This is an exciting opportunity to lead a collaboration partnership project between TCC, Wrexham Citizens Advice, and Wrexham Foodbank. This project will work to reduce poverty and the impact of poverty on people living in Wrexham.
The project coordinator role will be supported by management from the three partnership organisations.
The project coordinator will be responsible for the management and coordination of the project including budgeting, planning and implementation, monitoring, and evaluation. They will coordinate the project partners and wider stakeholders to support an influencing campaign in Wrexham funded by Lloyds Bank Foundation England and Wales.
Key Tasks Include:
- Raising awareness of the problem of poverty and its structural causes amongst those living and working in the county
- Making local elected officials, policy makers, and local organisations aware of the drivers of poverty and encourage them to take steps to alleviate these drivers
- Running community workshops, training, and other engaging activities to partner with people, including those with lived experience of turning to poverty support organisations (such as a food bank)
- Think strategically about how best to bring about change locally, working with a range of stakeholders, and enabling local people to engage with local policy makers
- Collaborative working – bringing the partner organisations together in a strategic and creative way
- Coordinating the setting of agreed project milestones with partners and track progress
- Being the main point of contact for all partners
- Coordinating partnership meetings (confirming chair, finding meeting venue, sending invites, setting meeting agendas, and distributing notes)
- Preparing presentations and reports with input from all partners
- Coordinating and implementing monitoring and evaluation of the project
- Being the main point of contact for funder
- Managing project budgets and finances alongside the project finance lead
- Ensuring people with lived experience and grassroots organisations can input meaningfully

Terms and Conditions:
- Salary £11,856 (FTE £27,434)

- The project coordinator will be employed by TCC (Trefnu Cymunedol Cymru/ Together Creating Communities).

About You:
Educated to GCSE level or equivalent with Maths and English at Grade C or above with effective communication and organisational skills you will understand and be committed to promoting volunteering. Using your understanding and commitment to equity and diversity you willprovide basic advice on volunteering procedures to colleagues and applicants.
With a good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint you will be able todemonstrate accurate administration skills including word processing, spreadsheet creation and digital filing.
A requirement of this role is the ability to travel between Trust sitesin a timely manner.

The Role

These are ambitious plans and we are not expecting to achieve everything at once. We are looking to create a series of distinct, prioritised projects so we can move forward and need more people capacity in our small team to do so.
The Project Coordinator is a new role, and will undertake the essential administrative, communication, planning and reporting needed to help make our plans a reality. In the first instance, this will be to assist with key building renovations and improvements such as creation of disabled facilities.
The Project Coordinator will not necessarily have formal project management experience, but must be able to pull together a wide-ranging set of requirements, create and improve processes and practices that will allow us to better manage our site development in future.
This role might suit someone wishing to work either three full days or part of each working day. We are happy to discuss flexible working hours.
Principal Duties
These will include:
Gathering and analysing management data
- Using customer bookings and finance systems to extract key information.
- Defining and reporting on key metrics to evaluate the progress and success of projects.
- Collating and using data as required to help with other key strategic tasks such as cost-benefit analysis and business cases.
- Providing data as required to support business planning, funding bids, marketing and communication.
Project communication
- Identifying and engaging with a wide range of key stakeholders, such as partners, customers, contractors, consultants and planners.
- Putting in place systems for better project communication, internally and externally.
- Assisting with scheduling of tasks and meetings.
- Reporting as necessary to the Centre Director and Trustees.
Project coordination
- Helping to define project aims, needs and budgets in line with our strategic priorities.
- Obtaining quotations, costings and development options for Hill End to review and approve.
- Assisting with legal and contractual considerations.
- Putting in place new and robust systems to record project progress and next steps.
- Defining and improving existing management systems.
- Helping to create a new project management model for future development.
Knowledge, experience, skills and personal attributes required

The LSO Development department is looking for a knowledgeable and self-motivated individual to join our team as Trusts & Foundations Officer at an exciting time in the LSO’s history. The role
The post holder for this role will be responsible for co-ordinating the work of the Oldham Poverty Action Network and leading on bringing the Network members together, leading on the co-ordination of the key projects and programmes that tackle the root causes of Poverty in Oldham, ensuring that local people, community organisations and institutions can collaborate through the Network to achieve the Network’s shared vision. Starfish is a mentoring programme designed to work with children and young people in schools, aged 9-16 years. Working within a school’s student wellbeing support, Starfish provides committed and trusted adults (mentors) to work with children and young people who need Early Help without which they would be at risk of not meeting their full potential. Their identified needs may related to their health, educational or social development.
Key Responsibilities:
- To provide day-to-day mentoring, co-ordination, and development of the Starfish programme with local primary and secondary schools.
- To ensure Starfish operates efficiently to meet the aims of the programme to help support children and young people to reach their potential guided by a Trauma Informed Practice approach.
- Co-ordinate referrals to the programme, ensuring the receipt of all relevant information and match children and young people with mentors.
- Recruit and support volunteer Starfish mentors from local Salvation Army corps and other churches in line with Salvation Army volunteer and Safe & Sound guidelines
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
- A qualification in children’s or youth work and/or good experience of working with children and youth aged 9-16 in education and or in the wider community. Applicants with transferable / relevant skills will also be considered.
- Knowledge of issues affecting young people (e.g. education, poverty, mental health)
- Excellent people skills and experienced in working with children and young people (individuals and groups) with the ability to create and run creative and age-appropriate positive mentoring activities.
- Must have the credibility and skills to represent The Salvation Army appropriately and professionally in a variety of settings and able to develop and harness external partnership opportunities and relationships.
This role has an occupational requirement to be a practising and committed Christian, actively involved with your own Church.

The CEC will build connections and trust with the local population such as faith communities, communities of interest, communities of place as well as organisations and groups that support individuals who experience multiple disadvantages and/or inequality, for example, people who are homeless, refugees or from LGBTQIA communities. The CEC will identify the needs of local people and barriers to them accessing palliative and end of life care and increase the diversity of community participation in Sue Ryder to help shape services that better meet individuals’ needs. The CEC will be embedded within the local community to bring the voice of those people into Sue Ryder and to help connect service users with people and organisations that can provide them with the right support in ways that meets their needs.
The Community Engagement Coordinator will work as part of the Wellbeing and Community Support Service, which is responsible for helping us to provide more of the support that people need, in more accessible ways, to more communities. The CEC will do this by:
- Engaging communities through a variety of community engagement, involvement, and empowerment techniques.
- Raising awareness of Sue Ryder and the services offered by Sue Ryder in the local population so they can make informed choices.
- Working collaboratively with local faith and community leaders, local organisations and other local groups and individuals to help shape palliative care and bereavement support services to better support the diverse needs of service users and those close to them.
About you:
To be successful in your application for the post of Community Engagement Coordinator, you must be able to demonstrate an ability to engage with diverse communities and have an understanding of health inequalities and barriers to people accessing health and social care. You must also have the ability to proactively promote equity, diversity and inclusion. Knowledge of the local area, including community and faith groups and local services and resources, would be advantageous.
You must be a car driver with access to a vehicle for work.

About the role
Our Workplace Wellbeing Team has grown considerably in the past few years, and we take pride in delivering great training and raising awareness about mental health and wellbeing in the workplace. This role will play an important part in supporting that growth by maintaining and building on existing customer relationships and forming new ones, and working towards targets to generate an income for our services.
