What the job involves

As Black Health Equity Programme Manager, you’ll be at the heart of delivering our bold new Black Health Equity Strategy 2025–2030, designed by Black men, for Black men. This is a hands-on role where you’ll turn strategy into action, ensuring that every milestone is met and every programme makes a real difference.

You’ll:

• Lead delivery of projects tackling health inequalities, from early diagnosis initiatives to culturally informed support programmes.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams across Health Services, Fundraising, Communications, and Finance to keep everything on track.
• Manage impact reporting, ensuring we measure what matters and share results with senior stakeholders.
• Line manage a Senior Impact Officer, coaching and developing talent.
• Represent the charity at key meetings and events, acting as a trusted ambassador for Black health equity.

About the Role

We're looking for a compassionate and driven Service Manager to join our residential service based in Havering. This role supports residents in temporary housing who are facing challenges with substance use. As a Service Manager, you’ll lead a dedicated team, making sure we deliver high quality support, performance and improvements across our service whilst representing values of the organisation. You'll play a hands on role in supporting individuals facing addiction, homelessness, and complex needs guiding them towards stability, independence, and brighter futures.

The service focuses on providing a 24 hour, 25 bed accommodation service to residents who are deemed to be high risk. They support those who are experiencing homelessness. All admissions are jointly agreed, and placements reviewed at a weekly Complex Needs Panel chaired by the local authority. Residents are agreed on the basis that they are: 

The role includes:

• Overseeing support related to substance misuse, ensuring effective interventions and pathways for service users
• Line Management and Leadership, supporting your team providing advice, guidance and support throughout their employment lifecycle
• Support the Service Manager in leading the day to day operational delivery of the service
• Risk Management ownership, ensuring processes and policies are followed
• Property and Housing Management, ensuring the accommodation meets our requirements, and repairs and maintenance are regularly reported and completed
• Financial Management, including petty cash and budget management
• Contract management and Internal auditing, admin, and general other duties as required

About You

We are seeking a passionate, driven and motivated colleague to lead this service in a trauma informed and inclusive way. Someone who is knowledgeable in the needs of our residents, particularly substance misuse and can support the team in delivering excellence. You will be driven with passion for what we do, and be able to work flexibly to meet service needs, providing new ideas and opportunities to develop the service further to continue to achieve excellence!

• Understanding and/or practical knowledge of the social and societal marginalisation that can be attached to people with substance abuse issues, addiction, exploitation, homelessness and within the criminal justice system
• Previous leadership experience
• Experience of working with confidently and ability to provide advice, lead a team on all aspects of the service such as resident related enquiries which can include housing, substance abuse support, signposting
• Ability to motivate and empower a team to achieve service KPI's through direct leadership
• Willingness and ability to work flexibly to meet service needs
• IT Proficiency, including Microsoft Office, and the ability to navigate and learn new case management systems and other types of organisational software

We’re looking for a Digital Communications Officer to support the Digital Communications Manager in promoting, strengthening, and protecting the reputation of the Academy by delivering and evaluating digital campaigns across key communications channels that engage and influence new and existing audiences.

You will achieve this by creating high-quality, engaging written and visual content that is on brand and optimised for different audiences and digital channels used by the Academy, including social media channels (LinkedIn, X, Instagram, Bluesky and YouTube), email and our website. What you will be doing

The opportunity:

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with proven project management experience who is keen to develop their experience in the social investment sector as part of a mission-driven Investment Group.

The role is key in supporting the delivery of our investment activity, including the project management of our annual investment performance cycle, investment governance and enabling the effective delivering of our investments from start to finish with our property, venture and lending teams.

This is a varied role that requires a logical and thoughtful approach to ensure the management of multiple work streams with rigour, purpose and pace in a professional manner. What you will do:

• Developing our project management systems and tools for the annual calendar of investment activities and the lifecycle of all investments that can be used by all team members. This will be developed and delivered in collaboration with stakeholders across BSC to manage the expected increased volume of portfolio tasks and checks.

• Working with the Director – Portfolio to project manage the effective updating of the pipeline with our property, lending and venture teams.

• Optimising technology, ensure key portfolio requirements are met across all investments such as checklists and follow-up actions.

• Optimising technology, ensure effective project management of amendments to portfolio investments.

• Project manage key change processes across priority areas of impact investing practice and process development.

