About the role

Due to growth and investment in the team, 3 exciting opportunities have arisen to join a lively, dynamic and driven fundraising events team. Over the last decade, Breast Cancer Now has built up a strong events function, with community fundraising and events currently accounting for nearly a quarter of the charity’s overall voluntary income.

We’re now looking for 3 events assistants to play a key role within the team. Supporting the delivery of our varied portfolio of challenge events, currently comprising of walking, running, cycling, swimming and trekking challenges. You’ll engage hundreds of fundraisers, acting as a first point of contact and an ambassador for the organisation to excite and retain our supporters. You’ll also have the opportunity to lead on your own project.

These roles play a vital part in the events team and are perfect for someone getting started in their fundraising career.

About you

We’re looking for 3 individuals with excellent attention to detail and a passion for charity fundraising. An understanding of and experience with administrative tasks such as data entry and working in a fast-paced environment is desirable.

You’ll be a first point of contact with hundreds of our supporters, many of whom will be in touch via email, phone or social media, so an understanding of using these channels and delivering customer service, particularly in the charity sector, is preferable. You should also have a demonstrable ability to work to deadlines and have experience working as part of a team.

Battersea is entering an exciting phase of innovation and transformation as we embark on our new five-year strategy. Our fundraising team bridges the journey of the animals in our care with the wider public, demonstrating how their contributions enable us to support every dog and cat.

This is a new role working across Battersea’s Philanthropy, Partnerships and Commercial (PP&C) fundraising team, to help drive income growth and maintain strong funder relationships.

The primary focus of your work will be prospect identification and qualification for an upcoming capital campaign. This will include new major donor prospects and charitable Trusts that support capital projects.
You will also be responsible for undertaking due diligence on individuals, corporations and trusts that are supporting Battersea in order to inform our colleagues about potential financial and reputational risks, empowering them to make informed decisions about our partnerships.
You will be an integral part of the capital campaign, managing the prospect pipelines, tracking prospects as they move through the cultivation cycle and supporting the fundraisers with their cultivation. You will also write and contribute to event biographies for our Special Event program during particularly busy periods.
You will ensure that all research output is compliant with GDPR and will share data protection expertise with other team members.

About the team

This is an exciting new role within our growing Corporate Development function, part of a 12-strong Corporate Fundraising team. The team has secured significant income growth over the past three years, and this position forms a key part of our strategy to increase high-value fundraising through proactive new business acquisition.

Hybrid Working

About you

You will be an energetic and strategic new business fundraiser with:

We’re looking for a youth worker to plan, deliver and facilitate educational and cultural activities to separated children (up to 21 years old) in the context of an interactive youth club held weekly in partnership with CARAS (Community Action for Refugees & Asylum Seekers) in South West London. Community Fundraising & Individual Giving Officer

Salary: £30,000–£32,000 FTE (depending on experience)

At Youth Concern, we create spaces where 13–25 year olds in Aylesbury Vale can feel safe, be real and be themselves. Through our Drop-in Centre, counselling, and homelessness prevention projects, we help young people overcome challenges and build brighter futures.

We’re a 46 year old charity with a strong local reputation, healthy reserves and ambitious plans to open a new Youth Hub. With the introduction of our Beacon CRM system, we’re ready to grow and diversify our income and we’re looking for a proactive fundraiser to help make that happen.

The role

This new role is ideal for a creative, relationship-led fundraiser who enjoys variety. You’ll lead on community fundraising and individual giving, strengthening supporter relationships, growing income, and delivering engaging campaigns and events.

You’ll work closely with our fundraising-experienced CEO, Finance & Communications Manager and volunteers, in a supportive environment where initiative is encouraged and micromanagement isn’t our style.

We are looking for an ambitious, passionate and confident individual to join our charity.  An integral role, you will provide operational, administrative, account management and customer service support and build and maintain long-term relationships with our charity supporters

