Job Summary

We are looking for a dedicated Legacy Case Executive to lead on all operational aspects of legacy administration and case management. In this vital role, you’ll ensure legacy gifts are processed efficiently and accurately, securing the best possible financial outcomes for the charity whilst safeguarding our reputation. Working closely with colleagues in Finance and Legal, you’ll help to maintain a robust and reliable income stream that directly supports our life-saving work across communities.

About You

• Demonstrable experience within a related role in Charity Legacy or Estate Administration
• Demonstrable experience of using databases such as Dynamics 365 and Microsoft applications
• Evidence of effective relationship management with a range of external stakeholders including solicitors, lay executors and auditors
• Experienced user of First Class

About the Role

• Manage and maximise legacy income by overseeing cases, monitoring legal/admin costs, and ensuring compliance with policy and best practice.
• Act as the main point of contact for solicitors, executors, supporters, and third-party suppliers to maintain strong relationships and communication.
• Lead on complex and high-value cases, offering expert advice on probate, tax, and legal matters while escalating as needed.
• Maintain accurate records and reporting, working with Finance and Database teams to ensure audit compliance and effective forecasting.
• Drive continuous improvement by updating legacy processes, advising on policy changes, and supporting recognition programmes for legacy donors.

Oasis Ashburton Park are now in a position to employ an experienced Youth Development Lead to work alongside wider team in Croydon. The role will be focussed on the Ashburton Park area (surrounding Oasis Academies; Arena, Shirley Park and Ryeland’s) working closely with the academies as part of Oasis Ashburton Park and the ‘100 Years of Ashburton Park’ Project funded by The Heritage Lottery Fund.

As a Youth Development Lead you will;

• Develop and oversee a Youth Advisory Panel to ensure that youth voice is central to the design of our Youth Engagement Programme and the 360 Youth Centre.
• Develop and oversee the Youth Engagement Programme as part of the ‘100 years of Ashburton Park Project’ including a range of activities in and nearby to Ashburton Park, including after school drop-in’s, evening sessions, group work and one-one mentoring.
• Support the development and engagement of young people in a Food Growing Enterprise based at Ashburton Lodge.
• Work closely with Croydon Council and other partners to support young people to engage with a wide range of programmes and activities that are part of the ‘100 years of Ashburton Park Project’.
• Deliver open access sessions, group and one to one interventions with young people including; half term, afterschool, evenings and residentials, using a planned youth work curriculum.
• Line manage youth workers, sessional youth workers and youth volunteers to plan, deliver and evaluate youth work termly.
• Contribute to the development of youth work across the area and lead on specific areas of work on behalf of the team.

Amongst other requirements, the successful post holder must have:

· Relevant experience OR qualification in Youth & Community (JNC), Social Work (QSW) or SEND.

· Proven experience working with young people ‘at risk’.

· Reliability, with a flexible approach to changes and able to work unsociable hours.

· Experience of project and/or people management

Under the direction of the Service Management Team, you will lead the coordination of targeted interventions, including brief interventions, group work, and assertive outreach, aimed at individuals and groups at risk of harm from substance misuse. Responsibilities

About the role: 

• Lead on the coordination and delivery of the service’s prevention, early intervention, targeted education offers, and youth settings.
• To increase visibility and accessibility of the service amongst children, young people, families, and partners with the aim of increasing referrals into service for specialist support.
• Identifying and responding effectively to potential safeguarding issues.
• Reducing drug and alcohol related harm to service users and the wider community.
• Promoting carer, service user and community involvement.

• You have experience working with young people, with knowledge of the issues they face.
• Knowledge of safeguarding concerns and guidelines in relation to children and young people and the Fraser Competence framework.
• You have a good understanding of drug and alcohol issues and be able to speak about this publicly. 
• Knowledge of working with evidence-based practice around young people’s substance misuse treatment services and methods.

We're looking for a new Facilities Manager for our Leighton Moss reserve. This is a fantastic opportunity to join the team at Leighton Moss in North Lancashire. As part of the team, you will work for one of the world’s leading conservation charities, dedicated to saving nature.

As the Facilities Manager you will be responsible for ensuring the infrastructure and support services are well maintained, operate within budget, in line with good practice and within legal frameworks. You will provide comprehensive business/operational support facilitating delivery of work programmes and an effective working environment. You will ensure RSPB is accredited by Green Dragon and compliance is maintained. You will manage the administration of the site as well as managing staff and volunteers and ensuring a high level of customer service.

Essential skills, knowledge and experience:

• You will have the self-motivation and organisational skills to effectively prioritise and deliver a large and varied workload - maintaining our buildings, supporting the visitor business and land management operations and providing admin support to managers.
• Knowledge, understanding and evidence of the key elements of ensuring well-maintained facilities and associated services.
• Ability to ensure H&S compliance is met, knowledge and experience of writing and implementing Risk Assessments and Emergency Procedures.

Thanks to funding from the National Lottery Community Fund, we are recruiting for an Operations Manager who will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Poverty Truth Network, including the oversight of systems, staff performance and finances.