Effective delivery of investment governance:

• Project manage the annual investment performance cycle working with key stakeholders across BSC, including financial performance meetings in December and impact and systems change meetings in June.

• Project manage the Portfolio Progress Meetings with our fund managers with admin support from the Investment Project Officer, including finalising minutes, lessons learned and actions in a timely manner.

Provide support across the investment group as required for ad hoc projects that support the effective working of the team, working closely with senior stakeholders and other colleagues within and outside the investment group.

Product Manager – HOSTHub Lead

Role Purpose  

As Product Manager  HOSTHub Lead, you will drive the vision, design, and delivery of HOSTHub, HOST’s secure digital platform for global civil society operations.  

HOSTHub is the central nervous system of HOST - connecting partners, funders, and internal teams across finance, legal, and operations. You will lead the platform’s development and optimisation, ensuring every user journey is clear, intuitive, and aligned with HOST’s empowering, expert, and empathetic values.  

Working closely with the Partnerships and Engagement teams, along with our development contractors, you’ll translate user needs into product strategy, coordinate with the external development team, and deliver tools that make life easier for changemakers, funders, and the HOST team.

Core Responsibilities  

1. Product Vision and Strategy  

Lead on the design, roadmap, and vision of HOSTHub as HOST’s flagship digital platform.

Define and own product milestones, prioritising features that improve efficiency, visibility, and impact.

2. User Journey and Experience Design  

Lead on designing the end-to-end user experience for hosted partners, funders, and staff.  

Map user journeys across onboarding, finance, compliance, and reporting workflows, identifying pain points and opportunities for improvement.  

Collaborate with the Partnerships and Community Support teams to align HOSTHub with the Hosted Partner and Funder Journeys.  

Work with the Communications Team to ensure all user-facing content is accessible, clear, and on-brand.

3. Development Oversight  

Oversee product design and development process, in coordination with the development team.

Ensure that all Hosted Partner and HOST team voices are included and prioritised into the platform development, acting as central focal point for all HOSThub needs.

4. Data, Systems, and Integration  

Work with the Data Analyst to ensure HOSTHub captures accurate, useful data for reporting and impact measurement.

We are seeking a compassionate, organised and proactive Bereavement Cafe manager to help children and young people who have experienced a bereavement.   Working 15 hours a week across Dorset during term-time,you will plan and deliver Bereavement Cafes which are guided, age-appropriate group sessions that help children to process their grief in a safe and supportive environment. 

Mosaic is a well-regarded charity which has a mission to provide specialist support to children, young people and families when they are struggling to deal with the death of someone close to them.  This role is ideal for someone with a background in working with children and young people,counselling, bereavement support, art therapy or education.  It's important that you're happy to drive to different schools during the week around the county to deliver the cafes, as well as planning the activities aross the term.

The Role

The Careers Adviser will travel across the East Sussex region to a broad range of school and college settings, delivering creative and inclusive Personal Careers Guidance, as well as assemblies and drop-in sessions as required.

Each student and each learning environment will be unique, so the opportunity lends itself well to candidates who enjoy traveling and working in varied locations, meeting people from diverse backgrounds, and educating people of all abilities.

You will routinely liaise with Careers Leaders and senior school/ college staff to arrange and deliver activities for students during the school day. Whilst most delivery will take place between 8:30am and 4pm, travel before and after these times will be required and occasional attendance at parents’ and options evenings will also be required, but you will be given time off in lieu where this is applicable.

We would require you to work five days-a-week, term time only, with a pro rata holiday entitlement. If you would prefer part-time only employment (minimum of three days a week), this can be negotiated.

Minimum Criteria

• Level 6 (or above) Careers Guidance Qualification
• In possession of a full, clean UK Drivers Licence with access to your own vehicle

Essential Criteria

• Experience of delivering CEIAG in schools / colleges, face-to-face with young people Enthusiasm
• A willingness to deliver activities during school timetables; occasional evening events rebalanced via “time off in lieu.”
• Knowledge of Post 16 and Post 18 education and training routes for young people with and without additional needs and disabilities
• Adept at juggling activities and travel, emails and routine project admin; balancing school site work with homebased preparation and admin
• Experience of Microsoft products and ability to use them effectively, including Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• A commitment to undertake all necessary training for the role
