About the role
At the heart of our welfare operations, our brilliant Regional Casework Coordinators are the primary point of contact for members of the Armed Forces community when reaching out to our Regional Offices for assistance.
In this dynamic role, no two days are the same. You may be assisting beneficiaries in distress over the phone, managing email and voicemail communications, collaborating with volunteers on complex casework, building strong relationships with local authorities and charitable organisations, or working closely with internal services to secure the best possible outcomes for our beneficiaries.
You will sometimes handle complex problems from clients who may be distressed; identifying their needs to determine the best way to assist them. You will have ownership of cases from beginning to end, coordinating the casework process efficiently and ensuring that the beneficiary journey is at the centre of the service.
Whilst the post is homebased, to be eligible for this role you are required to live in the East of England region; in Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire, or Essex.
You will occasionally be required to travel around the region or further afield, to attend face to face meetings or training events.
To help you establish yourself in this new post you will receive excellent training and an induction to SSAFA. You will initially be required to attend an in-person caseworkers’ course which may require an overnight stay.
About the team
Reporting to the Regional Casework Manager our Casework Coordinators, along with our Volunteer Caseworkers, work remotely within the regional office area. With beneficiaries at the heart of everything we do, team members pride themselves in building and maintaining close working relationships to ensure the smooth operation of the office. The wider regional team includes a Regional Manager, Volunteer Development Manager and a Community Engagement Manager.
About you
To thrive in this role, you will maintain composure and resilience in high-pressure situations, while demonstrating empathy and a strong commitment to assisting individuals in need.
Our beneficiaries are at the heart of everything we do. To assist them effectively, you’ll need to be an attentive listener and a clear, compassionate communicator.
You will have experience of providing welfare support, especially on the telephone and a good knowledge of benefits, debt management, disability, homelessness, local authority provision or mobility would be a real benefit. Understanding the way of life of today’s Armed Forces, veterans and their families and experience of working with volunteers would be a real advantage.
Knowledge of Safeguarding and GDPR is essential in this complex role as team members are responsible for recording and protecting personal data and reporting safeguarding concerns.
A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 applications is essential, and prior experience using a case management system would be highly advantageous. It is important that you have experience of planning and managing your own workload, with minimal supervision.

Purpose of Post: The Events Coordinator will help to plan, promote and deliver a diverse programme of online and in-person events that reflect the organisation’s mission to support, empower and amplify the voices of people with lived experience of mental illness. These will include outreach sessions, campaigning events, open forums, creative workshops, community engagement activities, fundraising events, awareness days and partnership events.
The post-holder will ensure all events are accessible, inclusive, trauma-informed and well-organised, working closely with the Engagement & Campaigns Manager, project teams, volunteers and external partners.
Given the collaborative and engagement-focused nature of this role, and its direct delivery responsibilities, regular face-to-face working is required, with the post-holder based primarily in the office and attending events and community activities as needed.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Planning and Coordination
- Develop and maintain an annual events calendar covering outreach, campaigns, creative sessions, open forums, workshops and fundraising (both online and in-person).
- Lead on the end-to-end planning of online and in-person events including aims, audience, format, accessibility needs, timelines, budgets, venues, equipment and staffing.
- Prepare event plans, schedules, risk assessments and checklists to ensure smooth delivery.
- Liaise with venues, suppliers and partners to negotiate costs (ensuring value for money), confirm bookings and arrange logistics.
Promotion and Communications
- Produce accessible event information and promotional materials, working with colleagues to ensure inclusive language, imagery and formats.
- Use social media, website updates, e-newsletters and community networks to publicise events.
- Maintain event booking systems (e.g. Eventbrite, online forms), manage attendee lists and respond promptly to enquiries.
Event Delivery
- Act as point of contact on the day of events, ensuring smooth set-up, running and pack-down (including seating, signage, technology and accessibility adjustments).