Key tasks of the role:

• To form part of the Core Leadership Team, providing overall strategic leadership across the Network

• To lead on and establish the appropriate processes to ensure high levels of staff performance and development, including appraisals and performance management 
• To develop, and where necessary implement, administrative systems which ensure effective, efficient and safe practice across the Network
• To ensure that the Network operates in line with its charitable purposes, overseeing changes to its constitution as and when necessary
• To regularly update the Charity’s policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with the relevant regulations / legislation, providing advice to the Director and trustees as appropriate 
• To oversee the production and sharing of papers for trustees in an organised and timeous manner
• To oversee the effective running of online and in-person meetings and events for the Network, liaising with other teams as appropriate
• To lead on the delivery of the Network’s Support Grant Programme
• To deputise for the Director as and when required
• Undertake other activities as needed dependent on jobholder’s knowledge, skills and experience

Job Purpose 

The Accommodation Advisor provides housing support, information, advice, and guidance (IAG) to men within the criminal justice system, ensuring successful resettlement into accommodation. Managing a high caseload, the role operates within tight key performance indicators (KPIs), supporting individuals both in the community and at HMP Hewell.

We are seeking a dynamic and creative fundraiser to support activity across community and events fundraising. The role will focus on providing exceptional stewardship for our calendar of community and events fundraising. The Brompton Fountain is the children’s charity at Royal Brompton Hospital - a world leading specialist centre for complex heart and lung disease. We work in partnership with the teams on the wards, paediatric intensive care unit (PICU) and in outpatient clinics. Our charity provides support and resources for patients, families and staff, as well as funding lifesaving medical equipment, accommodation - so that parents can stay close to their child during an admission, toys and entertainment for the playroom and improvements to the facilities to create the best possible environment for families to promote their wellbeing during what can often be a very challenging time. In collaboration with the hospital trust and the NHS we also fund research projects and develop new initiatives for babies, children and young people with heart and lung conditions.

Main Duties and Responsilbilties 

Community and Events Fundraising

• Assist in the planning and execution of a diverse range of fundraising events, including challenge events and community initiatives.

• Support the management of event logistics, including participant communication, volunteer coordination, and on-the-day activities.

• Collaborate with external partners and suppliers to ensure smooth event operations and build strong relationships for future collaboration.

• Lead outreach efforts to engage new local community partners, such as (small) businesses, schools, and clubs, promoting fundraising opportunities and supporting their initiatives.

• Lead on generating income through supermarket schemes. • To represent the charity when required in schools, engagement events and cheque presentations. 

Individual Giving

• Manage the regular giving programme by implementing a rolling 12-month plan of meaningful touchpoints to deepen relationships.

• Develop and implement a plan to encourage increased giving and recruit new regular donors with personalised cultivation and stewardship.

• Maximise engagement and retention of individual supporters (giving at lower to mid-level) by prompt thanking, excellent stewardship and building effective donor journeys.

Supporter Care

• Serve as the primary point of contact for community and events fundraisers, delivering outstanding stewardship ensuring they receive the information and support needed to maximise their fundraising potential while maintaining the highest standards of stewardship and being respectful of potential sensitivities particularly when working with families who are fundraising in memory.

• Provide timely and effective follow-up communications with supporters, ensuring they feel valued and engaged.

• Maintain our CRM database ensuring accurate records to track communications, income, and supporter preferences, ensuring compliance with GDPR and data protection laws. 

Administrative and Financial Support

• Process cash and cheque donations, Gift Aid and matched funding claims, ensuring this income is processed and recorded accurately on our database.

• Manage the distribution of supporter resources, conduct stock checks for fundraising materials and ensure an organised work environment for all fundraising assets.

• Overseeing our online shop.

Marketing and Communication

• Create engaging materials (posters, leaflets, stories etc), social media content and e-newsletters to inspire participation in fundraising activities.

• Produce impact reports and collate information for the HOF to support fundraising initiatives and grant applications.

• Ensure fundraising and associated webpages are kept up to date. Team Collaboration

• Work collaboratively with the wider team (when required) to support in-hospital and community events as well as assisting with tasks as needed to ensure smooth charity operations.

• Support the CEO and team members with ad hoc projects, activities, and any high-priority tasks to contribute to overall team objectives.

• Any other duties as required by the Head of Fundraising.

Additional Information

Salary is £30,000 - £32,000 per annum (DOE). The role covers 37.5 hours per week. Two days per week working in our charity office at Royal Brompton Hospital - London, and the remaining hours to be worked remotely. Occasional evening and weekend work subject to our events calendar. Exact working pattern to be discussed at the interview stage.

One-year fixed term contract with the potential to extend contract length subject to performance and funding.

A full driving licence or the ability to travel to events and meetings within London and the South East is essential.

About you 

You will need experience of working with people experiencing exclusion and multiple disadvantage and in a multi-disciplinary context with partners, community groups and other agencies. You have demonstrable experience of staff and service management, casework support, risk management, supervision and safeguarding, as well as delivering and managing support projects and/or contracts. If you have experience of Housing First and mobilising contracts this would be an advantage but is not essential.

About the team

Shelter North East has been supporting people in the region for over 25 years and provides advice over 12 local authorities. We are made up of an advice team, legal team as well as support services which include Housing First and DIY skills service, as well as an administration team. National staff based in the hub include a Community Fundraiser and Community Organiser, Lived Experience Officer and Business Development Manager.

We aim to bring about systemic change through our work with clients, training for our partners and volunteers and using evidence to bring about housing procedural and policy changes for people in the North East.
