North Bristol & South Gloucestershire (NBSG) Foodbank has operated for 12 years, providing emergency food parcels to people in crisis in the local community. Recently, we have shifted our focus to go beyond food and try to tackle the root causes of food insecurity. One goal of our new strategy is to change minds, change policy and create empathy about poverty. The Campaign Coordinator is responsible for working towards this goal by delivering the Trussell Trust’s (TT) influencing and mobilising work during the General Election (GE). You will do this by building strong relationships with other food banks in the Bristol & South Gloucestershire area. Campaign Coordinators implement TT’s national GE strategy, by using Organising techniques to put pressure on Prospective Parliamentary Candidates (PPCs) in each Combined Local Authority.
You will lead local community teams of people who support ending the need for food banks, to secure commitments from your PPCs to ‘prioritise the problem of people going without essentials if re/elected, acknowledging the role social security needs to play in tackling it.’
This role is funded by TT as part of their GE strategy, and you will be part of a network of Campaign Coordinators around the UK doing this work. You will serve as the link between NBSG Foodbank and the Mobilisation team at TT, as we build a movement to end the need for food banks.

Roles & Responsibilities:

To build trusted relationships with food banks during (pre and post) UK General Election. You will hold 121 conversations with each food bank in the Bristol & South Gloucestershire area and ensure there is clear communication between the food banks.

To support teams of community volunteers. You will have 121’s with: food bank staff, volunteers, partner organisations and stakeholders in each community to develop community bases for your campaign work.

To lead effective door-knocking teams in your community. You will door knock with your community campaign team to drum up support for the campaign, provide members of the public literature on food bank use in their local community, and invite people to their local hustings.

To help each of your community campaign teams organise a local hustings. You will ensure that your community campaign teams: attend national TT webinars, receive national guidance on how to approach PPCs, understand the TT legal GE guidance, understand the logistics of organising a hustings, ensure that the hustings is as accessible as possible and ensure that the voices of people with lived experience are heard through the hustings.

To develop good relationships with local press and media outlets. You will work alongside National TT colleagues to find key press and media contacts in your area, ensuring your community campaign teams get coverage for their hard work.

To deliver the local campaigning strategy working with food bank staff, volunteers and clients.

To work with the Organising and Local Mobilisation (OLM) team in TT and engage with the training and support on offer, including work with other Campaign Coordinators in the TT network.

To liaise with the Foodbank Manager regularly, providing updates on campaigns work, coordinating its integration into the entire NBSG team, to ensure the work is sustainable.

Working under the direction of Academic Representation Manager, you will coordinate and develop a Course Rep scheme that accurately and legitimately represents Manchester Met students and creates positive change and supervise and support the Faculty Organisers throughout the year in supporting course reps and the work of other union departments within faculties.
- You will lead on the course rep recruitment plan and training, including the delivery of the lead volunteer program, maintaining a partnership approach to delivering the Course Rep scheme, through positive relationships with university stakeholders and Union colleagues.
- You will organise and deliver events and workshops for Course Reps around particularly issues identified as relevant to their academic community and support the Academic Representation Manager with any projects, consultations or research into the academic experience at MMU.

We are now recruiting for a new role in the Resources Team within the Crisis at Christmas Team to support with coordinating the material donations needed to set up and run Crisis at Christmas centres and services. Every year, Crisis at Christmas opens its doors to people who need our support, offering warmth, accommodation, healthcare, food, and specialist advice. About the role
As a Project Coordinator – Resources your role will involve building relationships with current and new corporate donors to ensure we can resource all the required material donations we need to run the Crisis at Christmas centres in London. This is a varied role that involves researching donors, communicating with large corporate companies, managing volunteers, and running community donations.

We are seeking a Fundraising Coordinator (Individual Giving) to join our small but dynamic Fundraising team.
The role requires excellent donor care and stewardship skills. All forms of communication will be required including the proactive use of digital channels such as the website and social media platforms.
The Individual Giving Fundraiser will play a vital role in increasing income from our existing supporters. You will support donor acquisition as well as taking the lead on retention of our supporters across multiple channels including cash appeals, regular giving, lottery and in celebration giving. The role will also support the Head of Income in the delivery of a legacy and major donor program.
You will develop and deliver excellent stewardship programmes that drive retention by deepening audience understanding of the challenges that people affected by cleft face and the impact that their donations make. Using data and insight, you’ll deliver compelling campaigns, with people affected by cleft right at the centre. We are looking for a Centre Support Coordinator to join our team in our Bristol Centre. In this role, you will provide a warm and welcoming reception for young people, staff, and visitors over the phone and in person, so if you are approachable, passionate, and non-judgemental, this could be your role.
You will indirectly support young people by ensuring that our Bristol Centre operates safely and efficiently. You will be responsible for managing delivery space, facilities compliance and controlling office equipment and supplies. Having previous administrative experience is beneficial but not essential.
To be successful in this role, you must have a good understanding of the challenges young people within our target groups face, to assist them when they arrive in our Centre. In this role no two days are the same, you get to be involved with many different functions of the Trust and interact with everyone who works in the Bristol Centre, this is why planning and organisation skills are a must.