- Brief staff, volunteers and facilitators on their roles and responsibilities before and during events, to ensure clarity of roles.
- Greet attendees, speakers and partners; creating a warm, inclusive and trauma-sensitive environment.
- Monitor timing, technical requirements (e.g. microphones, presentations, online platforms if appropriate) and respond to any issues that arise calmly and adapt plans where needed.
Community Engagement and Stakeholder Support
- Build strong relationships with partner organisations, community groups, local charities, the council and health & social care stakeholders.
- Represent the organisation professionally at meetings, outreach events and networking opportunities as necessary.
- Support delivery of awareness campaigns, public consultations and community engagement activity.
Volunteer Coordination
- Support the recruitment, induction, supervision and recognition of event volunteers.
- Provide clear instructions and create a positive, supportive environment for volunteers.
Monitoring, Evaluation and Reporting
- Collect and analyse event data, including attendance, demographics, costs, outcomes and feedback (e.g. surveys, informal feedback, Mentimeter)
- Produce reports and summaries to evidence impact, support funder reporting and inform future planning.
Finance and Administration
- Work within agreed event budgets, tracking expenditure and income, and seeking value for money.
- Process invoices, petty cash and expenses in line with Hear Us, financial procedures.
- Maintain an organised system for event documentation (e.g. booking forms, contracts, attendance, risk assessments, evaluations).
Safeguarding, EDI and Health & Safety
- Ensure all events comply with safeguarding, data protection, confidentiality and health & safety policies.
- Ensure events are inclusive of people from diverse backgrounds and are accessible to people with a range of mental health needs and disabilities.
- Report safeguarding concerns promptly following internal procedures.
Other Duties
- Attend staff meetings, supervision, training and development opportunities.
- Contribute to a positive, collaborative and learning culture.

Make a Real Difference to Local Families
Home-Start Barnet, Brent and Harrow is a dynamic local charity supporting families with young children through challenging times. Our volunteers and staff offer emotional and practical support to help parents build confidence, strengthen relationships and give their children the best start in life.
We’re looking for a Family Engagement Coordinator to join our School Readiness project in Grahame Park, Barnet. You’ll be part of a friendly team at Home-Start Barnet, working closely with colleagues and partners at Barnet Mencap to support families who are just starting their journey with the education system.
In this role, you’ll help us reach families who may be facing extra challenges or need more personalised support. You’ll spend time building strong, trusting relationships with local primary schools and become a familiar, welcoming presence within their school communities. Ashinaga UK is recruiting a Programme Coordinator to support the delivery of the Ashinaga Africa Initiative leadership development programme for African Scholars studying in the UK. As part of a mission-driven global organisation, the coordinator will play a key role in ensuring smooth programme operations, student support, and administrative excellence throughout the annual Scholar cycle. This role is ideal for someone who is organised, proactive, and passionate about helping young leaders thrive. The coordinator will work closely with the Programme Manager to streamline processes, support events, maintain essential systems, and strengthen the overall Scholar experience across the year.
The Ashinaga movement was founded in Japan in the 1960s and has since expanded across the globe, empowering over 120,000 orphaned youth with access to education and support to achieve their full potential. The Ashinaga Africa Initiative was launched 11 years ago with the aim of equipping future leaders for Africa through undergraduate scholarships and leadership development opportunities. Programme Coordinator
- Location: Remote. Candidates must be willing to travel regularly for programme activities and team meetings.
- Contract: Full-time, Monday to Friday with occasional work on weekends or evenings.

Sophie Hayes Foundation (SHF) is a small but mighty charity, empowering women survivors of modern slavery and exploitation. It is an important time at SHF. Our new strategy ‘Sustainable Freedom from Modern Slavery’ launched in 2024 and this role is essential for the delivery of the strategy and ensuring that survivors of modern slavery, human trafficking, and exploitation have access to the support and opportunities they need to achieve their aspirations, independence and a positive future. With soaring numbers of referral to the NRM and thousands more victims living in fear of a hostile environment, this has never been more important than now.
