We are seeking two voluntary trustees to join our exceptional Board of trustees: One with professional experience in Safeguarding and one with professional experience within the Violence Against Women and Girls sector, or closely aligned areas.

You do not need previous trustee experience as we provide a full induction and ongoing training. This is a unique chance to apply your expertise at strategic level, playing a pivotal role in ensuring we continue delivering high-quality, trauma-informed services, championing the welfare of vulnerable families, and shaping supportive policies that protect children and strengthen communities.

PACT (Parents and Children Together) has been building and strengthening families since 1911 through outstanding adoption services and specialist therapeutic and trauma informed support services across Reading, the Thames Valley, and southern England. As one of the UK’s leading voluntary adoption agencies, we place children with loving, permanent families (over 81 placements last year) and offer lifelong specialist support through services like our Strengthening Families Team, CATCH and Adopter Champions. Alongside our adoption service provision, we empower women facing multiple disadvantages through our Alana House women’s centre and help children and their non-abusing parents recover from trauma via our Bounce Back 4 Kids programme.

Who we are looking for

These trustee roles are voluntary positions that are home-based with occasional travel to our Reading head office for in person board meetings or to collaborate with PACT colleagues relevant to your lead role (reasonable expenses covered) and support for our events. The time commitment is around one day per month, including quarterly Board meetings and input into wider charity matters. We aim to be flexible and will make adjustments where we can support accessibility and your availability.

For the Safeguarding Lead Trustee role, we would welcome applications from interested individuals who have current strong understanding and experience of safeguarding legislation, especially in children’s social care.

For the Violence Against Women and Girls Trustee role, we are looking for individuals with demonstrable experience of working in this sector, or in closely aligned areas (e.g. domestic abuse, sexual violence, women in the criminal justice system, safeguarding, trauma informed services). You will have a strong understanding of the policy, commissioning and funding landscape relating to this field.

What Will You Do?

As Lead Grants and Foundations, you will:

• Fundraising strategy: Design and implement a comprehensive strategy for identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding foundation, corporate, and government grant prospects.

• Grant writing and management: Oversee the entire grants lifecycle, from researching funding opportunities and writing compelling proposals to managing awards, ensuring compliance, and submitting reports.

• Team leadership: Lead and mentor a team of grants professionals, such as grants managers and coordinators, to meet or exceed annual funding goals.

• Relationship management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with foundation program officers and other institutional funders. Serve as the primary point of contact for major funders.

• Cross-departmental collaboration: Work closely with finance, programs, and leadership to develop grant budgets, gather data for proposals, and ensure funded projects are implemented successfully.

• Compliance and reporting: Ensure the organization adheres to all grant requirements, including financial and programmatic reporting, and prepares for audits.

• Role Purpose:

Help grow the sanctuary's network of supporters by building relationships with businesses, brands, media, influencers, and community organizations to increase awareness, secure donations, sponsorships, and create partnership opportunities that support dog rescue and adoption efforts.

Responsibilities

• Research and identify potential corporate partners, sponsors, and donors
• Reach out to local and international businesses
• Develop sponsorship and fundraising opportunities

Role Summary.

Creators with Purpose is Roots Academy's community of Muslim student content creators - a hand-picked group of relatable, authentic voices using their platforms to reach and uplift Muslim students across the country.

To grow and sustain it, we're looking for a Community Manager to be the heartbeat of this community. You'll onboard new creators, run our content calendar and review process, and keep a thriving group of creators supported, inspired and consistently producing content that reaches the exact audience we exist to serve. This is a relationship-first role for someone who loves bringing people together around a shared mission.

Key tasks

• Community management - Own and energise our creator community keeping it warm, active and supportive; welcome new creators, spark introductions, and encourage creators to learn from and uplift one another.

• Onboarding - Identify and reach out to potential creators, run friendly 1-2-1 welcome calls, share the vision and welcome pack, and bring new creators into the fold with as low a barrier to entry as possible.

• Content coordination - Run the content calendar end-to-end: agree each creator's posting frequency and dates, keep the Notion tracker current.

• Creative support - Keep creators inspired with prompts, content ideas and themed series (e.g. Freshers, exam season), and offer tailored concepts to those who want them while protecting each creator's own style and voice.

• Mentorship & belonging - Coordinate regular calls with the team, and help every creator feel like a genuine part of Team Roots.

• Tracking & reporting - Track creator output and reach, monitor how creators are driving students toward Roots workshops, and report progress and feedback.

Summary of Role

The Volunteer Director of Individual Giving at Solution Community plays a key role in strengthening Solution’s financial sustainability by developing, implementing, and managing strategies to cultivate, solicit, and steward individual donors. This role is responsible for growing our annual giving program and building lasting relationships with our supporters, directly impacting our ability to achieve our mission. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced fundraising professional to contribute their expertise and passion to a cause they believe in.

