The Senior Fundraiser for Trusts and Foundations will be our lead fundraiser, drawing in support and expertise from across the team. They will take ownership of identifying funding sources, refining a strategy, forecasting our fundraising income, and building strong relationships with donors, bringing the experiences of our group members to life in fundraising communications. They will line management a full-time fundraiser who specialises in individual giving while the Senior Fundraiser for Trusts and Foundations will lead on grant writing.
In the last 5 years, CARAS has had huge success, more than trebling our income and enabling us to expand our staff team and therefore our reach. We are a highly impactful organisation that is often looked to for our insight in the sector. We have an ambitious three-year strategy, co-produced with group members, staff, volunteers, trustees and partner organisations, that will launch in September 2025 and guide our current work.
This is an exciting role that comes with many varied commitments, expectations and timescales. We are seeking applicants who want to be at the forefront of change, striving to improve the rights, entitlements and day-to-day experiences of refugees and people seeking asylum. You will need to be able to show how your skills and experiences fit the role, as well as possessing a drive for social change in support of under-served people. Within this role, you will have scope to shape and secure the future of CARAS.
You will be supported in a variety of ways, including by an expert team of staff around you who will collaborate with you and work together as needed; a highly professional Board of Trustees who you will work with at key points throughout the year and who are available for consultation and advice as needed; robust and effective systems; and a network of organisations and funders who share CARAS’ goals. Additionally, you will have regular and detailed supervision with your line manager, and you can access our Employee Assistance Programme at any time.
This opportunity comes at a very exciting time. CARAS has been piloting a 4 day week from since the 1st of January 2025, meaning that all staff work 20% less time for 100% pay. Full time employees reduced their hours to 4 days per week. We have seen this be a huge boost to staff wellbeing and will become part of our commitment to care for staff as well as our community members.
We are also preparing for a future in which CARAS continues to grow, mature and develop, standing as a highly respected, impactful organisation with a £1million income by 2028.

The role:
The Senior Fundraiser for Trusts and Foundations is required to lead a wide range of activities. You will be expected to manage your own time, prioritising tasks and leading a small team of people who contribute to CARAS’ fundraising. You will inherit excellent systems and skilled, supportive and enthusiastic team players. You will work closely with the CEO, and the senior leadership team which draws together Heads of Service from each of our programme areas. You will collaborate with our Finance Manager to ensure smooth management of grants and donations and will play a key role in budget setting with the Finance Manager and CEO.
The role demands cross-departmental working, and regular contact with community members to enhance your ability to advocate for them. You will be at the forefront of developing new ideas and approaches, ensuring that teams have the money and resources to have an impact.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Fundraising

Line-manage our Fundraising Officer and work together to generate income to meet CARAS’s budgetary targets through trusts and foundations, individual giving, community fundraising and other means at our disposal.

Develop and deliver a fundraising strategy which synchronises with the CARAS Strategic Plan.

Research and maintain a real-time pipeline of fundraising opportunities and oversee delivery. Lead or allocate all income generation opportunities in good time so that appropriate co-design and decision-making processes are behind applications.

Maintain up-to-date records on potential and active funders in CARAS’s database.

Ensure compliance with best practice in fundraising including use of data and confidentiality.

Work collaboratively with Heads of Service and CARAS’ Finance Manager to develop, deliver and iterate systems to ensure grants are accurately and effectively managed.

Work closely with CARAS leadership to align fundraising priorities with programme plans and organisational growth.

Lead on the development of programmatic and core budgets for diverse grant funders.

Write and submit high-quality, tailored applications that articulate CARAS’s impact, values and plans.

Ensure applications are accurate, persuasive, and meet deadlines and funder requirements.

Collaborate with the team to gather supporting information, budgets, and case studies.
Reporting & Stewardship
● Maintain excellent records and monitor deadlines for reporting and renewals.

Develop CARAS’ outcomes report and donor report ensuring they are data rich and clearly demonstrate impact.

Monitoring the wealth of data CARAS collects through our frontline service to ensure we stay agile and adaptable within a changing policy context, supporting Heads of Service and other relevant stakeholders to deliver excellence.
Collaboration with Finance

Work collaboratively with the Finance Manager to ensure the rigorous financial management across all income and expenditure to ensure all grants and donations are accurately accounted for and spent.

Working collaboratively with the Finance Manager and CEO, develop the organisational annual budget and lead on income projections for the year ahead to ensure expenditure budgets are feasible and unlock multi-year growth.
Governance

Contribute to the maintenance of up-to-date policies relevant to the role.

Attend board meetings as requested to share reports with the Board on fundraising.

