We are looking for an experienced person to join WellChild as a Digital Trustee. They will be a trusted advisor to the Board and a supportive, critical friend to the Senior Management Team (SMT), helping WellChild navigate the evolving digital landscape.

Purpose of the role:

The Digital Trustee will advise on the use of AI and digital technologies to build internal capability and efficiency, improve service design, enhance data-driven decision-making, and expand our fundraising and communications impact. They will play a vital role in shaping WellChild’s digital and AI roadmap. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of strategic insight, ethical awareness, and hands-on digital experience, along with a strong network of digital professionals. They will be a trusted advisor to the Board and a supportive, critical friend to the Senior Management Team (SMT), helping WellChild navigate the evolving digital landscape.

What are we looking for?

We're looking for enthusiastic, creative, and organised people from Cornwall, to become Community Fundraising Volunteers. With around 90% of our income coming from our amazing supporters, we simply couldn't do what we do without them. That's why our community fundraising volunteers are at the heart of our mission - bringing people together to raise vital funds that help protect children and prevent cruelty and abuse.

What will you be doing?

Volunteering in this role will mean you become a valued member of our local community fundraising team. You will engage with the public, local organisations, and your community, and raise awareness of our vital cause. The role will involve attending events, helping us out with spreading the NSPCC's messages across the area, raising funds and just proudly representing the NSPCC and what we stand for. There is plenty of opportunity to make the role your own and support us in a way that works for you!

How regular is the volunteering?

This role is a flexible, 'as and when' volunteering opportunity with no regular time commitment required! We understand that life comes first, which is why this role can easily fit around you and your schedule. A commitment of a couple of hours a month is all we ask for, but if you would like to do more then we would love that too, and there are always plenty of ways to get involved!

What will you get from the role?

In this role, we'll support you with advice, skills and tools to help you raise funds for and awareness of the NSPCC. You'll learn more about how you're helping to protect children across the UK, and of course you will have the opportunity to grow your skills and confidence within fundraising and charity work. We’re looking for a detail-oriented and strategic SEO Specialist Volunteer to help optimise our online presence and ensure our campaigns and content reach the communities that need them most.

Job Summary

The SEO Specialist Volunteer will play a key role in enhancing the visibility and searchability of Trans Celebration’s website and digital content. This volunteer will work alongside the marketing team to implement SEO best practices, conduct keyword research, improve site structure, and analyse web performance—all to ensure our content reaches a broader audience and amplifies trans voices online.

Key Responsibilities

· Conduct keyword research to inform website content and campaign strategies.

· Optimise existing content for improved search engine ranking (meta tags, headers, alt text, etc.).

What We’re Looking For

Skills & Competencies:

If you enjoy driving and would love to use those skills to help our cats, this could be the role for you. Our transport volunteers provide vital assistance to our teams and volunteer groups in the local area by transporting equipment, litter, food – and even cats! They have the essential role of connecting our network of volunteers, sites, vets and supporters.

The Say Aphasia charity provides support groups across the UK for people with aphasia; a language and communication disability caused by a brain injury like a stroke. Aphasia affects over 350,000 people in the UK but is little understood or known about by the public. It is the only aphasia charity set up by people with aphasia for people with aphasia; helping them to adapt to their new way of life and regain their independence and confidence.

Aphasia occurs due to injury to the brain such as a stroke. It affects access to language, resulting in difficulties following conversations, speaking, reading and writing.

Volunteers will support the running of the group with communicating, and will have the opportunity to utilise their communication skills and IT knowledge to take a register of attendance.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and support to individuals, particularly those living with asphasia.
• Assist in organising activities that promote social interaction and engagement.
• Communicate effectively with participants, ensuring their needs are understood and met.
• Help maintain a safe and welcoming environment for all participants.
• Collaborate with other volunteers to enhance the group.

Qualifications

• An understanding or knowledge in aphasia is desirable but not essential (training will be given)
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse groups.
• Proficiency in IT, including familiarity with common software applications.
• A compassionate and patient attitude towards individuals in need of support.

Our Independent Visitor Volunteers provide consistent and supportive relationships to children ad young people in care, offering emotional support, companionship, and guidance through shared activities and time together.  The Independent Visitor plays a vital role in helping the young people build confidence and feel secure while enhancing their personal, social, and cultural development.

As an Independent Visitor Volunteer in England, you might:

• support the child/young person to experience enriching activities that contribute to their personal and cultural development

• engage in activities such as pursuing hobbies, meeting for meals, or socialising in a community setting

• listen to and support the young person, fostering a sense of safety and trust

• help the young person develop social skills and increase their involvement in their community

Thousands of cats each year rely on the help of animal charities because they have been abandoned, they have strayed or because there has been a change in their owner’s circumstances. Becoming an administration volunteer is just one way you can help improve the lives of cats in your local community. Our administration volunteers help provide vital admin support to our volunteer groups and teams across Cats Protection. They help keep up to date records of the number of cats that have been rehomed, collate supporter details and send out newsletters. This could be the perfect volunteer role if you have administrative experience, a passion for cats, or both!
