The Maia Service works with young women and girls living in Newham, Tower Hamlets, Hackney, Camden, Islington and Westminster. We enable young women and girls to escape harm and to thrive in their lives and aspirations. We support young women and girls to build confidence, self-esteem and resilience, manage their health and wellbeing, and access and engage with other support services. The support we provide is delivered through a range of activities, including 1-2-1 advocacy and a programme of group-work and workshops delivered by specially trained members of staff.
About You:
Advance recognises that women and girls’ journeys to recovery after experiencing trauma are not always linear. Volunteer Mentors must be in a place in their own lives where they are not currently facing risk of harm or have ongoing support needs in relation to experience of violence and abuse, current or alcohol use and/or contact with the criminal justice system, see our Person Specification (within the job description) to understand if you are the best person for this role.

Mentors for Women provide emotional, social and practical support to women with children aged 5 and up, either online or face to face.
Asa mentor you will
- Empower women to identify changes they wish to make and goals they wish to achieve.
- Over 12 to 24 weekly sessions, offer coaching style support to women to help them achieve their goals and get them where they want to be.
- Provide a listening ear and talk thorough the challenges women face.
- Support women to make social connections with their local community or groups, refer and signpost them to other organisations providing more specialist support if needed.

Your mentoring will help women break cycles of social isolation, improve family cohesion, and wellbeing by providing support in a wide range of issues.

Commitment
- We ask volunteers to commit to delivering mentoring for 1–2-hours a week, over a period of 24 in person sessions. Although occasionally session are held online, through mentee and mentor testimonies we have seen the positive impact holding sessions in person vs online has, and so we would ask any perspective volunteers to be prepared to be available for all in person session should this be the required need of your mentee.
- Attending monthly group online meetings, which is a great opportunity for all the mentors to come together discuss challenges, successes and further develop mentoring skills.
Training
Through our comprehensive training and ongoing support, you will develop skills in positive psychology and coaching style techniques, cover topics including safeguarding, confidentiality, the person-centred approach and the growth mindset all of which will help you to effectively support someone to making steps towards positive change.
Mentors have a designated Programme Officer, offering 1-2-1 support when you need it.

- Due to the nature of our users of this programme, we are only accepting female volunteers for this role.
- In person session will take place near to where your mentee lives, within Westminster and Kensington and Chelsea boroughs.

The Professional Development Programme with Quilombo UK runs over a period of 16 weeks, is UNPAID and requires a minimum of 12 hours commitment per week across Monday, Wednesday and/or Friday.

Team Up is looking for dynamic volunteer tutors to help transform the life chances of underachieving pupils from disadvantaged backgrounds.
About Team Up
Team Up tutor disadvantaged children in Maths and English to double their progress, help them gain confidence and improve their future prospects. We do this with the help of inspirational volunteer tutors, alongside a team of qualified professionals.
We partner with schools across London to deliver our 10-12 week tuition programme during the Autumn, Spring and Summer school terms. Tutors receive training and ongoing support from their programme manager throughout the programme. Our programma managers attend each session with the volunteers and liaise with the partner to ensure the programme runs smoothly.
About the role
You will be matched to a small number of pupils and we will supply you with training and materials to deliver engaging tuition sessions. Your tutor group will consist of up to four pupils of a similar level who are currently underperforming and provide them with the academic support and encouragement they need to get back on track.

You will oversee fundraising efforts for Students4Students, which includes grant writing, running campaings and overseeing our team of Branch Fundraising Officers.

S4S has c.100 volunteers split across 4 branches. Each branch is semi-independent and run by student committees. These students are supported via our committee programme. At each of these committees, we have a student Fundraising Officer.

Commitment
- We ask volunteers to commit to delivering mentoring1–2-hour a week, over a period of 24 sessions. Through mentee and mentor testimonies we have seen the positive impact holding sessions in person vs online has, and so we would ask any perspective volunteers to be prepared to be available for all in person session should this be the required need of your mentee.
- Attend monthly online group supervisions held weekday evenings. Supervisions are a great place to meet other mentors, share skills and ideas around mentoring, hear from organisation who can enhance your mentoring experience as well get support with the challenges you may face.

We are looking for talented, articulate people to join us as grants fundraising volunteers.
As our work develops, we increasingly need to ask funders to support our work – and we could do with some help with creating our smaller grant applications.
We are looking to grow our activities for children aged five and upwards, new sessions for adults in the community and our youth support coaching programme. We also need funds to help our residents with food and hygiene items – including ‘welcome packs’ for everyone who comes to live with us.
Joining us as a grants fundraising volunteer will involve you in having a small group of trusts and grant-makers to apply to, using our established budgets and cases for support, and – where your applications are successful – providing written and visual evidence to report back on how we’ve spent the money. We want you to feel a sense of pride and accomplishment in being at the heart of making things happen for young people, and there will be occasional opportunities to attend cheque presentations and other events if you would like to.
This is a role that can be carried out remotely and at times that suit you, although we’d hope to see you spending some time at the YMCA to get to know the work that you will be supporting.
Your Role
- To get to know our work and the specific projects and items that YMCA Doncaster needs to raise grant funding for.
- To develop a clear understanding of the ‘Cases for Support’ that you will be using in writing your applications.
- To take on a small group of trusts and grant-makers, submit applications to them and answer basic queries during the application process.
- To make sure that those who fund our work are thanked, acknowledged appropriately and updated on the difference that their support makes.
- To carry out grantmaker searches as needed.
- To attend – if you would like to – cheque presentations and other events on behalf of YMCA Doncaster.

As part of our strategic priorities, RollaDome All Skate is currently seeking, detail-oriented, reliable, friendly Clubs Administrator to join our growing team. You will be expected to deliver a high-quality experience to our members and visitors in a friendly yet professional manner at all times.
Front of House:
· Meet and greet members, visitors to the Clubs and attend to their requirements as needed.
· Deal with all general membership enquiries, including booking issues, registration information and bookings.
· Set up and administer all club related activities on time booking sheet to include medical information, equipment sizes, all club bookings and event planning.
· Keep members informed in relation to any rescheduling, delays, or changes to planed club events and activities.
· Ensure club times are adhered to.
· Ensure members are informed of club and organisation events.
· Ensure reception desk is always manned, during club and event sessions.
· Work with the head Coach/Operations Director, the Business Manager and CEO to organise all groups/outings that are being hosted by RollaDome and prepare team and facility for these events.
· Ensure relevant signage is always displayed.
· Print and place signs where required for both in house team and members, along with visitors.
· Inform members of grading outcomes and grading dates and times.
· Ensure correct equipment is on site to meet the neds of all participants
· Ensure correct registers, and booking information is to hand during every club session.
· Collate weekly feedback from skaters and guardians.
· Ensure that all equipment is collected daily and stored accordingly.
Coordination and Administration:
· Opening and closing of all clubs
· Ensure Administration of the Booking System to ensure a seamless process for members.
· Ensuring all administrative requirements are in place in advance of all clubs/events
· Ensure all administrative tasks are completed when the members have completed their term and grading
General Administration:
· Opening and closing of premises as required.
· Ensure adequate supply of equipment.
· Any new projects as assigned by management
Health & Safety:
· Report any incidents in respect of members and/or guests and any faults in respect of the building, car park, hall to the Head Coach.
· Ensure all incidents/accidents are recorded in the Incident Report Book.
· Ensure First Aid boxes are full stocked and is in situ and visible at all times.
