Description

RNIB Talking Books has been a much-loved service for 90 years. As part of the library collections team you will enable more blind and partially sighted people around the world to enjoy greater access to RNIB Talking Books.

In this role you will be supporting the Library Collections Team with the digital management, downloading, transferring and accurate recording of talking books and other digital collection materials.
You will help with the following:
Ensure digital records are accurate and up to date;
Identify and resolve basic issues if they arise;
Carry out quality checks to ensure digital collection records are up to date and accurate;
Liaise with colleagues in the library service and support the team;
You will also gain experience in an office setting and be part of a team.

How often will I be needed?

  • 3 Hours per Week

  • 1 reference

Minimum age

  • You must be at least 16 years old to apply

What skills and experience are needed?

  • Good digital and IT Skills
  • Ability to download, transfer and organise computer systems and internal databases
  • Good attention to detail and ability to spot errors or inconsistencies
  • Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively to a team. Please note that access to your own computer is needed for this role.
