You will organise high quality training for our volunteers to make sure that they maintain their skills in order to provide up to date care and first aid education. You do not need to have existing experience of providing training or education. You will be able to work towards gaining a training qualification.
25 hours per month Attendance at Network meetings which happen every other week. Attendance at Network Leadership Meeting which happens once a month.
Volunteers would be expected to attend training for the role both online and in person, to attend regularly network weekly meetings to enable them to keep their skills up to date.

Would you like to make a difference to the lives of blind and partially sighted people by supporting the RNIB Enterprises Team in a varied business sales admin role? Do you live in or close to Peterborough?
We're looking for a volunteer to help us with:
• Compiling contacts list of potential new business customers.
• Reaching out to new potential business customers.
• Calling/setting up meetings/calls with sales managers.
• Emailing outreach information/updates.
• Supporting with the administration of competition updates, and customer satisfaction surveys to better understand our customer base.
We're looking for volunteers who are available sometime during weekdays, ideally on a Thursday but this is flexible and a different day may be possible, for either a full day or a couple of half days a week.
This role is based within RNIB’s Peterborough office but there is also the option to volunteer remotely from home.

We have an exciting opportunity to welcome two Volunteer Counsellors to join our Family Services Team.
We are looking for individuals with experience in bereavement, life-limiting illness, healthcare, or ideally a background in palliative care. The role involves supporting clients aged 16 and over, individuals and (where appropriately qualified) couples. Counsellors will manage a caseload of 4–6 clients, offering weekly sessions over one day per week.
You will be responsible for managing your own caseload, typically providing up to 12 weekly sessions per client, with the option to extend short-term support where needed. All sessions will take place at the hospice.
Applicants should hold a minimum Level 4 counselling qualification (Level 5 preferred) and be registered with the BACP or a similar professional and ethical body.
In return, we offer a supportive and welcoming environment, with access to regular internal group supervision sessions, held fortnightly or monthly depending on preference.

We are looking for a friendly, patient and kind volunteer befriender to visit a gentleman with a calm soul, in Ickenham. Spending time together might involve sitting in the garden or in his flat, perhaps looking at pictures or magazines of trains, which he is particularly fond of, or going for small walks in the local community joined by one of his carers. We offer a lifelong befriending service for adults with learning disabilities. Matching the skills and interests of passionate visitors with the specific hobbies and interests of the people we visit. Loneliness and isolation can have devastating effects on a person’s mental and physical health. We are a registered charity providing a pathway of support to alleviate the hurt and distress, and the impact on mental and physical health, caused by loneliness and social isolation.
We are seeking Volunteer Drivers, to provide transport in their own vehicle, bringing Friends (people who use our services) to and returning them home from an Archway supportive social group. Occasionally we organise Archway Fundraising activities or events where may be asked to provide transport to an Archway Fundraising activity or event. Some Archway Friends (people who use our services) are unable to attend a supportive social group independently, mainly due to physical barriers to public transport. Transport delivered by volunteers enables Friends to access the supportive social group, in turn alleviating loneliness. The groups may be the only opportunity for Friends to meet with others. Each Friend is invited to one group per month either in Oxford or Abingdon so transport volunteers usually offer one trip per month or more if they like.
We ask volunteers to think of this as a longer term volunteer role due to the training and time we take in order to give our volunteers, and Friends, the very best service. You will also need to consider occasional time spent in training for your role and for continuous development.
