Job description

Focus of the role:

  • Champion the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the JCI Active Citizens Framework (ACF) to identify key problems and solutions to impact the London community.

Key Actions:

  • Identify the key needs of the London community and develop a strategy for high-impact community projects 

  • Network with external organisations in London (e.g. other NGOs, Linkup London) to seek out projects and collaboration opportunities for the chamber 

  • Support the planning and delivery of the 2027 London’s Ten Outstanding Young Persons (TOYP) campaign 

  • Lead the Active Citizen Experience (ACE) initiative for JCI London – logging and recognising voluntary hours undertaken by members within and external to JCI 

  • Provide consulting to project managers with their community initiatives 

 

 Skills you will develop:

  • Networking and relationship management

  • Community engagement 

  • Project management 

  • Communication and public speaking 

Time Commitment:

  • Commitment period: 1 January 2027 – 31 December 2027

  • Monthly Board Meeting (Approx. 1-1.5 hours)

  • Monthly Membership Gathering

Recognition following one year of service

To be eligible for recognition, you will need to:

  • Attend at least 80% of Board Meetings

  • Attend at least 80% of Membership Gatherings

  • Make a satisfactory contribution to JCI London

If you meet these criteria, you’ll receive:

  • A token of appreciation

  • A recommendation from the 2027 JCI London President for your LinkedIn profile

What are we looking for?

We are looking for someone who genuinely gets joy from giving back/volunteering, has a positive go getter attitude and is passionate about leadership development and community engagement! But also someone who is looking for a safe place where to grow or practise their skills with awesome projects/events!

Ideally, you also will live in London.
