The Operations Manager is an internally focused role that ensures the advertised service is delivered. An international charity supporting children and young people globally is currently seeking a Director of Finance
Managing the day to day finance operations, you will work to support the wider charity in improving financial and management reporting and analysis. Partnering with the budget holders and the senior management team, you will prepare reports and advise on financial information and data to help inform operational and strategic financial decisions. Duties will include, but may not be limited to the following:
- Oversight and management of the finance team
- Preparation and presentation of monthly reports including budgets, income and expenditure analysis and variance analysis (particularly for SMT and Trustee members).
- Developing the charity's investment policies and advising on areas of risk
- Hands-on finance support where necessary to cover any staff absences when applicable

For a small but vital refugee charity, we are recruiting an Interim Head of Finance for 3 + months, starting ASAP. Reporting to the CEO, the main accountabilities will focus on providing insightful monthly management accounts and reporting to the Senior Leadership Team and Trustees / Board, and to ensure the correct allocation of expenditure to a high number of grant funds. Main Duties:
- Produce regular management accounts and financial reporting

- Lead and review budgeting, reforecasting and cashflow management

The Role:
The Chief Officer will lead and manage Citizens Advice St Helens (CASH) while developing and implementing strategic and operational plans. Responsible for delivering strategic development through the effective management and development of services, the Chief Officer will build strong and sustainable relationships with key stakeholders at a strategic, national, regional, and local level.
They will work collaboratively with the staff team and board to ensure there is an inclusive, rights-based approach to work that also conforms with the requirements of the Charity Commission, Companies House and HMRC. To be considered for the Chief Officer role at CASH, you must be a proven leader and manager with experience working within a senior management team. This role will require someone with a demonstrable track record of innovation and success in business development and income generation, able to engage funding bodies and donors, as well as creating strong and successful content for winning contracts/grants. About the role

About you

You should be able to write with flair to develop compelling applications and reports and speak passionately and articulately about BookTrust's work to the staff and trustees of trusts and foundations.
The ideal candidate will be efficient, have a strong eye for detail, and have good time management skills. You should be able to work independently and as part of a team with common goals and have natural 'Fundraiser Detective Instincts' to spot funding opportunities and go above and beyond with stewardship.
Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to delivering work of the highest standard are crucial. Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously, will be necessary for success in this role.
