Future FoundHERs is a podcast-led movement building bold, honest conversations around women in tech, cyber, and leadership. We spotlight underrepresented stories, challenge outdated norms, and grow an audience through real talk, community, and purpose-led content. Now entering an exciting new growth phase, we’re looking for someone to own our social and digital engagement and help take our message further.
About the Role
We’re looking for a creative, proactive volunteer to manage and grow our presence across Instagram, LinkedIn, and TikTok. You’ll take the lead on crafting and executing a content strategy that builds awareness, engages early-career audiences, and amplifies the amazing work we’re already doing through our podcast and newsletter.
We’re flexible on title Head of Engagement, Social Media Lead, Community Growth Manager you tell us what feels right. What matters is that you’re excited to:

Manage our social accounts consistently

Post meaningful, on-brand content (you can use past podcast clips, quotes, newsletter prompts, etc.)

Volunteer Opportunity: Communications & Social Media Volunteer
Are you a social media wizard with a passion for storytelling? Do you know how to craft engaging content that inspires action and amplifies a message?
Urban Youth is a new youth work charity being established to provide engaging youth work activities, offer positive mentorship, and create safe spaces where young people can thrive and reach their full potential in London. We're currently in the crucial setup phase, and we need your help to connect with our audience and build a vibrant online presence.
We're looking for a dedicated Volunteer for Communications & Social Media to help us spread our reach, attract young people to our programmes, and encourage vital support through donations and volunteering. This is a unique chance to be involved from the very beginning, directly influencing our public voice and impact.
What will you do?
In this pivotal role, you'll help us tell the Urban Youth story and engage our community online.
Your responsibilities will include:

Content Creation: Developing engaging social media posts, stories, and visuals (graphics, short videos) for platforms like Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and X (Twitter).

Audience Engagement: Helping to manage our social media channels, responding to comments, and fostering a positive online community.

Campaign Support: Assisting with the creation and execution of digital campaigns to recruit young people for our programmes, encourage volunteering, and drive donations.

Website & Newsletter Support: Contributing to basic website updates or helping to draft content for initial newsletters and email communications.

Strategy Input: Providing ideas and insights into our overall communications and social media strategy to maximise our reach and impact.
Who are we looking for?
We need someone who is not only passionate about empowering young people but also brings practical skills and creativity in digital communications.
You should be:

Social Media Savvy: Experienced with various social media platforms and understand what makes content engaging.

Creative Thinker: Able to generate fresh ideas for content and campaigns.

Strong Communicator: Excellent written communication skills; able to craft clear, concise, and compelling messages.

Detail-Oriented: Able to maintain brand consistency and accuracy in all communications.

Proactive & Reliable: Someone who can take initiative and manage tasks independently.

Committed: Willing to dedicate a few hours a week (flexible, can often be done remotely) to help us build Urban Youth from the ground up. Experience with graphic design tools (like Canva) or video editing is a bonus!
This is a voluntary, unremunerated role, but it offers invaluable experience in charity communications, digital marketing, and the immense satisfaction of directly enabling a new organisation to make a profound difference in countless young lives.

Your internship role within Concordis will be shaped by what is happening on Concordis programmes during the six months you spend with the organisation and by your interests, experience and abilities. As a team, we rely on each member to contribute their skills to our work and we will look to make the most of what you have to offer, while at the same time giving you opportunities to develop new skills and to challenge yourself.
You may be asked to carry out research and analysis into countries in which we are active, guided by our research managers and following our research methodology. Your role may include assisting with the development of project proposals, monitoring international news outlets and researching potential new project areas. You may be asked to help with monitoring and evaluating our programmes, working with the programme managers and programme officers to understand and capture results from our programme activities.
You may also be required to give practical, logistical and administrative support to the programme team to which you are allocated, including helping to set up data collection systems, analysing the data collected, preparing and sharing reports, liaising with project partners, preparing for dialogue or training sessions, translating peacebuilding material and taking notes at internal and external meetings.
You will attend team meetings and programme update meetings where you will hear from the Director of Programmes and other members of the programme teams, giving you the chance to understand what is happening on the programmes and to ask questions about any aspect of peacebuilding.
You will be asked to research sources of funding and may be involved in drafting applications for funding, including generating ideas for new programmes that meet the needs of communities and donors.
You may be required to attend external meetings, seminars and conferences and to contribute to website and social media content. You will be given opportunities and time to attend virtual training on peacebuilding and related topics. You will be asked to be part of the Security Monitoring rota whereby we take turns to track the movements of the in-field staff. This does include occasional essential weekend working.
You may also be asked to assist with HR processes such as evaluating applicant CVs and be given the opportunity to attend interviews as an observer/interviewer.
The internships are designed to give you concrete experience in research, programme management and funding within the international development sector.
The role will require you to work virtually with our UK team, with programme teams in one or more of the countries in which Concordis operates and with your fellow interns. If you live in or are visiting London, we will be delighted to welcome you to join some team meetings in person.
