Role description:

We are excited to be seeking a talented and motivated individual to join Southampton Hospitals Charity as a Community & Events Fundraising Officer, to help develop and grow this key area by engaging supporters, building strong relationships within the community, and maximising income through creative and impactful fundraising activities.

This opportunity comes at an exciting time within the Charity as we look to grow our team and reach. The post holder will require a good knowledge of fundraising and considerable energy and enthusiasm that will inspire patients, visitors, hospital staff and the local community to choose Southampton Hospitals Charity as their preferred charity.

We are looking for an individual who is as passionate about fundraising as the work we do as a Charity to join our team. This role will be key, as we look to embed our ambitious new strategy to grow our income, reach and impact.

Key tasks and responsibilities

Community & Events

• Working with the Fundraising Manager to develop and implement strategies to support the growth from community fundraising activities.
• Acting as a key point of contact for community fundraisers, providing guidance, resources, and support to help them achieve their goals.
• Develop an annual calendar of participation events, including leading on the creation and delivery of marketing activity for these initiatives to maximise promotion, engagement and income.
• To work closely with the Hospital Engagement team within the Charity Hub to help ensure good cross stewardship, maximise hospital staff participating in events and being on-hand to meet with potential donors.
• Planning, organising and delivering fundraising events, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and meet income targets.
• Support with the recruiting, training and managing event volunteers to ensure successful delivery of events and show them a high standard of care and support to retain them.
• Cultivate and manage relationships with supporters, ensuring excellent stewardship and engagement.
• Identify and develop opportunities to grow the Charity’s supporter base (including working collaboratively with other teams to integrate community and event fundraising with other areas of the organisation).
• Representing the Chairty at external functions, events, giving talks and presentations as required.
• Work closely with the marketing team on the planning and delivery of marketing activity for all fundraising events and initiatives, taking responsibility for generating content, scheduling activity and driving audience engagement.
• Build a robust fundraising pipeline across community and events, monitoring and evaluating the success of fundraising activities, producing regular reports and data analysis.
• Setting and manage income and expenditure for all fundraising initiatives, ensuring cost-effectiveness and profitability.
• Keeping accurate records of donor interactions, income, and expenditure on the charity’s database (Beacon).
• Performing other duties as reasonably required within the role.
• To liaise and manage relationships with external suppliers such as 3rd party event organisers, event companies and venues.

Knowledge and experience

• Experience of increasing income through successful community events, corporate or volunteer fundraising programmes or equivalent transferable experience from another sector.
• A proven track record of delivering an excellent customer/supporter stewardship experience.
• Experience of managing multiple projects and budgets.
• Demonstrable experience using data insight and analysis to inform decision making.
•  Excellent IT skills including using Excel, Word, Outlook and Power Point as well as experience of administering and maintaining dedicated supporter databases.
• Knowledge of a Fundraising Database and knowledge of fundraising regulations.

In this exciting and challenging new role, you will be working with colleagues, local partners, communities and businesses to develop and implement the Fundraising strategy for Age UK Milton Keynes.  You will source and manage income from a variety of funding streams, including trusts and foundations, corporates and community fundraising, including legacies.  We are looking for an experienced, creative and ambitious fundraiser.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Research, develop and implement multiyear fundraising strategy and annual plans in order to meet income targets.

• Ensure all the legal requirements for events and community fundraising are in place and adhere to the Fundraising Regulators Code of Fundraising Practice and charity law requirements.

Senior Corporate Fundraiser

Location: Hybrid

Salary: FTE £29,000 to £32,000 (£15.93 to £17.58 per hour)

We are looking for a Senior Corporate Fundraiser to become an integral part of the Meningitis Now corporate fundraising team, as we build upon our longstanding, dedicated supporter base with exciting new partnerships and tremendous potential for growth.

You will provide expert stewardship of our current portfolio of corporate supporters and deliver new fundraising activities and campaigns that will inspire their employees to fundraise. These relationships will develop further by securing new support through sponsorship, company donations, payroll giving and referrals to new partnership prospects within their network.

You will work with the Corporate Fundraising Manager to identify, secure and launch new partnerships for the charity and work together to grow income from corporate fundraising incrementally over the coming years.

This role sits within Meningitis Now’s Partnerships Team, currently a team of four, which is responsible for raising sustainable income from trusts, grants, corporate partnerships and key supporters.

