We are looking for a Trust Fundraiser for a well known national health charity, to work in a supportive team of five and secure income from medium-sized grant-giving charitable trusts and foundations.

This is a hybrid role with at least one day a week in the London office.

The Role
Support the Head Of Trust, Senior Trusts Officer and Executive to deliver c£1m team income target.

Provide first class stewardship to a portfolio of mid value donors, seeking to retain them as well as uplift their donations, wherever possible. Current warm pipeline sits c£150k.

Research new trust supporters, build a warm pipeline and submit well written trust proposals to funders for applications c £10-30k value. Targeted income for this role is c£100k.

Work with the case for support lead to support service information requests from fundraising teams and translate them into project briefs and compelling case for support materials.

Maintain accurate, up to date and comprehensive records of trusts on the fundraising database or CRM system (currently Raisers Edge).

The Candidate
Experience of securing gifts of over 10k from trusts.

Experience of maintaining relationships with funders and providing tailored donor care and stewardship plans.

Experience of project-based fundraising and the development of restricted and unrestricted propositions within a fundraising team.

Experience of developing pipelines of trust income and activity.

The Role

The person 

The role will suit someone who has had some prior experience in successfully raising funds ideally from trusts and foundations and/or from community fundraising. You are IT savvy and know how to use social media to grow an audience and design materials to effectively communicate a good cause. You are open to learning and to sharing your creativity and skills with others. 

Essential skills 

You will have:-

• 18-24 months of prior fundraising experience 

• Experience of successfully prospecting for, preparing and managing fundraising bids and stewarding funder/commissioner relationship

Sensory Services by Sight for Surrey has been established for over 100 years and is the major provider of services for people who are Deaf, hard of hearing, blind, partially sighted, and deafblind in Surrey.

We are looking to recruit a dynamic and creative Corporate and Community Fundraiser to lead on the development and growth of income through businesses and local communities across Surrey. Through your wealth of fundraising experience, you will research and identify new partnership opportunities as well as manage existing relationships, to drive unrestricted income for the charity.

The post holder must have a minimum of three years fundraising experience and use their initiative, personal presence and drive to support all fundraising activity to achieve a substantial increase in unrestricted income.

Work Context:

The post holder will be highly motivated and organised to research, identify and build new and existing relationships with local businesses and community organisations in order to increase unrestricted income and engagement for the charity.

Introduction

The Prison Reform Trust (PRT) was founded in 1981 to inform public debate and improve prison conditions and the treatment of prisoners, amidst concerns about a projected prison population of 48,000 by 1984. Fast forward to today, the prison population in England and Wales is almost 87,000 and is projected to rise to 106,300 by March 2027. We overuse prison for non-violent and persistent crime, and we choose to send people to prison for a long time, and it continues to grow.

Our mission is clear. We are working to create a just, humane and effective prison system by influencing decision-makers opinion formers and the public to 1) reduce the use of prison; 2) Improve conditions for prisoners and, 3) promote equality and human rights in the criminal justice system.

Income in 2023 was £2.06 million, with most of our income portfolio reliant on trusts and foundations. We have just been through a strategic development period and as a part of that we have uncovered significant untapped potential for philanthropic and relational based income growth. We are now seeking a newly designed, ‘Head of Fundraising and Philanthropy’ to lead the whole fundraising programme, but with a specific focus on developing the philanthropy and corporate programme to take Prison Reform Trust to the next level.

You will be a seasoned relational fundraiser, have entrepreneurial flair, be creative and have the ability to influence at the highest of levels. Overall aim

We are now looking for a dedicated fundraiser who will help us build on our relationship based fundraising activity to grow our income. The Head of Philanthropy is a new role reporting to the Chief Executive.

Education should be the means to break the link between demographics and destiny. Yet every week 109 children in England – equivalent to three full classrooms – are asked to leave their schools and never come back, with disastrous personal and societal consequences. The Difference, a young education charity, was founded to change the story on this lost learning. It exists to build the status and expertise of teachers working with vulnerable children, particularly those who are excluded from mainstream schools.

By 2030, The Difference want rates of exclusion and absence to be falling nationally and for schools to be better equipped to support all children, including those who may be vulnerable.

The organisation was born out of a year of research into school exclusions with think-tank IPPR. This research identified a lack of inclusion expertise in schools and proposed a new leadership development programme to fill this gap. In 2018, The Difference founder Kiran hired the team who took this idea from concept to reality, beginning work with our first schools.

The Difference is now a 22-strong team delivering multiple school leadership programmes, alongside a growing research and policy arm. The team is supported by our Youth Advisory Board, made up of young people who have experienced exclusion and who provide their expertise and insights on how school inclusion work should be done. This work is needed more than ever. Effects of COVID-19, coupled with the spiralling cost of living, have substantially increased levels of vulnerability. Schools serving excluded pupils face under-funding. The Difference has had excellent early impact but there is work ahead to capture this, share learning with schools and policy-makers, and grow our capacity to lower exclusions across England.

