The Community Foundation for Staffordshire & Shropshire is the leading independent grant-giving body in Staffordshire and Shropshire.  We award more than £2m each year to voluntary and community groups, registered charities and social enterprises across our area.  We are based in Stafford, with a satellite office in Telford, and are committed to supporting our local voluntary, community and social enterprise sector.

Within our Business Development Team there are two vacancies for Projects & Partnerships Officers.  These roles will each look after specific projects under our management.  Some projects managed by the Community Foundation include the Best Kept Village & Community Competition, Trust Transfer projects, and frontline projects supporting rough sleeping, digital exclusion and care leavers, amongst others.  As well as general administrative tasks, you will help to arrange events which support and promote our projects, create resources and manage relationships with our supporters and donors. You will be responsible for the direct delivery of some of our projects, and help to steer future projects and partnership work.  We are especially keen to hear from people with a proven track record in project management, project delivery or from under-represented communities.

Kingston Charitable Foundation (Kingston CF) is growing - in 3 years we’ve doubled our staff team thanks to a grant from the City Bridge Foundation and to date we’ve awarded over 130 grants to local charities, and community groups, who share our vision to build stronger communities where everyone’s needs are met.  We are a Place Based Giving scheme that is part of the London Funders movement.

Now we’re looking for a confident, creative, and proactive Development Manager to join our small but dynamic Kingston CF family and develop and manage our fundraising development programme for both corporate and individual giving.  This role is the perfect fit for someone with entrepreneurial flair looking to make a real difference - both by helping to raise money for the Foundation’s vital work, and by ensuring our supporters feel valued and supported.

You’ll have innovative ideas to help us to secure new partnerships and nurture new and existing relationships to mobilise local giving. As an experienced fundraiser with a proven track record of securing major gifts or corporate partnerships at the four figure level, you’ll have a can-do attitude and a capability for developing strong networks and contacts.

You will be outcome orientated and a motivated self-starter with excellent communication skills too.

Experience

• At least three years of proven successful experience in major gifts or corporate partnerships fundraising of four figures or more.
• Proven ability to manage and develop diverse relationships.
• Excellent written and oral English language communication skills.
• Experience in writing and delivering persuasive copy for supporters.
• Thorough understanding of data protection and, specifically, UK GDPR requirements pertaining to fundraising and sponsorship work.
• Full understanding of fundraising guidelines the code of fundraising practice.
• Experience of using Salesforce or a similar CRM.

Essential skills

• Have excellent IT skills, including Office 365 / Excel.
• Have good communication and presentation skills.
• Proven ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
• Excellent organisational skills.

Kingston CF have no formal offices, this role is primarily home-based, with the possibility for co-working days.

Kingston CF launched as an independent charity in January 2021, following eight successful years as local community fundraising project, Love Kingston. The ideal candidate

We are looking for a skilled trusts and foundations fundraiser, with expertise of securing 6-figure, multi-year funding from grant funders, charitable foundations, lottery or statutory sources. They should have first class research and prospecting skills that are combined with awareness of innovations and upcoming trends in the area of income generation. Someone who can thrive on collaborative working and combine this strategic thinking, plus being able to work with a diverse range of staff and volunteers to ensure relevant information is captured in proposal creation as well as ensuring outputs are correctly monitored for reporting to donors would be a perfect fit.

Working Hours: Full time 35 hours per week (Part time, minimum 3 days a week considered)

Work Location/Hybrid Working Pattern

This role will be based at our Head Office in central London. Mothers’ Union operates a hybrid working model. Staff are required to work an aggregate minimum of 90 days per calendar year (pro rata for part timers) at our Head Office, Mary Sumner House in central London. Tuesdays are our anchor days where every staff member is expected to be at the office. The 90 days includes anchor Tuesdays. In addition, Thursday is a core working day where part time staff are expected to work, either at home or from the office as needed.

As a Fundraiser, you will play a crucial role in generating financial support for CAN’s mission and programs. You will be responsible for developing and implementing fundraising strategies, cultivating relationships with donors and philanthropic organisations, and managing fundraising campaigns.

1. Develop Fundraising Strategies:

• Work closely with CAN Founders and the Fundraising Consultant to develop comprehensive fundraising strategies aligned with organisational goals and the 3 year organisational strategy.
• Identify and prioritise fundraising opportunities, including grants, individual donors, corporate partnerships, and events.
• Work with CAN volunteers on developing CAN’s commercial model and associated funding streams.

2. Donor & Funder Organisation Cultivation and Relationship Management:

• Cultivate and steward relationships with existing funder organisations ensuring ongoing engagement and support.
• Identify and engage prospective funders and donors through following funder open calls, targeted outreach and relationship-building activities.

3. Fundraising Campaigns:

• Plan and execute fundraising campaigns, including online and offline initiatives, to generate revenue and raise awareness of our organisation's mission.
• Collaborate across CAN teams to develop compelling fundraising materials and messaging.

