Key Responsibilities:

Corporate Partnerships & Relationship Management:

• Build, manage, and steward relationships with corporate supporters, focusing on the healthcare, legal, insurance, and life sciences sectors.
• Develop and implement AvMA’s corporate partnerships offer, including sponsorship packages and bespoke opportunities.
• Identify and research new corporate prospects, working with colleagues to make approaches and secure partnerships.
• Lead the ongoing development of AvMA’s corporate fundraising strategy and toolkit, ensuring they reflect best practice and meet organisational needs.

Workplace Giving & Employee Engagement:

• Support and promote employee fundraising initiatives, matched giving, payroll giving, and workplace events.
• Provide companies and staff teams with engaging fundraising materials, advice, and digital resources.
• Develop case studies and impact content to showcase corporate and employee fundraising.

Digital Fundraising & Content Development:

• Create and maintain engaging digital content for the corporate fundraising section of AvMA’s new website.
• Use online platforms and digital channels to promote corporate giving opportunities and events.
• Work with our communications team to integrate corporate messaging into wider campaigns.

Data & Reporting

• Maintain accurate records of all corporate activity and income using Microsoft Dynamics CRM.
• Monitor, analyse, and report on performance against targets.
• Use data insights to improve supporter journeys and maximise income

General

• Attend in-person meetings and events as required (travel expenses covered).
• Contribute to AvMA’s wider fundraising strategy and cross-team projects.
• Undertake other reasonable duties as required.

Background and purpose

We are the only UK-wide charity for everyone affected by a genetic and acquired bleeding disorder. 

At the Haemophilia Society (THS) we want to empower everyone affected by a bleeding disorder to live life to the full, whatever your stage in life.

One in 2,000 men, women and children in the UK have a diagnosed bleeding disorder, which are a group of conditions, including haemophilia and von Willebrand disorder, that result when the blood cannot clot properly. 

As many as a third of bleeding disorder diagnoses have no known family history and can be the result of a random gene mutation. This means a bleeding disorder diagnosis can come completely out of the blue.

THS brings together people with bleeding disorders and their families to share experiences and understand more about how to live well with a bleeding disorder. Together, we can all make a difference.

About the role

We’re incredibly lucky to have a generous and dedicated community who are always looking for new ways to support our work. We are looking for a passionate fundraiser who can take ownership of our community fundraising and empower our members and supporters in their fundraising ventures. You’ll act as the face of THS for people looking to raise money in a variety of wonderful ways – ensuring they have what they need to be as successful as possible. This will include managing a number of key events such as the London Marathon, Ride London and Swim Serpentine. 

This role would be ideal for someone with 2-3 years’ experience and looking to take the next step in their fundraising career. As part of a small team, you’ll be excited about getting involved in all areas of community and events fundraising, building relationships with our members and driving our fundraising strategy forward. 

The purpose of the role is to:

Community Fundraising

·Supporting and running the community fundraising activities - engaging our centres, signing up new members, stewarding our donors, being the key point of our enquiries

·Organisation and delivery of mass participation events

·Providing guidance and supporting participants in promoting their efforts on social media

·Spotting opportunities for business development with organisations

• Provide guidance and support for supporters undertaking community fundraising and act as a key first point of call. Developing and improving the supporter journey with new materials.
• Organise and project manage events and fundraising campaigns. Add new fundraising campaigns and events to the calendar.
• Develop key materials needed to promote events and fundraising campaigns. Source case studies we can use to promote events, as well as the charity and use them in publications and socials.
• Keeping up-to-date records and giving timely recognition of donations using our CRM system
• Creating fundraising communications to encourage greater participation, working with our Communications Officer and liaising with members and volunteers. 
• Working to strict deadlines to ensure that fundraising activity is widely promoted and the success of fundraisers is celebrated to encourage greater take-up of fundraising activities. 
• Representing the charity at events hosted by community and corporate supporters. Representing the charity at services events promoting fundraising.
• Showcasing the work of the organisation and speaking confidently at events about our work to connect fundraisers to our cause and encourage fundraising.
• Developing engaging national fundraising campaigns.
• Thinking creatively, developing action plans and budgets to support national campaigns like World Haemophilia Day and TalkingRed. You will be able to understand the diverse needs and abilities of our community and create accessible fundraising initiatives that work for a geographically dispersed supporter base.
• Understanding and maintaining relationships with external suppliers for fundraising e.g. Great North Run, Just Giving, London Marathon etc. to ensure that we are abreast of any new trends and developments, or promotional opportunities.