Work closely with the Treasurer and the Finance Committee on fundraising strategy.
Cross-Organisational Contribution

Head of Fundraising and Development
Connect: North Korea is a fast-growing charity supporting North Korean escapees to build new lives after experiences of systemic discrimination, poverty, and trauma.
Our organisational income has grown consistently year on year since we registered in 2018. We now have a series of multi-year grants in place ensuring that 42% of our income for 2026 is already secured. But we are ambitious. We want to do more for our community, so we are looking for a new, dynamic Head of Fundraising and Development to lead and deliver income generation as we scale our work in the UK and globally.
This is a rare opportunity to lead a fundraising strategy and plan across all major income streams—trusts and foundations, individual giving, corporate partnerships, and major donors. This role is an exciting mixture of leadership complemented by day-to-day delivery. Main purpose of the role:
This is a new role working within Battersea’s Income Generation department to develop and deliver the campaign plan for a £4-6million pound capital fundraising appeal.
One of the key pillars of Battersea’s current strategy is to ensure that we continue to provide expert care for all the dogs and cats that come through our gates. One of the ways in which we do this is by investing in our facilities to ensure that they continue to meet the changing needs of the animals we care for. This fundraising campaign will help to achieve that aim.
You will work with teams across Battersea to develop a comprehensive plan for the campaign and co-ordinate the work of multiple specialist teams to deliver the campaign on a day-to-day basis. You will also be responsible for developing a clear governance structure for the campaign, and ensuring all stakeholders are kept informed of progress. You will also oversee and track progress of a series of internal process improvements that support the running of the campaign.

Purpose of the Role
This is an opportunity for the right person to join the Refugee Migrant Centre (RMC) as an experienced Bid Writer. RMC is an established, award winning, regional charity, renowned for its work with refugees and migrants.
For over 25 years, RMC has assisted thousands of refugees and migrants from 164 countries. It has helped to remove the barriers to integration, helping its clients become equal citizens, using a whole-person approach to the delivery of services from specialist legal advice through to education and employment programmes.
This is an exciting time to be joining the team, as RMC are strengthening and expanding its infrastructure following a period of growth in staff, activities and turnover (from £2.7 to £4.3 million in the last few years).

The fundraising team work to a target of around £2m per year, generated from a range of channels and segments. We’re looking for two more people to grow this team as we expand our mission to reveal Jesus to the younger generations in England and Wales.
About the roles
We’re looking for two fundraisers to tackle the following areas:

Individual Giving, working to maintain and grow our portfolio of donors giving between £10pa - £1,500 pa each.

Fundraising Innovation, coming up with fresh new ideas that will generate more income for the mission that take us beyond our tried and tested fundraising activities.
Between them, the two roles account for 1.8 FTE, and we’re flexible about how that’s allocated. It could be that both roles work 4.5 days a week each, or one full time and the other four days. We’re open to suggestions as we seek the right candidates for the team.

About the role
As Director of Fundraising, you will lead and inspire our fundraising team, driving multi-million-pound income across philanthropy, individual giving, legacies, corporate partnerships, community fundraising and events. This is a newly created role with a high degree of autonomy, focused on shaping the future of fundraising at Sheffield Children’s Hospital Charity, developing compelling campaigns, and identifying new opportunities to grow support.
Working closely with your colleagues and Sheffield Children’s NHS Foundation Trust, you will help bring fundable, high-impact projects to life, engaging current supporters and inspiring new audiences. You will embed a data-driven approach across the team, ensure exceptional donor stewardship and maintain the Charity’s reputation for integrity and impact.
Beyond fundraising, you will be a key member of the Charity’s Senior Leadership Team. Reporting to the CEO, you will influence strategy, represent the Charity externally, and model collaborative, values-led leadership.

The successful candidate will bring a proven track record in developing and delivering integrated fundraising strategies that engage supporters across philanthropy, individual giving, legacies, corporate partnerships, community fundraising and events.
You will thrive on building strong, lasting relationships with high-value donors, corporate partners, and colleagues across the organisation and Trust. The successful postholder will bring a proven track record in identifying, cultivating, and securing high-value gifts, while also confidently advising and influencing CEOs, Trustees, and senior stakeholders to support strategic decisions and unlock new opportunities for the Charity.
We are seeking a confident, collaborative leader who takes personal ownership while motivating others, someone who thrives in a fast-paced, target-driven environment and can manage multiple priorities with clarity and focus. Your drive, vision and understanding of the charity landscape will help identify opportunities that make a real impact on the lives of children and young people.

International Mission to Jewish People (IMJP) is a faith-driven organisation with a nearly 200-year history of sharing the Good News of Jesus with Jewish people across the UK, USA, and beyond. In this next chapter of growth and digital development, IMJP are strengthening their fundraising team to support a bold vision for international impact.
We're partnering with IMJP to recruit a proactive and strategic Head of Fundraising to lead the organisation’s income generation across individual giving, digital acquisition, trusts, legacies, and appeals. This is a hands-on leadership role, offering the opportunity to build and deliver a refreshed fundraising strategy that will underpin IMJP’s future.
As a key member of the Head Office team, you will work closely with the CEO, lead a small internal communications team, and coordinate the work of external consultants and international fundraising partners. With systems now in place to scale digital fundraising in both the UK and US, the focus is on ensuring operational delivery and deepening supporter engagement through insight, creativity, and clear strategic direction.
We are looking for someone who can:
- Lead the development and delivery of multichannel fundraising campaigns
- Oversee digital acquisition strategies and ensure CRM systems are fully integrated and optimised
- Manage donor journeys and stewardship, with a particular focus on mid-level givers
- Inspire and develop a small team while collaborating with global partners and external agencies
- Contribute to IMJP’s broader vision and communications strategy as part of the senior leadership
