This is a key leadership role, reporting to the Director of Finance & Compliance, with direct line management responsibility for a team of finance professionals. You will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth running of finance operations, supporting strategic decision-making, and strengthening financial systems and controls.

What you will do

In this role, you will:

• Provide strong leadership and people management to the finance team, supporting, coaching and developing staff to deliver high-quality outcomes.
• Oversee the production and review of monthly management accounts, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting to budget holders.
• Lead on budget setting and forecasting, working closely with managers across the organisation.
• Manage cash flow, financial controls and reporting, ensuring compliance with charity sector requirements
• Support strategic projects including financial planning, capital development and service expansion.

You will also contribute to wider organisational priorities and maintaining strong external partnerships.

What we are looking for

This is a leadership role that requires highly developed people management capability, alongside strong technical finance experience.

You will bring:

• Significant experience in a finance role, including management accounts, audit and financial reporting.
• A recognised accountancy qualification or substantial equivalent experience.
• Proven leadership and people management skills, with experience of managing, developing and motivating teams.
• Strong organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience of working collaboratively across departments and building effective relationships at all levels.
• Knowledge of charity finance, financial regulations and best practice.

Programme Assistant to support coordination of capacity building and training for Emergency Medical Teams, and humanitarian and academic partners.

The key objective of UK-Med’s training and capacity building capability is to work with colleagues, members, partners, stakeholders and national health staff to strengthen response skills in order to enable Emergency Medical Teams and wider health services to be better prepared for emergencies. Integral to this is to ensure that the professionals who deliver UK-Med’s responses are well prepared, know what to expect, and deliver the best possible responses, resulting in positive health outcomes for the patients and communities we serve.

The Programme Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the delivery of high-quality Capacity Building and Training to internal and external audiences, with a key focus on supporting activities to ensure that preparation and training of UK-Med’s global workforce, comprising Core Staff and a Register of approximately 1,400 healthcare professionals worldwide runs smoothly.

Working under the guidance of the Programme Manager and closely with the rest of the Learning & Capacity Building team, the Programme Assistant will support and coordinate the delivery of high-quality capacity building and training interventions in line with UK-Med’s vision for our digital, in-person and simulation-based training capability.

The ideal candidate for Programme Assistant is someone passionate about Learning and Development and capacity building for humanitarian programming with excellent attention to detail, strong administration skills as well as skills in training coordination and effective communication. The Role

We’re looking for an experienced administrator to be based at our office on the beautiful Dartington estate in Devon. The Training Administrator will manage and market our online training programme.

Tasks are admin based and some repetitive work is involved. However, the role also involves marketing and speaking to clients about training topics. So, you’ll need to develop an understanding of our training and delivery style. There will be training and supervision on all aspects of the role. You’ll be working with one other

person (Jonathan – Founder of Talk action) but some days he will be out of office delivering projects. We’re based in a friendly shared office space but some days you may be working alone.

· Plan annual training programme dates and books trainers

· Supply tech support to online courses (Zoom training & support given)

· Speak with clients about in-house course enquiries

· Reply to course enquiries, enter course booking into spreadsheet and send relevant pre-course info

· Collect new emails for our mailing list (using email gathering software)

· Entering course information onto free online listings & social media

· Manage mailing lists (adding and removing subscribers)

· Input accounts and receipts (entering expenses & income into a spreadsheet)

Essential Skills and Experience

About the role

The Support & Training Coordinator role involves:

• Managing onboarding processes for new facilitators attending training, ensuring clear communication of expectations and timelines, including safeguarding checks
• Supporting the Support Coaches by coordinating essential ongoing facilitator engagement: including group calls, follow up sessions, communication touchpoints and additional resources

About the Role

As a Community Engagement and Training Officer you will recruit and manage engagement and fundraising volunteers and working collaboratively with the operational management to promote and raise awareness of the local service by engaging with the wider community.

The position is for two days per week (15 hours) and these can be worked flexibly across the week in agreement with your manager.

We are launching a pioneering initiative across Berkshire and North Hampshire to identify, prevent, and reduce the devastating impacts of gambling harms.