Reporting to the Prospect Research Manager, you will identify and qualify new prospects across Philanthropy, Trusts & Grants, and Corporate Partnerships. You will be critical in strategically driving our growth, improving practices and increasing efficiency, through guiding and supporting colleagues across the fundraising department. The postholder will develop and lead fundraising and partnerships, raising crucial funds to support MumsAid’s growth. We are looking for an experienced, versatile fundraiser who can hit the ground running, bring a holistic approach and work with a range of donors and funders to help MumsAid develop a sustainable income pipeline. 

This role has strategic accountability for fundraising and managing funder relationships. You will lead our competitive tendering and grant application work, and develop our corporate partnerships.

This is a part-time post, flexible on location, although some travel within the UK may be required. The role will provide support at fundraising events, requiring some occasional evening and weekend commitments (for which time in lieu will be granted).

Main Duties 

Leadership and Management: 

· Work alongside the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and Board (particularly the Fundraising and Marketing Subgroup) to proactively identify potential sources of funding and realise opportunities for growth. 

· Devise and develop appropriate strategies, produce and deliver strong proposals and pitches. 

· Provide knowledge of current fundraising practice and develop a consistent working strategy that is sustainable.

· Assist in informing long-term financial/business planning and clarifying priorities. 

· Support the SLT and Board in developing a comprehensive framework for reporting on the charity’s impact, including to funders. 

Oversee and support monitoring submissions.

Fundraising:

· Develop, implement and evaluate a fundraising strategy in line with MumsAid’s priorities, to include key areas of focus – fundraising from trusts and foundations, statutory fundraising, corporate fundraising, to secure c. £500k over the next 2 years.

· Research, formulate and write applications, bids and tenders, including to statutory funders and trusts and foundations, coordinating with other team members for input as necessary.

· Build strong relationships with existing and potential funders, partners and stakeholders.

· Write reports for funders to meet deadlines and submit further applications for existing funders where appropriate.

· Work with the SLT and Board to develop and maintain strong relationships with commissioners, funders, partners and corporate organisations to ensure good communication about organisational/project progress, address any issues that arise, and identify new income streams. 

Organisational and General Duties: 

· Maximise fundraising efficiency by using and developing our CRM to ensure there is a clear process for recording and managing fundraising activity. 

· Contribute to the financial planning, budgeting and management accounts process. 

· Contribute to the development of MumsAid’s understanding and communication of our Return on Investment (ROI).

· Report regularly on KPIs, monitoring and evaluating against social impact and ROI. 

· Develop and manage a reporting schedule for the Board and funders to ensure monitoring and reporting is in done in an effective manner in line with organisational priorities, tracking restricted and unrestricted income, project development and targets. 

· Maintain awareness of fundraising and charity law and ensure that activity adheres to relevant legislation and guidance. 

Communications and Marketing: 

Liaise with colleagues to help shape and implement our marketing and communications plan, ensuring our reputation is upheld and our knowledge is shared through positive, consistent and accurate communications and messaging.

Promote and support equality, diversity and inclusion, e.g., ensuring that the views and voices of MumsAid’s service users are considered in all aspects of fundraising initiatives, including in the discussions of need and impact.

· Demonstrably outstanding written communication skills with the ability to write compelling copy, tailored to a range of audiences and platforms. 

· Proven track record of building positive relationships with funders, partners, volunteers, and supporters; you may already have a network of relationships this role could benefit from.

· Articulate speaker, able to present and repackage complex information in succinct and digestible format.

· Microsoft Office proficient, Proficient with Word, Excel and able to put together PowerPoint presentations.

We are looking for a warm, flexible and highly motivated fundraiser to work across all areas of our fundraising, from securing income from trusts and foundations and corporate partners to staying on top of our individual giving. 

You’ll benefit from regular mentoring sessions with an external fundraising consultant and be able to foster close relationships with our board of trustees and other key stakeholders. 

BYO has a very small core team, which you’ll be part of, and a large number of freelancers and external staff that join for programmes, events and performances. Our registered office is at the London Coliseum but day-to-day, when our big
programmes aren’t running, we work remotely.
