The Neuro Therapy Centre is a member led charity which provides practical support and therapies to help manage the symptoms of a wide range of long-term degenerative neurological conditions including MS, Parkinson’s, FND and ME. The Centre supports 700 people across North Wales, Cheshire and the Wirral.

The Centre has expanded its facilities over the last two years to be able to support more people who can benefit from its services and we have lots of exciting plans to grow our services and use our facilities. You’ll be a confident writer with the ability to collate and portray the impact of our services and projects whilst still being able to meet the varied criteria of funding applications. You’ll have a keen eye for detail, and be on the pulse looking for opportunities to apply for funding, whilst building and maintaining funding relationships for the Centre.

Our friendly team is based in Saltney, near Chester where our services and support also operates from – so you’ll get to see first-hand how your role makes a difference to people’s lives first-hand. Many of our fundraising and marketing team work in a hybrid model and we are open to applications from people who wish to work in this way or fully remotely with occasional visits to the Centre on an in-frequent basis to learn about the charity and for funder visits.

Key areas of responsibility include:

• Research and identify potential funding sources for applications including charitable foundations, lottery bids, and statutory organisations.
• Liaise with the Centre management team to highlight funding opportunities and collect facts and information to form Cases for Support.
• Write fundraising bids to support projects and service delivery.
• Maintain communication with our network of funders
• Manage and maintain a funding pipeline of prospective funders, applications submitted, and feedback/monitoring requests.

This role will be responsible for securing funding from charitable trusts and foundations, identifying new funders, preparing funding applications and managing the growth of a strategic portfolio of corporate partnerships. The role will also provide support on data entry, reporting on our CRM system and wider support to the fundraising team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement strategies to maximise trust and foundation income for client charities.
• Conduct detailed prospect research and maintain accurate records of funding opportunities.
• Prepare compelling grant applications and assist with funder reports and monitoring requirements.
• Support the organisation of events and attend external meetings with trust and foundation representatives as needed.
• Contribute to team capacity by providing expertise and additional support to colleagues.
• Maintain accurate client and fundraising data in line with GDPR and data protection legislation.

Person Specification:

• Proven experience (minimum three years) in trust and foundation fundraising, ideally within small/medium charities.
• Track record of securing grants of £300,000+ annually.
• Ability to build and manage relationships with key funders and stakeholders.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail.
• Skilled in research, data management, and analytical tasks.
• Capacity to interpret complex financial and grant information.
• Organised with good time management and the ability to work independently under deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and clients.

Duties and responsibilities

• Research new opportunities for Action Tutoring to explore for fundraising and carry out initial enquiries to determine suitability to apply to trusts and foundations. 
• Prepare and submit grant applications to suitable trusts, foundations and corporates, carrying out careful research to ensure the applications are as strong as possible and include relevant data and case studies.
• Work alongside the Corporate Partnerships Team to encourage corporate support through donations or grants.
• Identify and lead on local fundraising opportunities in Action Tutoring’s nine key regions, for example researching and submitting applications for local grants and to local businesses.
• Research and determine suitability of profile raising opportunities or awards for Action Tutoring to apply to, such as corporate Charity of the Year opportunities, the Third Sector Awards and Charity Awards.

Shieldfield Art Works (SAW) is a project of the Methodist Church in Newcastle upon Tyne which is seeking the wellbeing of the city through creative practice. We are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic individual to build up Shieldfield Art Work’s fundraising programme and contribute to our strategy. This is a vital part of our work as we seek to become more sustainable and resilient in an ever challenging climate. 

Our ideal candidate will have good experience in developing and implementing a robust fundraising strategy in order to take the strategic fundraising work of our community arts hub into a new chapter. You will also be able to articulate your active Christian faith, be able to explain SAW's Christian ministry and show ability to be able to write for both Christian and secular funders with different priorties.

You will need to be self-motivated and confident in your expertise. The role is suitable for candidates who are experienced in larger and multi-year applications to trusts and foundations (ideally in the cultural sector), developing individual giving campaigns and CSR channels, cultivating donor relationships and a good storyteller, to tell the story of and champion SAW. You must be motivated particularly by the social impact and outreach work that we deliver.

Shieldfield Art Works (SAW) is a project of the Methodist Church in Newcastle upon Tyne which is seeking the good of the city through creative practice. We are a team of artists who support others to be creative, and use our creativity to support others. We believe that the arts help us to articulate what it is to be human and that arts participation enables joy and flourishing in unique and unexpected ways. We are blessed with a gallery, workshop room and garden on our site in Shieldfield and so try to organise ways for these assets to be a blessing to our local community.

Reporting to, and working closely with, the Head of Fundraising and Engagement, the Senior Philanthropy and Partnerships Lead will shape and implement innovative strategies, driving growth in philanthropic giving, secure corporate partnerships and obtain critical funding. With a focus on cultivating mutually beneficial, long-term relationships, you’ll craft compelling proposals, develop tailored stewardship plans, and create sponsorship opportunities that inspire ongoing support.

You’ll lead the way in securing multi-year corporate partnerships and nurturing donor relationships to meet ambitious income targets. Who are we looking for?

To support our vision and ensure the achievement of ambitious income targets to support children and families affected by neuroblastoma, we are looking for a strategic and results-driven high-value fundraiser to join our team.

We are particularly keen to speak with interested candidates who enjoy cultivating high-value relationships from scratch and stewarding five- and six-figure corporate partnerships, and/or major donor relationships.

• Demonstrable significant experience working in corporate fundraising (experience in major donor and trusts & foundations fundraising would also be of benefit).