We are recruiting for 8 roles to build this brand-new, regional project team. Roles based in Berkshire will be employed by Citizens Advice Wokingham and roles based in North Hampshire will be employed by Citizens Advice Hart

Site locations

The SERT region, covers the south east of England, extending from Hampshire in the west to Kent in the east, with the northern border being south of the Thames, extending down to the English Channel.

Our office is based in Leatherhead which you will be required to attend approximately four days a month.

The amount of travel required depends on the role, and can be extensive. Most travel for an individual will be to work on project sites, which can be remote, or attending external meetings within the SERT region. The geographical range and frequency of travel is role dependent.

To support travel costs, SERT pays mileage at the current HMRC amount for travel within the SERT region. We do not pay mileage, time or any other costs for travel outside the SERT region, nor for any commutes to the office. Toll charges cannot be claimed.

About the Role

The purpose of this role is to coordinate the management and continuous improvement of the College’s Lifelong Learning Platform (LLP), ensuring it operates effectively for all users. You will provide high-quality administrative and secretarial support, including supporting formal committees and maintaining accurate records.

Strong IT and time management skills are essential, along with experience working with learner management systems and service processes. Knowledge of Agile or Waterfall methodologies and medical education frameworks is desirable. A degree or equivalent experience is required.

· Manage relationships with training venues ensuring desired dates are secured early in line with event requirements and budgets.

Manage volunteer applications and requests

· Work with Volunteer Development Manager to ensure application process is kept up to date and is easily accessible to prospective volunteers.

· Liaise with potential volunteers, following up on expressions of interest, providing triage, answering queries and providing information relating to roles which may be relevant and of interest to encourage applications.

· Maintain database records ensuring swift distribution of applications to services team

· Support the Volunteer Development Manager to identify areas of potential efficiency and improvement in working practices in the recruitment, training and onboarding processes.

· Work across the wider team to understand and support volunteer requests, proactively approaching active volunteers with projects and opportunities for them to get involved.

· Coordinate volunteer request opportunities with volunteers and volunteer managers to ensure requests are fulfilled to raise awareness of Back Up’s services.

Other duties and responsibilities

· Maintaining accurate records on the database, adhering to all relevant policies and procedures.

· Be a ‘Data Champion’, leading by example on the importance of good data practice and hygiene, and using the system to its best efficiency.

Reporting directly to the CEO, the Governance Manager will play a key role in supporting our management team and Board of Trustees, ensuring that LionHeart meets all statutory responsibilities by fulfilling governance requirements.

This includes overseeing the maintenance of the charity’s policies and delivery of the cycle of board and sub-committee meetings.

In 2026-27 we envisage this role leading a periodic charity-wide governance review.

About this key role

We are looking for a passionate and skilled manager who has excellent communication and organisational skills. Working under the guidance of the Southern Regional Manager, you will oversee a staff team and an expanding network of peer programs across Surrey.

Your work will involve maintaining and monitoring our existing HCT peer projects across Surrey. This will involve providing support and supervision to existing staff, managing operational issues on a day-to-day basis and overseeing the management of local projects.

Steamship Shieldhall is seeking to appoint an experienced freelance Commercial Manager to build new income streams to support the ongoing operation, conservation and sustainability of one of the country's most significant historic ships.

Shieldhall is berthed year-round in Southampton and welcomes passengers and visitors on board from 110 Berth in the Western Docks. She is capable of carrying up to 220 passengers and from spring to autumn each year operates a programme of public sailings ranging from two hour trips to full day cruises. She is also open for alongside events, and is available for private charters. In addition, she can be hired for use alongside such as for training activities, meetings, functions and filming.

The Commercial Manager will be responsible for identifying and realising new opportunities for revenue generation for Steamship Shieldhall, as well as supporting Shieldhall’s experienced volunteers with maximising income from existing activities.

This commission is an important element of the “Steamship Shieldhall: towards 2055, the next 10 years” project which is supported by a Development Phase grant from The National Lottery Heritage Fund.  The appointment is intended to cover both the Development Phase and the first two years of the Delivery Phase of our  project but will include a break-clause between the two phases. The Delivery Phase contract is contingent on a successful Delivery Phase grant application to the Heritage Fund

The successful candidate will have the right to set their own hours of work and will determine in agreement with the Shieldhall charity how best to undertake the work. This commision could be provided through self-employed individual, partnership or limited company.
