WCC has gone through a period of transformation and operational improvements over the past 2 years which has increased the charity’s financial and organisational resilience. We are now looking for a Finance Manager who will join a well-developed team and be responsible for embedding the progress made and identifying further areas for improvement.

About the role of Finance Manager

The Finance Manager is a core member of WCC's management team and is a key advisor and partner to the CEO on all areas of finance.  The post-holder will have responsibility for timely and efficient management of the day-to-day accounting function and all internal and external financial reporting.  Reporting directly to the CEO this role is part of a friendly, highly productive and collaborative, dedicated clinical and operational staff team of ten.

It is a varied and senior position that is part time, 3 days per week, and we are happy to discuss how the hours are worked over the week. It’s hybrid, working a minimum of one day per week in our Waterloo office. The salary is £45,000 to £48,000 pro rata, depending on experience.

The successful candidate will:

• Be a Fully Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA, ICAEW etc).
• Have 5+ years PQE, preferably with charity sector/ fund accounting experience.

• Ensure a provision of high quality housing management service is provided to residents. 

Financial Management

• Manage the service budget and review monthly management accounts: Set budgets and ensure resources are maximised.
• Promote effective cost control mechanisms and other financial activities.
• Maintain financial management within the service.

Other

• Some of what else is included: Contract management and Internal auditing, admin, and general other duties as required.

KEY CRITERIA

What we are looking for:

• Understanding and/or experience of working with people of complex backgrounds, ex-offenders, mental health, substance misuse, challenging behaviours
• Experience of working with and engaging with diverse groups of people from varying backgrounds
• Previous experience in people management and development
• IT Proficiency, including Microsoft Office, and the ability to navigate and learn new case management systems and other types of organisational software.
• Ability to promote the service and provide outreach-based provision, with an ability to liaise and work effectively in partnership with stakeholders

We are looking for a Café Supervisor to be responsible for the day to day supervision and management of their designated Union Cafe. The post holder must ensure a high quality service, implementing new products as directed by the Catering Manager and ensuring the highest standards of health and safety and statutory regulations are met and maintained

The role is a full-time and permanent contract.

The post holder will be responsible for ensuring the café is open for business and ensuring a high-quality customer service at all times. The successful candidate will support the Catering Manager in determining hours of service, price, products, product range, potential new opportunities, and service standards. The Café Supervisor will also be in charge of undertaking ongoing merchandising to ensure customer awareness of available products/services and continued sales growth.

An effective project manager, you will have a firm understanding of conservation and sustainability issues and trends too. Experience in a corporate or consultancy environment as well as being comfortable working with working with partner agencies would be an advantage.

A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join Westway Trust as a Property Assistant, providing efficient and responsive administrative support across the full property team. You will be a friendly, motivated, and active administrator who will play a key role in the smooth running of the property department.

You will be pro-active, organised, with good initiative being the main point of contact responding to estate and property related enquiries and reports of issues, from tenants, customers, contractors and the community.  You will therefore need to possess or demonstrate a willingness to provide a good level of customer service with property knowledge.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

• Provide efficient and effective administrative support across the Property team, including daily active filing, archiving, photocopying, scanning and record keeping.
• Initial point of contact for enquiries to the Property team.
• Provide a responsive customer service handling system to record such enquiries.
• Coordinating the general day-to-day activities of the Head of Property & Estates in relation to emails, posts, and voicemails.
• Assisting in the preparation and maintenance of property particulars, void reports, and reviewing property marketing websites for current information.
• Cross-referencing and managing the prospective tenant’s selection list with the historical enquiry list and alerting the team of any repeat/active enquiries.
• Regular visits to Trust premises to record any Health and Safety/Fire Risk Assessment breaches and reporting these to the appropriate Facilities Management team member. 
• Assist with attending Unit Base Parking/Filming/Events on the estate, recording any infringements of agreements on site, and notifying the appropriate team member for further follow-on action.
• Preparing notification details for relevant authorities for entry and exit of tenants – rates, utilities, etc.
• Assisting with servicing property meetings (i.e., circulating papers, coordinating actions where required).
• Responsible for the recording of void premises and issuing of building keys.
• Occasionally provide assistance to the Trust’s reception/office manager for general office duties and reception cover if required.

Knowledge and Experience:

• A minimum of one year’s experience in a busy property department.
• A broad understanding of commercial property or demonstrable experience of transferable skills if you are from a different sector.
• Customer focused, with the ability to provide a friendly and efficient service to customers, staff and tenants.
• Good time management, attention to detail, organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure with changing priorities.
• Excellent administrative skills.
• High level IT skills and experience of using MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Personal skills:

• A personable and collaborative approach, with experience of developing and maintaining positive relationships with a range of stakeholders.
• Good communication skills, orally and in writing.

Global Programme Manager (Nepal & Myanmar)

The Programme Manager is an exciting and influential role at RCPCH Global, a specialist unit within the College, in which you will lead the management of our maternal and child health programmes in Nepal and Myanmar, with some support for our work in Rwanda. Based in our London office, you will oversee the implementation of the programmes, including the delivery of high-quality programme activities.

As Programme Manager, you will monitor and manage all financial and budgetary aspects of the programme in compliance with donor requirements and take the lead on all programme reporting to donors, maintaining and ensuring high-quality programme monitoring and evaluation processes are adhered to.

