About the Role

The CEO will provide leadership to Embracing Age and to be responsible for the management and administration of the charity, in partnership with and reporting to the trustees. You'll lead, inspire and motivate staff and volunteers, whilst upholding and developing the Christian ethos, vision, mission and values of Embracing Age, along with the strategic objectives and priorities.

We are seeking a highly experienced Trusts and Foundations fundraising consultant to spearhead the Trusts programme at Dreams Come True. As an excellent communicator, influencer, and relationship builder, you will have a proven track record of successful fundraising in this area: ideally securing between 6 and 7-figure gifts.
The successful individual must clearly understand what is meant by a strong brand / charity proposition and have clear evidence of creating and delivering compelling cases for support, with strong examples of this resulting in successful grants to the value of £50-£100k.

The Inclusion Officer will be responsible for the management, coordination, and delivery of the Trust’s social inclusion programmes across Northamptonshire, this includes the Premier League Kicks programme and anti-crime initiatives. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Executive Producer, with strong climate credentials, to lead our small, dedicated production team. As the Executive Producer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the editorial direction in close collaboration with the hosts; oversee the production process end-to-end, including acting as Producer on episodes; and ensure the podcast maintains its high standards of quality and impact. Working closely with the hosts, content creators, and other stakeholders, you will drive the strategic vision of the podcast and spearhead efforts to grow its audience and influence.

Given the size of the team, this is a hands-on role, combining storytelling and editorial excellence, alongside strong climate knowledge and a commitment to driving action and impact.

As part of the Trusts and Institutional funding team of four you’ll work alongside the Head of Trusts and Institutional, Trusts Manager, Trusts Executive and the new Trusts and Institutional Funding Executive. The main task of the Institutional Funding Lead is to secure funding from UK-based institutional donors, with a primary focus on the FCDO.

You will drive forward dynamic and proactive engagement strategies directly with UK-based institutional donors and indirectly through consortia, as well as developing and supporting organisational positioning for contracts and grants.

This role will introduce innovative and agile funding approaches and models to enhance War Child UK’s competitiveness in a complex donor environment. You’ll achieve this by working closely with the War Child Alliance Foundation to research and analyse opportunities, enhance and support donor engagement plans, and drive forward engagement opportunities to maximise and secure funding.

• Develop and strengthen a network of contacts with relevant representatives from UK institutional donors and partners, primarily FCDO, institutional foundations and INGOs, to enable consortia to develop and grow.

The Head of Scotland and Northern Ireland is responsible for leading our vision to end the need for food banks in Scotland and Northern Ireland. Scotland currently leads the way in having a rights-based, progressive agenda to ending the need for food banks, but there is much to do to ensure political intentions become a reality. This role directs Trussell Trust’s policy and public affairs work in Scotland and Northern Ireland, leads our Scotland and Northern Ireland department as they support our network of food banks and works strategically with key partners to tackle the underlying reasons why people need to come to food banks.

• Lead the delivery of the Trussell Trust strategy for ending the need for food banks in Scotland and Northern Ireland, working to embed the Changing Communities, Changing Minds and Changing Policy programmes across the network, including through providing strategic support for the effective delivery of the Pathfinder, FI and organising programmes in Scotland and Northern Ireland.

Key Responsibilities

Recruitment & Retention

• Administer the recruitment process by placing job adverts into the template on Canva, removing expired job adverts from the THET website; downloading applications; setting up interviews

Job Responsibilities

Trust and foundations

• Update the trusts and foundations database and managing the pipeline of activity
• Prepare tailored applications to trusts and foundations
• Manage reporting deadlines to funders
• Work closely with the artistic teams and Executive Director to shape proposals
• Create budgets working with the Executive Director, Finance Director, Artistic Directors and Project Leads 

Individual and Corporate Giving

• Create individual giving schemes, exploring the potential for new initiatives such as membership and legacy programmes
• Cultivate relationships with potential individuals and steward donors
• Research potential corporate supporters – both corporate social responsibility (CSR) and sponsorship
• Pitch to potential donors and supporters

Event Planning

• Create a programme of cultivation events which could:

- thank and nurture existing donors

- act as a precursor to giving

- introduce individuals and companies to potential campaigns

- begin new relationship development

Good practice, such as ethical fundraising

• Development of an ethical fundraising statement, in partnership with Executive and Board
• Ensure compliance with fundraising regulations
• Supporting team in being part of a fundraising culture

General

• Day to day management of fundraising budget, creating and monitoring income targets and delivering compelling company messaging around charitable giving on and offline. 

Ideal candidates will have skills and experience as shown in the candidate pack including:

• Evidence of alignment with charity’s vision, mission, values and commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion.
• Lived experience of disabling or marginalising barriers.
• Understanding and experience of performing arts landscape, key figures, organisations and funders.
• A curious, inclusive, flexible and collaborative working style with proven ability to work as part of a team across all levels.​.
• Clear communicator, team player, tolerant of other views.
• Fundraising track record, delivering against targets (in a similar sized arts or not-for-profit) and of securing significant donations at the five-figure level or more.
• Experience of monitoring and reporting against targets and managing budgets.
• Adept at supporting and structuring negotiations and at building relationships with stakeholders including Arts Council England.
• Thorough knowledge of the relevant fundraising legislation, regulations and financial issues and fundraising obligations of arts charities/Arts Council National Portfolio Organisations.
• Strong literacy, administrative, time management and organisational skills.
• Proactive approach to continuing professional development.
• Experience of dealing with public sector organisations at a senior level.
• Membership of relevant educational and/or professional bodies.

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer and working closely with the Chief Executive, the post-holder will lead on all aspects of development, marketing and fundraising, and people/HR development; maintaining high level relationships with donors and prospective donors and maximising opportunities to secure new sources of income from individuals, companies and charitable trusts, as well as improving our internal comms.

The Role

You will be an exemplary relationship builder and have experience in developing multi-faceted corporate partnerships. With experience of applying to corporates, trusts, and foundations to secure 6+ figure donations over multiple years, you will be comfortable developing a strong pipeline of new business to meet income targets.