About the Job

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Work collaboratively as part of the Partnerships Team, to deliver the annual corporate fundraising plan and income target of £224,420 in 2026/27.
• Account management to develop positive relationships with all corporate supporters with the aim of achieving long-term and sustainable support. This will include written communications, telephone conversations, face-to-face meetings and attendance at events.
• Work closely with the Corporate Fundraising Manager to develop new, creative and engaging opportunities for companies to support Meningitis Now.
• Support the fundraising team in the promotion of our events and corporate sponsorship opportunities.
• Deliver excellent stewardship to inspire supporters to take part in events and, where opportunities exist, cultivate longer-term corporate partnerships.
• Create compelling donor communications and ensure that impact reports are compiled to a high standard.
• Proactively follow up on incoming enquiries from companies who have expressed an interest in supporting the charity.

Purpose of the role

Reporting to the Fundraising Manager, the Community & Events Executive is an integral part of the Fundraising team, providing outstanding administrative and general fundraising support with a focus on income generation, supporter stewardship and data accuracy. The Fundraising Executive manages all incoming fundraising enquiries and provides excellent customer care and stewardship to our community and events supporters. Volunteer Centre Hackney is a thriving charity (annual income circa £1.1m, with 29 paid staff) providing volunteering infrastructure to the voluntary sector across the City of London and the London borough of Hackney. We support over 1500 residents a year to realise their skills and passions through volunteering and social action, and to share these for the benefit of others. We also provide volunteering resource, and advice and guidance on best practice in volunteer management, to hundreds of charities and community organisations.

Through our specialist programmes, our impact on the lives of residents is huge. We match volunteers to housebound residents to help them engage with communities and leave their homes; we provide long term personalised support to people with mental health conditions and learning disabilities to help them volunteer and find paid jobs; we support patients to deliver hundreds of their own activities and peer support groups at GP practices across City and Hackney; and in partnership with Public Health, we support over 250 Community Health Champions to share vital health messaging with their own diverse communities.  

This is a hands-on and strategic role for an experienced fundraiser who thrives in a small to medium sized charity environment. You will have autonomy to develop a whole new fundraising strategy, utilising diverse fundraising methods, and building and developing new project ideas and partnerships. You will lead on income generation primarily through sourcing and applying to multiple trusts and foundations, but diversified by building new corporate partnerships, community campaigns and individual giving. You will build authentic relationships with funders and supporters, and together with VCH colleagues, will identify new programme models as ways to generate income. We are seeking a proactive, strategic and donor-centred fundraiser to lead and implement our

Individual Giving and emerging Legacy Giving programmes. This role is ideal for a fundraiser with experience in donor stewardship, campaign development and relationship-based fundraising who is ready to play a key role in growing sustainable voluntary income.

You will lead on the end-to-end delivery of supporter acquisition, retention, and stewardship plans, ensuring that every donor feels valued and understands the impact of their support. Alongside managing an established portfolio, you will proactively build a strong pipeline of new prospects, driving year‑on‑year income growth.

In addition, you will lead the development of our first Legacy Giving programme. With no formal legacy activity in place and a large, engaged volunteer network, this is a unique opportunity to establish a long-term income stream from the ground-up – raising awareness, creating accessible materials and nurturing warm supporters who may consider leaving a gift in their Will.

This role blends strategic planning with “hands-on” campaign delivery. The Community Fundraising Manager is responsible for leading and growing the hospice’s community income portfolio, driving sustainable voluntary income through grassroots engagement, volunteer mobilisation and campaign development.

The post holder will hold accountability for income generated through all community fundraising activity, alongside key community campaigns such as Rudolph Run, Bunny Hop and Coffee Morning.

Centrepoint, the UK’s leading youth homelessness charity, is looking for a Senior Philanthropy Officer to join our Philanthropy team based in London or Manchester.

Centrepoint operates a hybrid working model. The requirement is a minimum of 50% of your working week to be worked in the office. For most full-time colleagues, this means attending the office for five days over a two-week period (e.g., two days one week and three days the next). We provide homeless young people with accommodation, health support and life skills in order to get them back into education, training and employment. We want to end youth homelessness by 2037, and together with our partners we support over 16,000 young people each year.

High Value Giving is an area of income growth for Centrepoint, with the Philanthropy team forming part of the Relationship Fundraising Department. The Senior Philanthropy Officer role plays a crucial part within the Philanthropy team, as the team look to build upon their recent successes and income trajectory.

Developing donor relationships, producing important cultivation resources and contributing to the creation of a robust donor pipeline will form key responsibilities for this role. About You

The Senior Philanthropy Officer will report into the Philanthropy Manager. This role will steward its own major donor portfolio, managing gifts between £5,000 and £100,000, and project manage an element of the team strategy to help achieve the Philanthropy income target.