Working alongside GP practices, Social Prescribing Link Coordinators help child and adult mental health patients and families connect with health and community services which will make a real difference to their emotional and physical wellbeing.
You will deliver personalised support to patients, independently managing new referrals from health professional and a caseload. It’s essential that you have an understanding of how to prioritise need, and are able to recognise when to refer on to specialist services, and must be confident to communicate at all levels across health and social care sectors.
The position is available in Gillingham and applicants must have experience of working with adults or children, a background in medical or social care, and experience of delivering mental health support to clients or groups.

Befriending Scheme Coordinator
Part-time, 21 hours per week
£13,152 per annum (£21,921 FTE)
We have an exciting part time opportunity to join our Befriending Service which aims to ease loneliness and isolation of older people across Dacorum.
You will be responsible for coordinating our volunteers who either provide companionship through home visits or friendly telephone chats. You will also help to promote volunteering throughout Dacorum.
This rewarding position offers flexibility and autonomy in the way that you work.
It requires someone with excellent communication and organisation skills.
As you will be required to travel throughout the Dacorum area, a full driving licence with daily use of a car is essential.
Main purpose of Role
The purpose of the role is to coordinate the Befriending Service by carefully matching volunteers to visit an older lonely, isolated person in their own home to provide friendship and company.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and record referrals for the befriending scheme from a variety of health and social care professionals, voluntary organisations, or family and friends
- Make contact with potential clients by undertaking initial telephone assessments and carrying out initial assessment visits, taking time to understand the needs of the clients and to assess suitability for the befriending scheme
- Actively recruit volunteers for both the visiting service. This will include interviewing potential volunteers and completion of DBS and references checks
- Provide individual inductions for all new volunteers recruited within the locality, ensuring that volunteers are appropriately trained to carry out their befriending role
- Carefully match volunteers with a client to ensure compatibility, and personally introduce visiting volunteers to clients
- Maintain regular contact with volunteers and clients to offer ongoing support and advice
- Manage and organise own administration work, ensuring that it is accurate and meets quality targets
- Complete and record monitoring forms
- Respect the confidentiality and dignity of clients and their rights to make their own decision
- Promote volunteering throughout the district by using a variety of media, attending public events and generally raising the profile of Age UK Hertfordshire
- Maintain the database, keeping up to date and accurate records
- Attend all training and meetings as requested by the Service Manager
- Work within AUKH policies and procedures and keep up to date with legislation for volunteer based projects.
In order to be successful you must be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:
Essential
- Proven IT skills including MS Office and Outlook to an intermediate level as well as database management experience
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal together with the ability to tailor your communication style to your audience
- The ability to work both as part of a team as well as independently
- Excellent organisational skills where you are able to priorities tasks in order to meet deadlines and/or expectations
- A positive, helpful, conscientious work ethic
- Full UK driving licence and own car
- The ability to be flexible in working hours from time to time
Desirable
- Experience of dealing with either volunteers and /or the elderly/vulnerable. This could have been gained from a previous role or a personal situation
- Experience of when you have had to assess clients needs in a sensitive manner
- Knowledge of the local area

You will work with the Independent Living Skills and Creative Programmes Manager to ensure we deliver a creative programme which maximises the potential of our students, makes best use of Share resources and local partnerships, and supports students to develop the skills to live more independent fulfilling lives.

Main responsibilities
- You’ll manage the delivery of our Independent Living Skills programmes across our sites, looking to ensure they are delivered to the highest standard
- You will ensure all Independent Living Skills programmes are comprehensive, impacting students beyond the classroom, including exploring the opportunities for delivery in the community and home setting
- You will line manage the Independent Living Skills Tutors and ensure they have adequate resources to deliver sessions
- You will work with tutors to meet organisational strategic goals with a focus on activities which support progression on the Outcomes Star

- You have experience in planning and coordinating inclusive activities with a focus on supporting independent activities
- You have experience in coordinating, planning and delivering sessions for adults that enable people to acquire new skills, both social and practical

Advocacy 1st is a free, independent service provided by advocates who specialise in the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act and the Mental Health Act.
Location: Remote based in Oxfordshire
Key duties:
· Recruiting, training and providing ongoing support to volunteers
· Working with the children and young people to assess their service requirements
· Working with stakeholders to raise awareness and recognise and identify care leavers and young people in need of the Independent Visitors and Care Leavers service
· Looking at opportunities to engage and work with services to identify care leavers and independent visitors
· Reporting and discussing all safeguarding concerns with the service manager
· Completing initial assessments and matching volunteers to young people

· Has qualifications relevant to the role
