quality assurance.
• Support management and storage of training assets.
• Maintain regular communication with the Education Lead.

The Role

The Training & Events Officer is responsible for delivering comprehensive administrative support for training programmes and events at the bpf. The role encompasses coordinating the entire trainee journey—from application and onboarding to evaluations and reporting—ensuring efficient, compliant, and learner-focused processes. Uniting Staffordshire Against Hate provides information, advice, guidance and practical and emotional support to victims of hate crime and hate incidents to help them cope and recover from their experience and exercise their rights under the Victims Code. We also work to raise awareness and encourage reporting of hate crime across Stoke on Trent and Staffordshire. 

The role of a Training and Community Engagement Officer is an exciting and diverse one. You will be responsible for engaging with communities, including those most at risk of or directly impacted by hate crime, to improve awareness and understanding of hate crime, how to report it and how to access our specialist support service. You will do this in a variety of ways including by delivering awareness raising sessions and activities and attending events. You will also provide initial information, advice and guidance to victims of hate in the community and facilitate referrals into our specialist support service. You will be responsible for the development of meaningful and trusted relationships between communities and the service, so that the people who need our support know how to and are confident to access it. You will also be responsible for delivering our awareness raising training to professionals and communities.

This role is based at our offices in Hanley but most of your time will be spent working in communities across Staffordshire and regular travel is a key element of this role.

About the Role

As a Trainer, you’ll deliver a variety of courses to diverse groups, ensuring high standards of teaching and assessment. From CPR techniques to mental health awareness, you’ll empower learners with essential skills while contributing to the organisation’s life-saving mission.
 
You’ll manage your own schedule, travel to training locations, and be responsible for setting up engaging, professional sessions. With support from a dedicated team, you’ll maintain compliance with awarding body standards and contribute to the continuous improvement of training delivery.
 
 
Key Responsibilities
 

• Deliver and assess workplace training courses such as First Aid at Work and Mental Health Awareness.
• Set up training venues, ensuring all materials and equipment are ready.
• Conduct dynamic risk assessments at venues and act as a designated first aider and fire marshal.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of your subject area through professional development.
• Promote the organisation’s products and services to learners.
• Complete all required documentation promptly and accurately.

 
 
Skills / Experience Required
 

• Essential qualifications:
  • Level 3 Certificate in Learning and Development or equivalent, plus a valid course-specific qualification (e.g., First Aid at Work, IOSH).
• Experience:
  • Delivering first aid and/or health and safety courses to adults.
• Skills:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse groups.
• Other:
  • Physically able to perform CPR on a manikin on the floor.
  • Confident using Microsoft applications and digital tools for course administration.
  • A full driving licence and access to a vehicle for travel to training venues.

We’re looking for an empathetic and skilled Facilitating Trainer to join our Lived Experience Training team, supporting autistic trainers and trainers with learning disabilities to co-deliver the Oliver McGowan Tier 2 Training across Hampshire.

This nationally recognised programme helps professionals in health and social care better understand and meet the needs of autistic people and people with learning disabilities. You’ll play a key role in ensuring that trainers with lived experience are supported, empowered, and able to deliver engaging, high-quality training sessions.

We actively welcome applicants from all backgrounds and identities, particularly those with lived experience of autism, learning disability, or neurodiversity, and from groups currently underrepresented in our workforce.

You will:

• Facilitate Oliver McGowan Tier 2 training sessions across Fareham, Portsmouth and Southampton
• Support co-trainers with lived experience of autism and learning disabilities to prepare for and deliver training sessions
• Provide practical support around travel, accessibility, preparation and wellbeing needs
• Encourage the development and confidence of co-trainers, supporting them to contribute to and lead sessions where possible
• Ensure that training venues, materials and delivery approaches are adjusted to meet trainers’ individual needs
• Work collaboratively with the wider Lived Experience Training team to manage session registers, feedback and administration
• Support trainers to debrief following sessions where needed, promoting wellbeing and continued participation
• Promote inclusion, respect and empowerment in every training interaction

We’re looking for someone who can demonstrate:

• Experience delivering face-to-face training, ideally within health, social care or a related setting
• Experience building rapport and working collaboratively with autistic people and people with learning disabilities
• Strong communication, facilitation and organisational skills, with a collaborative approach
• An understanding of the barriers faced by autistic people and people with learning disabilities, and a commitment to inclusion and empowerment
• Knowledge of current issues and best practice within autism, learning disability and health and social care sectors
• Confidence balancing the needs of co-trainers, learners and training delivery requirements
• The ability to work independently as part of a distance-managed team
• Competence using Microsoft Office, Teams and Zoom
• A full driving licence or the ability to travel regularly across Hampshire

Essential requirements:

• Oliver McGowan Tier 2 Facilitator qualification
• Good standard of education, including GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent)

Desirable:

• Oliver McGowan Tier 1 Facilitator qualification
• A relevant training or teaching qualification

We’re looking for a hands-on and adaptable IT professional who combines strong technical expertise with a commitment to social impact. This role blends operational IT leadership with vocational training support.

You will take ownership of technical quality across our charitable refurbishment programme while working alongside teaching staff to support vulnerable adults in developing practical industry standard IT skills. Your contribution will directly support our mission to reduce the digital divide and create pathways into employment through technology.

Key Responsibilities

1. Refurbishment, Training & Technical Quality

• Act as the technical lead for all refurbished devices, ensuring consistently high standards for resale or donation
• Support teachers in delivering hands-on training, guiding learners through disassembly, diagnostics, repair, and software installation
• Carry out final quality control checks before devices enter the sales or donation pipeline
• Identify faults early and ensure devices are fully functional to minimise post-sale issues
• Evaluate incoming donations from corporate partners to determine refurbishment viability and processing requirements.
• Manage software installation and licensing (Windows/Office) across refurbished and internal machines

2. eCommerce & Sales Support

· Work closely with the Multi-Channel Sales Executive to support online sales activity

• Provide accurate technical specifications and condition assessments for listings
• Advise on pricing based on performance, battery health, and hardware configuration
• Help identify which devices are suitable for eBay versus community distribution
• Liaise with donor should there be any technical issues with devices
• Develop and implement ‘after-sales’ support for sold and donated devices.

 

3. Systems, Data & Infrastructure

• Oversee secure data wiping processes, ensuring full compliance with GDPR and data protection standards
• Manage the flow of devices through our CRM and inventory systems from donation to final use
• Maintain internal IT infrastructure, including network (Unifi Wi-Fi, LAN/WAN), patch panels, and server environment (IIS)
• Support hardware and systems including AWS environment, desktops, CCTV and display equipment
• Manage user accounts, backups, and disaster recovery processes to ensure continuity
• Provide general internal IT support across our systems

What We’re Looking For

Technical Skills & Experience

• Strong hands-on experience with Hardware to include laptops, desktops, tablets and smartphone hardware repair, diagnostics, and refurbishment
• Experience managing small networks (Unifi, LAN/WAN, patch panels)
• Familiarity with server environments and server management (IIS, SQL), CRM systems, and business tools such as Xero
• Solid understanding of data security, GDPR, and secure data sanitisation
• Comfortable managing both infrastructure and day-to-day IT support

Soft Skills

• Patient and approachable, with the ability to support individuals in a learning environment
• Able to explain technical concepts in a clear, simple way 
• Practical problem-solver with a hands-on mindset within the charity