To thrive in this role, you’ll need to be an ambitious individual, with the skills to work in a 
fast-paced environment. You’ll be required to:
• Manage accounts and registrations, successfully motivating and inspiring supporters 
to increase the charity’s total number of annual eventers. Responding to all inbound 
enquiries in a prompt and efficient manner.
• Work closely with the Challenge Events Manager to deliver flagship events such as the 
Great Run Series, overseeing up to three third-party events per year. 
• Monitor digital fundraising challenge participant groups, managing admin processes 
through GivePanel and JustGiving and coordinating with fulfilment partners to ensure 
supporters receive their fundraising packs on time.
• Support the wider public fundraising team with administration tasks such as dispatching 
fundraising materials, processing personal data, maintaining donor records on Salesforce 
and working with the Supporter Services Team to create, monitor, improve and 
automate excellent supporter care journeys.
• Plan and deliver risk assessments, logistics, income and expenditure, account 
reconciliation and evaluations to shape future recommendations and continuously 
improve effectiveness. 
• Attend supporter or charity-organised fundraising events, always acting as a proud and 
inspiring ambassador for the charity. 
• Build and maintain relationships with key supporters, utilising the Fundraising Hub to 
communicate information about the impact of the charity and the changing fundraising 
needs.
• Maximise all opportunities with supporters and potential fundraisers, using persuasive 
and motivational skills to drive support for the charity on a long-term basis.
• Lead on the creation of event content for the charity website and social media platforms 
with support from the wider events team and Marketing and Communications Team.
• Input into existing and future plans for data capture, making updates and additions 
to policies and procedures, being responsible for developing and meeting a range of 
performance KPIs.
• Support with key strategic projects to ensure the charity’s sustainable income growth 
and impact within the hospital

Lead Youth Development Worker

We have an exciting opportunity for a Lead Youth Development Worker to join our team. This role will lead and develop our youth work offer across the 4 villages area of North Bristol (Lawrence Weston, Shirehampton, Sea Mills and Avonmouth).

We’re looking for an individual who has a passion and flair for supporting young people, promoting a sense of inclusion and belonging. The right candidate will have experience of both targeted and open access provision and a desire to enable young people to promote their voice and views to shape the future of youth work in the area.

The successful post holder must have:

· Good standard of basic education, including English and Maths Level 2

· Level 3 or equivalent in youth work

· Experience of leading and developing youth programmes (both open access and targeted)

· Ability to build long lasting, positive relationships with both young people

Oasis is looking for a Community Hub Leader who can combine an entrepreneurial flair and excellent leadership skills to lead Oasis Hub Hobmoor through the next phase of its growth.

We are seeking an experienced Community Hub Leader who will bring fresh vision, take the community on the next stage of its journey together as a movement and bring innovation as well as stability to the charity, which has become an anchor, and a place called home for the local community.

The post holder will lead the local charity – which over the last 8 years has grown considerably, in terms of staffing, income and projects (including food pantry and café, football training and teams, a wide range of adult education, advice and support, an array of community classes and holiday provision).

Oasis Hub Hobmoor is a local charity situated in South Yardley, Birmingham, at the meeting point of three wards: Tyseley and Hay Mills, South Yardley, and Yardley West and Stetchford.

Our aim is to help create a local community where people of all ages and stages feel included, know they can contribute, and realise a deep sense of belonging. We are actively engaged in creating a community that is characterised by trust, safety, and opportunity.

Key responsibilities

This is a key role as you will be responsible for strategic oversight of the local charity, ensuring the youth and community work supports the work of the academy, working alongside other local Oasis leaders such as the Academy Principal, volunteers and members of the local community to develop a joined up local vision for the community.

Some of the specific duties of this role include:

· Establishment and coordination of a range of provision such as family support, holiday clubs, volunteering and community empowerment projects.

· Maintaining and building supportive working partnerships across the community and various groups.

· Leading strategic development (e.g. comms, income generation, MEL).

· Planning, resourcing and coordinating the community plan, measuring impact.

· Strengthening the local Oasis Movement.

About you

This is very much a relational and project management role. As such, the successful applicant will need to demonstrate:

· A strategic mindset, and experience of leading community delivery and growing projects.

· Innovative use of resources and budget management to maximise funding, with a track record of securing income.

· A thorough knowledge and understanding community work.

· An education to degree level or equivalent and /or relevant professional qualification.

 We have a unique opportunity to join Oasis Hub Lord’s Hill as part of our work with students and families. This role will create a real impact in the Lord’s Hill Community by working alongside our Academy colleagues to support Oasis students and the wider community. Helping more young people to engage with support and provision, including the therapeutic space of our city farm. 

We’re looking for an individual who has a passion for supporting young people and compassion for all to take on this exciting role. You’ll need to be an effective communicator and ready to work with some of our hardest to reach families with drive and initiative. Best of all, you’ll be supported by a thriving team of people who are dedicated to supporting families and young people in our community, city farm and academy.

The successful post holder must have:

· Experience of youth work either as a volunteer or professionally

· Experience of managing and working with volunteers

· Good project management skills, able to balance a range of priorities.