Our first permanent Head of Fundraising will drive the growth and sustainability of our fundraising function. Room to Heal is a human rights charity and therapeutic community based in London. Our mission is to support people who have survived or witnessed torture and organised violence to rebuild their lives in exile, through an integrated programme of therapeutic and casework assistance. About the role

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Fundraising Manager to join our team and lead our fundraising efforts. This is a key role in ensuring we have the resources to continue providing vital support to survivors of torture and human rights violations. As the Fundraising Manager, you will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing a comprehensive fundraising strategy, building relationships with key donors, and exceeding fundraising goals. We are looking for a Major Gift Development Manager with experience in building relationships with high-net-worth individuals to join our passionate and ambitious team to raise funds for our work in Scotland. About this job:

As Major Gift Development Manager, you’ll:

• Manage a portfolio of existing major donors and prospects and ensure a first-class cultivation and stewardship journey with Dogs Trust to secure five and six figure gifts.
• Attend meetings with existing and new donors, developing bespoke, personalised written communications and proposals that fit with Dogs Trust’s brand.
• Manage and develop relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, such as other teams across Dogs Trust and VIPs.
• Support the Regional Major Gifts Team Manager in delivering the major donor elements of the fundraising strategy.

About You:

With a proven track record of personally securing major gifts from individuals and a strong understanding of philanthropy fundraising, you will be an excellent communicator capable of engaging with different audiences. Confident and credible, you will have the ability to form strong relationships with existing donors and the tenacity to build networks to find new supporters who can support our work with major gifts. You will have attention to detail and the ability to research and match criteria from donors to Dogs Trust activities and events. Driving license is also required.

The role: Fundraising Manager

We are seeking a Fundraising Manager with a passion for our mission, who will build positive relationships to secure significant income, working together to harness the power of adventure to create lasting change and transform communities for all.

This is a new role, leading our small but growing Fundraising Team, and having a real input into our plans and strategies for the future. Reporting to the Head of Business Development, the successful candidate will oversee all fundraising income generation activity and lead on our Major Donor Giving Programme. A typical week could involve meeting with prospective donors, developing a case for support for a new stream of work, supporting team members to develop their own fundraising skills, and working with other departments to raise awareness of Bendrigg’s work.

This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned fundraiser to join and lead a forward-thinking and inclusive team and develop Bendrigg’s fundraising to support our new Strategic Plan. This opportunity is open to those wishing to work remotely (there would be an expectation to attend the office for a minimum of 2 weeks during the induction process, and thereafter at least 3 days per month throughout the year), looking for a hybrid working pattern or wanting to be fully office-based. The role is full time, however part-time on a minimum of 0.8FTE would be considered for the ideal candidate.

ROLE DETAILS 

Standing Voice is looking for an experienced Fundraising Manager based in or near London to join our UK team. This is an exciting and challenging role in a creative and focused working environment, within an organisation with multiple programmes and funding streams across 3 countries. This position suits an ambitious and experienced fundraiser, equipped with excellent written and oral communication skills and a depth of donor management experience. 

The successful candidate will report to the Executive Director and be tasked with advancing & implementing Standing Voice’s Fundraising Strategy including writing grants proposals; diversifying & scaling-up the organisation’s income streams; and managing donor relations and reporting. As well as working alongside UK fundraising, programmes and finance colleagues, the Fundraising Manager will work directly with our teams in Tanzania and Malawi to design and generate project proposals. 

Suitable candidates will demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills; a high level of organisation and accuracy in their work; and concrete experience of generating income through trusts and foundations, corporate partnerships, institutional donors, philanthropy partnerships, and individual giving. RESPONSIBILITIES

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop SV’s Fundraising Strategy

• Identify, research and implement innovative funding methods to diversify and strengthen SV’s income base

• Secure funding from a diverse portfolio of new and existing donors, including: trusts and foundations; corporate partnerships; institutional donors; philanthropy partnerships; and individual giving

• Host meetings with philanthropists and foundation directors to generate interest in SV’s work and secure support 

• Manage SV’s grant research to maintain a database of viable funding opportunities for the organisation

• Lead the development and writing of concept notes, proposals, presentations and pitches to prospective donors

• Draft funder reports in collaboration programmes and finance teams, and manage report submissions in line with funder agreements

• Work effectively with the Head of Programmes and Partnerships and Finance Manager to collate project information, in order to enhance funding applications and reports

• Manage SV’s donor management tools

• Build relationships with our donors to foster long-term partnerships

• Identify and execute funding campaigns, including our annual Big Give Christmas match funding challenge

• Track and monitor fundraising progress, trends, and insights, and provide reports to executive management and the Board of Trustees

• Recruit new staff and volunteers to the fundraising team in line with available budget

• Delegate effectively to fundraising team members, ensuring tasks are clearly defined, properly supported and well monitored 

• Remain abreast of current trends in fundraising and donor interests

• Adhere to the Code of Fundraising Practice and all internal policies at SV

• Undertake any other reasonable duties at the request of the line manager

Salary: £46,800 - this is based on current resource and trustees are open to salary increases as funding becomes available.