At the heart of Sophie Hayes Foundation’s work will be the support to and empowerment of survivors of modern slavery and human trafficking and this role is critical to survivors’ journeys to sustainable freedom. We are increasingly aware of the precarity faced by survivors, especially during transitions moving on from support and at points of decision making from the NRM or Home Office.
Alongside a small, friendly and dedicated team, you will build pathways of support for a range of participants who are supported by SHF through connecting them to other community organisations. Your role will include assisting them to access safe accommodation, community support, mental health support and access to finances.
You will champion the voices of survivors through the work of the organisation, working with colleagues in CREW, our survivor network, to provide continued support to survivors’ long term.
About the Role
- Conducting initial welcome calls to participants to assess their needs and desired pathway into SHF
- Host Monthly 121 Check-ins with participants who don’t have support workers and during those sessions signpost to long-term support to widen their community support. Writing support letters when needed
- Actively engage with local, regional, and national partners and anti-slavery networks to build and maintain partnerships for survivor referral pathways to other organisations
- Work alongside the CREW Co-ordinator to run events which foster connection within our CREW network, such as a monthly coffee morning
- Support in the facilitation of in-person sessions whether CREW or part of the Programme delivery.
- Support in the facilitation of Programmes and CREW events
- Ensure highest levels of Safeguarding, compiling safety plans for participants and carrying out risk assessments where necessary.
- Accurate data input to and management of internal monitoring and finance systems, working closely with the Head of Programmes to analyse trends and contribute to reporting.
- Contribute to centring survivor perspectives in the work of Sophie Hayes Foundation by sharing and channelling learning from programme delivery to colleagues.
- Other duties which may arise under the implementation of the new strategy, as directed by the Head of Employability Programme.

The International Water Association (IWA) is seeking a capable and experienced Event Coordinator to support the professional delivery of its global conference portfolio. IWA has established a dedicated event delivery entity, IWA Conferences Limited, to strengthen the quality, consistency, and operational standards of its events worldwide.
The role is responsible for the full operational delivery of IWA conferences, ensuring that all logistical, technical, and supplier elements are planned and executed to a high standard, on time and within budget. The post works under the direction of the Conference Producer and focuses solely on the operational aspects of event delivery. It does not include responsibility for programme design, delegate registration, sponsorship sales, or marketing activities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Event Operations & Logistics
- Lead operational planning for all IWA conferences and events.
- Develop delivery plans, run sheets, floorplans, schedules, and onsite procedures.
- Manage all venue arrangements including room allocations, technical requirements, catering, access, and safety.
- Ensure all events meet required standards in health & safety, insurance, safeguarding (where applicable), and contractual compliance.
- Oversee onsite setup, delivery, and breakdown.
- International travel will be required several times per year.
2. Supplier & Contract Management
- Source, negotiate, and manage suppliers including venues, AV/technical contractors, caterers, staging companies, decorators, and logistics partners.
- Ensure value for money, delivery quality, and adherence to agreed timelines.
- Monitor supplier performance and maintain clear documentation.
3. Onsite Delivery
- Act as the operational lead during live events.
- Coordinate suppliers, onsite staff, volunteers, and support teams.
- Resolve operational issues quickly and maintain a professional delegate environment.
4. Budget & Reporting
- Manage operational budgets and track expenditure.
- Prepare post-event operational reports and lessons learned.
- Support continuous improvement of delivery processes and supplier frameworks.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in event operations and logistics, ideally with international or multi-day events.
- Strong organisational and scheduling skills with close attention to detail.
- Experience managing suppliers, contracts, and operational budgets.
- Ability to interpret technical/AV specifications.
- Confident working on site and handling time-critical challenges.
- Clear and precise communication skills.
- Competence in standard office software and event-related systems.
- Experience working in multicultural or international environments.
