We're looking for an experienced and creative fundraiser to help grow and run the daily management of our Individual Giving programme, inspiring more people to support our work and become loyal, long-term champions of young people across the UK. The Individual Giving Manager is a maternity cover role for one year, starting September 2026.

You'll lead the development and delivery of engaging fundraising appeals across digital and offline channels, creating exceptional supporter experiences that encourage one-off donors to become regular givers. Working closely with colleagues across Fundraising and Brand and Marketing, you'll use data insight, creativity and organisational skills to build meaningful supporter journeys and maximise engagement.

You'll manage campaigns from concept through to evaluation, monitor performance against targets and budgets, and ensure all activity meets fundraising and compliance standards. You'll also support the development of our Individual Giving and Legacies Executive and contribute to a collaborative, inclusive team culture.

With support from colleagues across the department and wider Trust, you’ll provide stewardship to a portfolio of mid and high-value relationships, cultivate and secure new donors, and act as a champion for this crucial area of work across the organisation.

You will be an experienced fundraiser with outstanding communication skills and strong technical legacy skills and knowledge, as well as in-depth knowledge and track record of success in growing a major donor programme. You’re a proactive, positive and confident fundraiser with the experience and expertise to take the lead across our legacy and major donor income streams.

We are seeking an experienced, strategic and proactive fundraiser to join our growing team as we embark on our next phase of expansion. Building on strong foundations in trusts and foundations, BCYP is now investing in legacies and community fundraising, two income streams that will be central to our long-term sustainability and ability to reach significantly more young people in the years ahead.

Are you an enthusiastic fundraiser who is looking for a rewarding role where you interact with generous supporters?
We're looking for a Community Fundraising Officer, based at our rehoming centre in Harefield, West London, to promote the work of Dogs Trust to key audience groups and deliver excellent customer care for all Dogs Trust supporters, but particularly potential and existing legacy pledgers.

What does this role do?
As Community Fundraising Officer, you’ll:

• link the rehoming centre with supporters in the local community, developing relationships with local individuals, businesses, community groups and clubs, 
• feed into various income streams through these relationships, identifying prospects in the community and develop a pipeline of future donors and legacy donations,
• steward existing and potential donors, always providing them with a seamless supporter journey, ensuring they have a clear understanding of the work we do and feel motivated to support our meaningful local work,
• organise supporter events, talks and tours both onsite and externally.
• completing all administration related to donations to the centre, including thanking and banking.

Interviews for this role are provisionally scheduled for week commencing 6th July 2026, and will take place at our rehoming centre in Harefield.

Could this be you?
To be successful in this role, you’ll need some community fundraising experience, with the ability to build connections and connect with the local community. To do this, you’ll need excellent communication skills and be able to confidently approach and interact with supporters. While you’ll be a key part of the rehoming centre team, you’ll be regularly be working independently, so strong organisational skills and a proactive approach is essential.

This role is based at the rehoming centre, and the post holder will spend lots of time in the community meeting supporters. The working pattern is typically Monday and Tuesdays, but flexibility is required and is likely to involve some evening and weekend work, depending on the nature of the work.

About the role

As our Fundraising Manager, you’ll be the charity’s dedicated income lead. You’ll develop and deliver a sustainable fundraising programme that reflects the compassion and community spirit at the heart of HCCN.

You’ll work closely with our Operations Manager, trustees, volunteers, employees, supporters and partners to:

·Grow income across community fundraising, events, corporate partnerships, individual giving and legacy giving

·Build strong relationships across the local community

·Represent HCCN warmly and professionally at events and activities

This is a hands‑on, varied and rewarding role where you’ll see the impact of your work every single day.

Key responsibilities 

·Develop and deliver an annual fundraising plan and budget

·Identify new opportunities with individuals, businesses, community groups and trusts

·Create engaging campaigns, appeals and supporter journeys

·Grow and steward a strong donor and partner pipeline

·Lead a sensitive, low‑pressure legacy giving presence

·Support volunteers and community fundraisers

·Plan and deliver safe, cost‑effective fundraising events

·Build mutually beneficial corporate partnerships

·Support a trustee, researching and writing high‑quality grant applications

·Maintain accurate data, reporting and GDPR compliance

·A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across Huntingdonshire

Desirable experience includes: grant writing, legacy fundraising, digital fundraising, marketing/comms and working in a health or community‑based charity.
