The Office and Services Coordinator (OSC) plays a vital role in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations across The Winch and Belsize Community Library. As the first point of contact, you will be responsible for delivering a warm and welcoming front-of-house experience for visitors, including children, young people, staff, tenants, and contractors. The Opportunity

The EdTech Evidence Lead will play a key role in delivering one of our key projects, focusing on EdTech Evidence. Drawing on their experience and knowledge of EdTech, they will support EdTech companies and educators to build understanding about gathering and evaluating evidence for different EdTech products. They will develop guidance and materials to facilitate this, and work with internal colleagues and external stakeholders to develop resources, systems and processes that aim to promote and recognise ‘high-quality’ evidence around EdTech. 

Main responsibilities include:

• Developing tools and resources to support individuals and organisations to engage with, and in, gathering and evaluating evidence around EdTech
• Developing guidance and training which helps EdTech companies plan and carry out evidence-gathering activities for their products and prepares them to submit evidence for formal review
• Contributing to the development and delivery of processes and systems for formally reviewing EdTech evidence
• Build relationships with EdTech companies and other key stakeholders to understand their use of evidence relating to EdTech and engage them with the project
• Liaising with a range of stakeholders to promote the use of EdTech evidence and seek input into the design and development of key project deliverables
• Representing the project externally to promote engagement with both the project, and with EdTech evidence generally
• Leading on the delivery of key project deliverables and monitoring progress towards these.

You will lead all aspects of charity financial and resource management for two separate but closely connected charities, the Army Cadet Charitable Trust UK (ACCT UK) and the Combined Cadet Force Association (CCFA), which are supported by a single head office team. You will have primary responsibility for ensuring that the charities meet their statutory obligations, that financial functions are well ordered and support the work of the charities.

You will work closely with staff at all levels, often having to mentor the charities’ managers to help them plan and manage their own budgets.
Your financial responsibilities are substantial as you will have overall control and responsibility for all financial matters. The Role:

You will be joining at an important time for our team, covering a crucial role in ensuring accurate income processing, reporting, and financial management across the organisation. As part of the Finance team, you will work closely with colleagues across departments, particularly alongside our fundraising team, to ensure income is correctly coded and reported efficiently. 

With responsibility for month-end and year-end processes, as well as maintaining accurate and timely financial data, you will play a vital role in supporting decision-making across the organisation. As our director of digital and information security, you will lead our digital risk and resilience team and programme in order to help build resistance and resilience among the people and movements challenging unaccountable power.

Your focus in this senior role at this crucial time will be on leadership, strategy, growth, and culture, with specific responsibility for our digital risk and resilience programme, internal information security, and tech transformation. Your responsibilities will include:

Lead our digital risk and resilience programme

1. Manage the design and delivery of our digital and information security support, including:
   • Coordinate the digital security mentoring, accompaniment, and capacity sharing we deliver to at-risk activists and low-resource civil society organisations referred through our rapid response mechanism.

Home based role and living within the relevant region or close enough proximity to be able to travel and meet the requirements of this role’ (subject to meeting homeworking assessment requirements, which includes a minimum broadband speed of 18Mbps). 

In this key role you will be responsible for assisting the Senior Negotiating Officer to manage and support our stewards, safety and equality representative networks across West Midlands and part of Cheshire, advising them in providing individual and collective industrial relations support to members, working both in and outside of the NHS. You will also be expected to spend approximately 25% of your time, managing cases from across the UK, but predominantly from nearby regions.

The postholder will work in collaboration with other health trade unions across the region.

You will work with the CSP regional team to recruit and organise members, influence on local workforce issues and promote physiotherapy.

You will provide representation for members at disciplinary hearings, grievances and disputes with employers, and provide general advice and information to representatives and members on issues such as pay, terms and conditions, and employment legislation.

With significant trade union experience at a senior level, and an understanding of NHS structures and government policy on health, you will have excellent communication, negotiation, training and presentational skills, combined with a strong collaborative approach and a thorough understanding of, and commitment to, equality and diversity principles and the ability to put them into practice.

Croydon Almshouses is the oldest charity in Croydon. For over 550 years, they have been supporting people who experience the impact of poverty. Since 1447 they have offered almshouses, including Elis David Almshouses, a modern purpose-built block of 55 almshouses in South Croydon. For the last 40 years, they have also awarded grants to community groups and individuals of all ages across Croydon who are in need, or facing distress or hardship, and to local and national organisations which help them.

The role

The Executive Assistant to CEO & Governance Lead will provide support to the Chief Executive Officer to fulfil her responsibilities and enhance her effectiveness. This will also include working closely with the Board of Trustees and the Senior Leadership Team.

Key responsibilities

• Executive Support & Diary Management: Manage the CEO's diary, prepare for meetings, maintain action logs, and provide proactive support in work planning.
• Governance & Administration: Organise and service Board, Committee, and staff meetings, including agendas, minute-taking, follow-ups on actions, ensuring compliance with governing documents and charity law. The role will line manage a Senior Administrator and facilitate trustee recruitment, induction and development.
• Safeguarding and Data Protection: Ensure data protection and safeguarding legislation are adhered to, embedding law in policies/procedures (training provided).
• Operations & HR Management: Oversee office operations, supplier contracts, data protection compliance, HR functions, and staff development.
• Project & Budget Management: Supports and sometimes leads projects, manages a small budget, and ensures cost-effective procurement of services and equipment.

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

• Significant experience of administration, particularly servicing a Board and Committees
• Significant experience in providing support to a senior executive, preferably as an EA
• Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
• Exceptional organisation skills and attention to detail
• Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office