4. Grant Writing and Reporting:

• Research and identify potential grant opportunities from foundations, trusts, and government sources.
• Write grant proposals and applications, ensuring alignment with both CAN and funder priorities and requirements.
• Prepare regular reports for funders, providing updates on project progress and outcomes. Project managing the CAN Founders and Staff Team to ensure proper project kick offs, data gathering and sign offs.
• Writing and project managing the creation of funding bids and reports. Supporting on relationship building with funders, with support from CAN Founders, the CAN Staff Team and Fundraising Consultant.

Skills and experience

• Previous experience in fundraising, preferably within the non-profit sector.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire donors and stakeholders.

The Bike Project is fortunate to be supported by a wide range of Trusts & Foundations, Major Donors and Corporates as well as many committed members of the public. In 2023, we took the decision to consolidate and bring in-house our fundraising activity. Over the past twelve months we have worked hard to ensure that we create a virtuous circle in our fundraising and engagement activity, for example, looking at how our corporate partners can engage their employees to support our work.

This is a new role which will lead on major donor fundraising and development of corporate partnerships and earned income through an in-house employee servicing and team away-day offer. When someone sustains a spinal cord injury, it is a life changing experience.

Back Up’s Regional Outreach and Engagement team are the very face of the organisation and are based across the UK, working directly with spinal cord injury centres, hospitals – or indeed anywhere that people affected by spinal cord injury may be.

As a Regional Coordinator, you will build relationships and take ownership for what happens in your geographical area. • To generate income from individual donors at the low, mid and major gift level. To support the Executive Trustee steward existing, and cultivate new, major donors.
• To research and develop a trust and foundation pipeline and prepare and submit grant applications and draft progress reports
• To grow our income and diversify our donor pool through targeted campaigns
• To grow our network – including influencers and organisations that can help to raise our profile
• To ensure appropriate stewardship processes are in place so that donors at all levels feel well thanked and informed of their impact.

Fundraising Manager (Community & Corporate)

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Fundraising Manager to join a small, friendly and expanding fundraising team.

Position: Fundraising Manager

Location: Oxford/Hybrid

Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 FTE, Pro rata

Contract: Part-time, 21 hours per week

About the role

This is an exciting time for the organisation. They have a new Head of Fundraising, and a very successful Trusts & Grants fundraiser and are now looking to expand the fundraising team to complement the current skills and expertise and strengthen the relationship with supporters.

You will have the opportunity to build relationships with community organisations and corporate partners who fundraise and donate so generously to the organisation to help support young people through grief.

Key responsibilities include:

• Responsible for engaging and inspiring the communities around us to support the charity and build awareness of the work they do.

• Grow the existing corporate partnerships and develop new ones.

• Deliver activity to maximise funds from the Oxfordshire community, including schools and community groups.

• Building positive and long-term relationships with community partners via face to face, telephone and email communications.

• Create presentations on the organisations work and impact, to deliver to community groups.

• Support our partnerships within the community to involve them with event fundraising opportunities and activities.

• Manage a small portfolio of fundraising events and community initiatives, including third-party events and challenges, to maximise income and grow our supporter base.

• Responsible for recruiting, supporting and stewarding fundraising volunteers.

• Optimise the supporter experience of those who fundraise for the charity to deliver agreed objectives and income targets.

About you

As the Fundraising Manager, you will have previous experience in a Community and or Corporate fundraising role, will love developing relationships and can inspire others to act.

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Experience of creating and managing great supporter relationships to deliver agreed objectives and income targets.

• Demonstrable understanding of supporter care.

• Comfortable working with CRM databases and standard Microsoft Office software.

• Effective communication with a range of different people and organisations, both face to face and over telephone.

• Excellent oral and written English and ability to present effectively to a range of audiences.

• The ability to inspire and persuade through sensitive communications, to rally support and advocate for the needs of our service users.

• Ability to drive and have access to a car.

Oasis Community Hub Oldham team are now in a position to employ an experienced team leader to work alongside our Strategic Community Development Lead and the children’s, youth and community hub team in Oldham.  This positive, adaptable and talented leader will help us strengthen, sustain and grow our wide range of programmes. 

The role will encompass community and youth support activities, delivering quality, diverse and integrated services, as well as leading a small and passionate team. The role will be focussed on the Oldham East community (surrounding Oasis Academies Clarksfield and Leesbrook), working together as part of Oasis Hub Oldham.

Key responsibilities will be:

· To build positive and supportive working partnerships with the local community, supporting them to access Hub services and activities to develop their skills, knowledge and aspirations.

· To work with the Strategic Community Development Lead to create a plan to deliver joined up services that address the needs of the local neighbourhood, including community projects, holiday provision, and volunteer, family and youth support.

· Provide leadership and line management to community and youth project workers, building a positive and well-functioning team that models the Oasis ethos and values.

· Lead on all aspects of the day-to-day administration and supervision of a team of volunteers and their activities, developing and inspiring them to develop best possible practice to meet the needs of the local Hub deploying volunteers’ strengths and acting as an authentic role model.

The successful post holder must have:

· Self-motivation, resilience, with excellent organisational and inter-personal skills.

· Successful experience of working with parents / carers (voluntary or paid work)

· Proven experience of community development

· Experience working with challenging behaviours and attitudes

· Knowledge of safeguarding practices and health and safety