The post holder with work closely with other teams, particularly the mid-value team, within fundraising and the organisation more widely, to maximise income for Centrepoint.

What you’ll be doing

As Senior Philanthropy Officer, you will play a key role in growing high-value income by developing relationships with major donors and building a strong pipeline of future supporters.

You will manage your own portfolio of major donors while also contributing to the wider philanthropy strategy.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing and stewarding a portfolio of major donors, developing tailored engagement and communication plans
• Growing income from existing donors and cultivating new major donor prospects
• Leading the Mid Value to Major Donor pathway, identifying and developing high-potential donors
• Project managing key elements of the philanthropy strategy to drive income growth
• Working with teams across the organisation to identify funding needs and develop compelling cases for support
• Producing major donor appeals, reports, newsletters and updates
• Maintaining accurate donor records and reporting on the CRM system
• Managing administrative and financial processes relating to donor income
• Representing the organisation at donor meetings, events and service visits
• Keeping up to date with philanthropy trends and sector developments
• Supporting wider fundraising events and activities

Key Responsibilities 

Event Planning & Development 

• Support the management and delivery of a programme of special events across the UK.

• Cultivate, steward and recruit new and existing supporters and volunteers to participate in a range of events.
• Arrange and deliver tours of Ronald McDonald Houses for existing and prospective donors.

Marketing, Communications & Representation 

• Work closely with the Marketing and Communications team to produce appropriate fundraising materials and maximise public relations opportunities.
• Represent Ronald McDonald House Charities UK at fundraising meetings and presentations as required.

Data Management, Reporting & Insights

• Manage and record event communications and information, including income and expenditure.
• Contribute to reports, data analysis and trend monitoring using database reporting.
• Identify issues, suggest solutions and support continuous improvement of events activity.

Role purpose

The Senior Challenge Fundraising Officer will lead the delivery and growth of APF’s third-party and mass participation challenge events portfolio.

This role exists to significantly grow income and participation by managing end-to-end third-party challenge events, developing community-facing charity-owned fundraising products and delivering excellent supporter stewardship

Working closely with the Head of Fundraising and colleagues across Communications, Services and the Operations Team, you will increase recruitment, empower supporters to raise ambitious funds, and create journeys that encourage long-term engagement with APF.

Success in this role means more people fundraising for APF, raising more income and feeling valued, supported and inspired to stay connected to our mission.

Key Responsibilities

1. Grow participation in third party

• Manage the full lifecycle of third-party and mass participation challenge events, from planning and recruitment through to stewardship and re engagement.
• Develop and execute creative marketing strategies to boost participation and attract new event participants.
• Draft engaging promotional content that inspires and engages our supporters in collaboration with the Communications team.
• Promote third-party events proactively across relevant channels and networks.
• Work with the wider Fundraising team to improve and refine the stewardship journey for challenge participants to maximise the participant experience.
• Identify and pursue opportunities to grow participation in new and existing events.
• Attend key events as required, managing on-the day logistics and volunteer coordination.

2.  Community Product Development

• Work with Head of Fundraising to shape and improve APF’s fundraising offer and remote products.
• Test and refine new fundraising concepts that increase accessibility and broaden participation.
• Work collaboratively across teams to ensure our community fundraising products align with wider campaigns and strategic priorities.

3.  Income growth and fundraiser mpowerment

• Inspire participants to achieve ambitious fundraising targets through engaging, creative communications.
• Develop and enhance fundraising materials, including participant packs and digital resources to support our fundraisers.
• Use insight and sector trends to identify opportunities to boost event visibility and maximise fundraising efforts.
• Monitor fundraising performance to ensure we’re meeting targets and delivering strong ROI on our challenge activities.

4. Stewardship and re-engagement

• Foster personal connections with supporters through thoughtful, tailored stewardship that keeps them engaged and feeling valued.
• Create clear re-engagement plans to encourage repeat participation and long-term loyalty.
• Collaborate with wider Fundraising and Services teams to support acquisition and ensure our supporters have a smooth, high-quality supporter journey.
• Represent APF publicly when required, acting as a confident ambassador for the charity at events and in public settings.

5. Data, insight and compliance

• Support on the management of CRM data to enable accurate segmentation, performance tracking and reporting.
• Monitor recruitment, participation, income and ROI to help inform future planning and improvements.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge with GDPR regulations and compliance and ensure personal data is handled responsibly and securely.
• Work closely with the Governance and Operations Manager to ensure our fundraising activities are fully compliant with GDPR and the Code of Fundraising Practice.
