Description

You should be an experienced and talented video editor/content creator.

This is an opportunity to boost your portfolio and build a very high profile network for furthering your career, gain visibility and also be associated with the world' biggest UN Global Goals initiative of its kind.

The editor will

• Create short intro and ending animations/transitions for the festival's SM and screenings
• Edit the interviews (Zoom/Teams) and additional footage/still to create social media ready files for YT, LI, FB, TW and IG
• Add subtitles and captions as needed for the videos
• You would need to have your own professional equipment and software and a camera and lights (if you are also a videographer - preferred, not mandatory)
• A committed and meticulous person, passionate about making the world a more sustainable, safer and peaceful place
• Proven experience (3 or more years) of hands-on experience with editing softwares (Adobe After Effects or Final Cut Pro X or Avid Media Composer  or Lightworks and Premier etc)
• Can create dynamic and impactful content for different social media channels
• Capacity to work to tight deadlines
• Experience working to a specification
• Accuracy and attention to detail 
• Understands the resource constraints of a not for profit and is able to work with those

Social Trustee

The Trust is seeking an exceptional individual to join the Social Committee of the Board. The successful candidate will bring senior experience, ideally at board level, of  service delivery and/or service evaluation in the social justice, social care and related fields.

The Sir Halley Stewart Trust is a grant-making charity that awards around £1million per year to innovative research and development projects in the medical, religious and social fields. The focus of the Trust’s work is the prevention of human suffering and distress, both in the UK and overseas.

The Trustee Board is comprised of specialists in the Trust’s fields of interest as well as direct descendants of the founder, the pioneering industrialist and philanthropist Sir Halley Stewart.   

The Social committee awards grants that are either practical on-the-ground projects (development projects) or focussed on the practical impact of research findings (research projects), which attempt to:

· Prevent and resolve conflict, promote reconciliation, encourage re-connection between family members.

· Help people to ‘move beyond disadvantage’.

· Help people who may be vulnerable and/or have been exploited.

Recent grants under the social theme have covered housing, modern slavery, asylum and refugees, LGBTQ+, work insecurity, disabilities, the criminal justice system, care leavers, youth services, and loneliness.

The Trust values diversity on the Board of Trustees and makes appointment decisions based on an individual’s experience, qualifications, merits and the needs of the Trust.

Cord is seeking to appoint two trustees to strengthen our current capacity and ideally bring some complementary skills to the way we govern.

Being a trustee is a valuable role. Together, the Board of Trustees provides the oversight and accountability necessary to ensure that Cord implements its strategy in line with our values, and complies with the requirements of the Charity Commission.  

We do not require trustees to have prior Board experience and are open to seeking trustees with a variety of skills and experiences. At this time, we particularly welcome applications from those with skills/experience in charity fundraising (either public or trusts/major donors or institutional), and legal/charity governance.

We are interested in hearing from individuals who not only share our Christian values but have an active Christian faith. We celebrate difference in all its interpretations, and applications are actively encouraged from individuals from diverse backgrounds, in particular, those who reflect and represent the communities we work in.

Trustees are invited to serve on the Board for a three-year period, at the end of which they are eligible for re-election, up to a maximum of three three-year term limits. Applicants will be based in the UK or be able to commit to in-person UK meetings. Board membership is not a remunerated position, but reasonable travel expenses will be reimbursed.

Applicants will need to be able to commit their time to four Board meetings (two in-person and two online) and attend three 90 minute online meetings per year in the evenings.

We are a completely volunteer-run cafe library, community space, and organization providing our local community with increased access to education, resources and art that is reflective of underrepresented cultures and identities. We are based right outside of Boston in North Quincy, Massachusetts!

We hope to foster a more inclusive, diverse, and safe community for those of underrepresented identities and cultures. With the rise of AAPI hate crimes since the beginning of COVID, we create a safe space for our AAPI and ally communities.

We are a 501c3 non-profit cafe library located in Quincy, MA. We aim to provide our surrounding community with increased access to education, resources, & art that is reflective of underrepresented cultures and identities. We have a focus on the Asian-American & Pacific Islander (AAPI) community, but provide a safe space for individuals of all backgrounds & identities to find safety and solace in.

We are always looking for volunteers across all sectors from baristas to engineers to marketing managers! You are always welcome to contribute as much or as little as you have the time for. If you're interested please don't hesitate to reach out. :)

Across the UK, our 270 local groups play a vital part in supporting people affected by MS. They provide sense of belonging, unity and friendship. And they deliver services and support for their local MS community.

We are looking to recruit a Group Coordinator for our Spelthorne, Staines and District group. As our local Group Coordinator you’ll take the lead in making sure your local group works as effectively as possible. You’ll recruit, induct and support other group volunteers to make sure your group’s activities meet the needs of your local MS community. In this role you’ll be able to develop your leadership, management, communication, organisation and motivation skills. 

Time Commitment

We estimate this role will need around 5 hours a week. Our roles are flexible and aim to fit around you. Time commitments for this role may vary depending on your activities. This is an ongoing role.

This is a great opportunity to gain experience within a large charity and develop your existing skills and learn new ones. We need you to get involved and help make positive changes to the lives of people affected by MS.

About you

You’ll have an interest in the MS Society and the work that we do, as well as the enthusiasm to represent both us and our values locally. You will understand the needs of people affected by MS in your area and be sympathetic to the needs and motivations of volunteers. You’ll be confident using Microsoft Office, the internet and email. You’ll be able to apply disability, equality and inclusion practices and understand and apply our risk management system. Ideally you’ll understand the local area and organisations that provide local services.

You will be reliable and easy to contact and you need to live in or near the Spelthorne, Staines and District area to carry out this role.

Director of Technology

Volunteer Role Description (remote, unpaid)

This role would be a great chance for someone looking for director-like experience in the technical space! Open to techies of all experiences, you are welcome to commit as much or as little time as needed.

• Manage Google Admin Workspace, create emails for volunteers and manage groups

The Young Producers programme at English Heritage could be for you! 

We are looking for young people aged 18-24 to join our Young Producers from June 2025.

Our Young Producers are at the heart of English Heritage’s youth participation work. Their ideas, creativity and interests help steer and shape the programme and support other areas of English Heritage activity too. 

As a Young Producer you will: 

• Have your voice heard and influence change at English Heritage 

• Join our monthly meetings where you can meet other young people and contribute to decision making within English Heritage 

• Have the opportunity to take part in various projects – recent ones have included LGBTQ+ History, Black History, heritage careers and improving visitor experience for young people 

• Meet heritage professionals and make connections 

• Gain experience that is useful in a variety of sectors and workplaces, from research skills and public speaking to written communication and content creation

The role

We are looking for individuals who share our commitment to improving animal health to join our Board as lay trustees. Lay trustees (ie, trustees who are not vets or vet nurses) play a crucial role in ensuring that the Board benefits from a diverse range of perspectives and skills. 

We are particularly seeking people who have experience of: 

• Fundraising and/or leadership in the charity sector, or 

• Business development and entrepreneurship, or 

• Commercial leadership experience, with a strong understanding of business operations and strategic management, or 

• Quality Improvement in human healthcare

This is a voluntary position, offering a unique opportunity to contribute to the strategic direction and governance of a dynamic charity.

Key responsibilities 

• Attend and actively participate in three Board meetings each year and additional committee meetings as required. 

• Provide independent oversight and constructive challenge to the Board’s decision-making processes. 

• Ensure the charity adheres to its mission, values and legal obligations.
