You’ll work with donors and academics at the highest level, part of an energising community of education and research. One of these roles will work across the range of non-clinical science departments at the university and the other will have a portfolio focussed on the Department of Physics.
In these roles you will:
- Play a crucial role in ensuring that philanthropic income against the core priorities of the MPLS Division rises in a steady and sustainable manner year on year.
- Implement solicitation strategies to secure major gift support from individuals, corporates partners and trusts and foundations, often working jointly with a senior academic.
- Identify prospective donors with whom the University will aim to develop significant philanthropic relationships and build a robust prospect pipeline.
- Be able to understand academically complex projects and explain and promote them to potential, non-specialist donors.
Skills that are required to apply for these roles:
- Experience in a complex organisation and direct involvement in securing major gifts or corporate partnerships.
- An ability to think both strategically and tactically about the relations between potential donors and fundraising goals.
- An ability to provide specialist expertise in the area of major gift philanthropy, and to develop a long-term strategy for the solicitation of principal gifts.
- A passion for science and technology, although that could be curiosity and interest, rather than any specific working experience.

About the role:
As Trust Fundraiser, you'll be primarily focussed on raising funds through trusts and foundations to help Chuf deliver their ambitious 2024-27 fundraising strategy. The Role
You will be instrumental in securing the funding, which the organisation needs to continue to deliver and develop its services, across a wide range of functions and projects. Full Fact is a team of independent fact checkers and campaigners who find, expose and counter the harm it does – a team which has seen firsthand how bad information promotes hate, damages people’s health and hurts democracy. Full Fact fights for the right information to reach the people who need it most, whether that’s individuals making decisions about their health or who to vote for; or politicians debating the future of our country.
This role will manage, develop and grow the charity’s portfolio of trusts and foundation donors, as well as leading and delivering Full Fact’s trust fundraising strategy, identifying and building relationships with new prospects who have the capacity to support at 5/6-figure level. The Autism Centre of Excellence exists to improve access to high quality support and remove barriers and stigma for autistic people, but to do this we need to grow our funding.
We aim to raise £5 million over the next five years to increase our reach, impact and activities, whilst creating a sustainable and predictable income stream for the charity. Main duties and Responsibilities

THE CANDIDATE

While prior experience in events, charity, or fundraising is beneficial, what matters most is your genuine passion for charity and working with your team to achieve the shared goals of our organisation.
This role will require occasional work outside of standard office hours, including evenings and weekends.

THE ROLE
As the Corporate Fundraiser at Zoe’s Place Liverpool, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our mission by contributing to the delivery of our overall income generation strategy.
Your primary responsibilities will include researching and cultivating relationships with corporate supporters to drive sustainable income growth. Collaborating closely with the Senior Corporate Fundraiser, you will ensure that potential corporate partners share our mission and values, while providing ongoing communication and stewardship.
This is an exciting time to join our team as we embark on a Capital Appeal for a new, state-of-the-art Liverpool Hospice. You will be part of a dynamic environment full of enthusiasm and passion, both within our staff and the local community, as we work together to achieve our goals.
This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, allowing you to work remotely up to two days per week, with the remainder of your time spent at our Liverpool-based hospice in West Derby.

Zoe’s Place provides respite, palliative and end of life care to babies and children from birth to five years old with life limiting or life-threatening illnesses, with our team of specialist nurses offering round-the-clock care and support. The Trusts and Foundations Manager will further develop and review their current trusts and foundations strategy, with a focus on growing and renewing five- and six-figure income from Trusts, Foundations and grant making bodies. This is an ideal role for an experienced and collaborative Trust fundraiser, capable of developing long-lasting relationships and build compelling cases for support that secure transformational donations for an iconic institution.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience of writing successful and compelling proposals and applications to Trusts and Foundations and securing multi year funding. You will also have demonstrable experience of working across an organisation to develop fundraising bids and reports.