Crucially, you will be responsible for liaising with local programme counterparts and stakeholders in the field, which may include regular field visits. You will also take the lead on the recruitment and management of long-term programme volunteer clinicians, as well as short-term advisory consultants, for the programme.

In addition to wider donor liaison, you will help develop new programme grant agreements with a preliminary focus on UNICEF and the James Percy Foundation, as well as promoting RCPCH Global activities to external stakeholders.

Suitably qualified in international development, public health, international and global health, health systems strengthening and child health, or with equivalent work experience, you should have excellent project/programme management skills and have a background in a relevant international/development management or implementation role. 

With demonstrable experience of designing, initiating and leading complex programme development processes, including with senior government counterparts, local partner organisations and international and multilateral donor agencies, you should have a significant understanding of budget management and financial reporting, including to bilateral and multilateral donors.

Previous experience of successfully managing large complex programmes, including supporting field-programme teams both remotely and in the field, within the international development and/or health sectors is essential, whilst experience of working in developing countries would be desirable.

Although based in London, this role may include some travel to Nepal. Additional travel to Rwanda as part of support role may be required. 

RCPCH Global is a unit within RCPCH which designs and manages a range of international projects and programmes to improve neonatal, child and adolescent health, primarily in sub-Saharan Africa, Asia and the Middle East. Our programmes use teams of skilled clinicians and other health professionals to work with counterparts in targeted low-income countries to train and mentor doctors, nurses and other health workers, as a means of helping to build the capacity and quality of the health systems in those countries. 

The Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health sets and maintains standards for the education and training of all doctors working in paediatrics and child health in the UK. We advocate on child health issues at home and internationally. Additionally, through a variety of activities, the College influences the quality of medical practice for children in hospital and in the community. 

The RCPCH has more than 22,000 members and fellows and employs around 200 staff, most of whom work in our London office in Holborn. We have smaller offices in Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales.

This is a key new role in the Grants, Community and Corporate Partnerships Unit to help maximise corporate and community partnership opportunities and help scale up this growing income stream for future years.  This locally based role will support current partnerships (including golf clubs, churches, schools and local corporates) as well as scoping new opportunities across Surrey. Representing Eikon in person at events, meetings, exhibitions as well event coordination are important components of this the role. We are a diverse, highly experienced team who share a passion to support the wellbeing and mental health of young people across Surrey.

Responsibilities

1. Account Management

• Day to day/ support account management of select corporate and community partnerships. This will be agreed with their manager per partnership (who will retain leadership), but could include:
  • General stewardship including thanking and recording information on our CRM database (Donorfy) and shared drives.
  • Representing the unit at local level events and/ or delivering marketing materials to community partners.
  • Regular communication including calls, meetings and sharing reports, presentations and other updates
• Being key relationship holder for select local corporate partnerships and community groups such as primary schools, churches, supermarkets, amateur sports clubs
• Database admin including checking opportunity pipelines and reporting requirements 
• Supporting individuals from companies or community groups to fundraise for us

2. Income generation

• Mapping (desktop research) of corporate and community opportunities across Surrey to support unit’s business development plans
• Management of a pipeline of golf clubs, making timely approaches to help the unit secure new captains’ charities
• Support role on larger corporate and community partnership pitches. 

3. Event support

• Event management and/ or support for events across the unit. 
• Represent Eikon at local external events such as conferences, expos, fetes and fairs.
• Actively seeking prize donations for auctions, raffles and events
• Attending community led fundraising events such as quizzes or mufti days run by corporate & community organisations.

4. Marketing, Communications and relationships

• Support and liaise with the Marketing and Communications team to deliver relevant and effective content and materials as well as maximising social media opportunities for corporate and community groups
• Coordinate bespoke mass communications to corporate and community groups e.g. appeals, reports and updates.

5. Strategy

• Contribute to Development Team strategies, annual plans and budgets

6. Staff management

• Take part in regular supervision and team meetings.
• No line management requirement

7. Quality and standards

• Ensure all staff and volunteers understand and deliver within Eikon’s safeguarding policies and practices when taking part in fundraising activities.
• Ensure all activities follow the relevant Fundraising Codes of Practice and Eikon’s Ethical Fundraising Policy.
• Prepare relevant Partnership Agreements and Commercial Participator Agreements.
• Carry out risk assessments for all activities for which you are responsible.
• Carry out required due diligence on new corporate opportunities and ensure the company’s values do not conflict with the values or ethical policy of the charity.

8. Finance and resources.

• Operate within organisational approved budgets, policies and procedures.

9. Other responsibilities

• Keep abreast of sector trends and opportunities.

The Organisation

The Royal Parks (TRP) is a charity created in March 2017. We manage over 5,000 acres of diverse parkland, rare habitats and historic buildings and monuments in eight Royal Parks across London. The Role

As an Active Sports Officer, you will assist in the day-to-day operation and management of The Hub, the largest, most popular outdoor sports facility in central London.

Delivering outstanding customer service, you will create opportunities for under-represented groups to engage in sport and physical activity, generating income from sports bookings, events and fitness licensing in Regent’s Park and Primrose Hill.

You will assist in ensuring that staff, contractors, coaches, volunteers and league organisers and programmes provide a safe, high-quality experience and respond to the needs of our users.

• Oversee the use of the Hub and sports pitches and assist with pitch inspections
• Assist with the Fitness Licence application process
• Ensure the sports facilities and equipment comply with good practice standards