Key Responsibilities:

Annual Giving Program Management:

• Develop and execute comprehensive annual giving campaigns (e.g., year-end appeals, spring campaigns, monthly giving programs) across various channels (direct mail, email, social media, online).

• Set realistic fundraising goals for individual giving and track progress toward them.

• Analyze campaign performance and recommend adjustments to maximize impact.

• Identify opportunities to expand the donor base and increase donor retention rates.

Donor Cultivation and Stewardship:

• Identify, research, and qualify prospective individual donors.

• Develop and implement personalized cultivation and stewardship strategies to engage donors at all levels.

• Oversee timely and meaningful donor acknowledgment and recognition.

• Act as a primary point of contact for a portfolio of key individual donors, building strong, lasting relationships.

Data Management and Reporting:

• Ensure accurate and up-to-date donor records in the organization's CRM system

• Generate reports on donor acquisition, retention, gift size, and overall individual giving performance.

• Utilize data to inform strategies and identify trends.

Strategy and Collaboration:

• Collaborate with the Development team and other leaders to align individual giving strategies with the organization's overall goals and fundraising priorities.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience (7+ years preferred) in individual donor fundraising, annual giving, or a related development role.

• Demonstrated success in developing and executing annual giving campaigns.

• Strong understanding of donor cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship best practices.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling fundraising appeals and donor communications.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with major donors, understand their motivations, and align their giving with our organizational mission.

Upcycle Africa is seeking a passionate and results-driven Digital Fundraising & Partnerships Officer to support our mission of empowering communities through sustainability, innovation, education, and social entrepreneurship. The volunteer will help identify funding opportunities, develop partnership strategies, engage potential donors, and support grant application processes.

Responsibilities

• Research and identify grant, sponsorship, and funding opportunities.
• Support proposal and concept note development.
• Build relationships with potential donors, foundations, and corporate partners.
• Assist in creating fundraising campaigns and donor engagement strategies.
• Maintain a database of potential partners and funding opportunities.
• Contribute to long-term resource mobilization plans.

Across the UK, our volunteer groups play a vital part in supporting people affected by MS, bringing people together and connecting our local MS communities.

As an Activities Volunteer, you’ll help our group deliver well organised activities and support everyone who takes part. Whether you’re serving refreshments or talking to people, you’ll help everyone feel welcome.

This role will help you develop your organisation, communication and team working skills.

What you’ll be doing:

• Assisting with setting up activities
• Supporting people who attend activities, including making and serving refreshments and helping people to access the event
• Helping to run events, including registering attendees and collecting any payments

Across the UK, our volunteer groups play a vital part in supporting people affected by MS, bringing people together and connecting our local MS communities.

As a Group Coordinator, you’ll take the lead in making sure your local group reaches out to people affected by MS.  The role is varied, and will enable you  to further develop your leadership, management, communication, organisation and motivation skills. 

What you’ll be doing: 

Co-ordinating your group   

• Leading other Coordinating Team volunteers to organise activities 
• Working with the Finance Volunteer and the Coordinating Team to agree, approve and monitor the group’s budget 
• Creating strong links with local MS Services andother MS Society groups, as well as local voluntary and community sector partners 
• Working with staff and volunteers to develop and monitor services or activities that meet the needs of the MS community 
• Ensuring group compliance with MS Society policies and practices 
• Leading the group to welcome all of the MS community Recruiting and supporting volunteers 
• Identifying group recruitment needs and advertising vacancies
• Shortlisting and interviewing applicants 
• Welcoming new volunteers and introducing them to the group.

• Responding to any concerns with volunteers at the earliest opportunity and liaising with staff

• Design and Defend: Architect and implement robust security frameworks, policies, and protocols that safeguard our infrastructure, applications, and user data.

• Identify and Mitigate Risks: Proactively assess vulnerabilities, conduct security audits, and lead threat modeling to prevent and respond to potential risks.

• Secure Development Practices: Embed security into the software development lifecycle, guiding teams on best practices such as secure coding, encryption, and authentication.

As our Lead Security Engineer, you will be the guardian of our digital ecosystem, designing and implementing secure systems that protect our platform, data, and global community. You will lead our security strategy, ensuring resilience, trust, and integrity across all technological initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Design and Defend: Architect and implement robust security frameworks, policies, and protocols that safeguard our infrastructure, applications, and user data.

• Identify and Mitigate Risks: Proactively assess vulnerabilities, conduct security audits, and lead threat modeling to prevent and respond to potential risks.

• Secure Development Practices: Embed security into the software development lifecycle, guiding teams on best practices such as secure coding, encryption, and authentication.

• Lead Incident Response: Establish and manage incident detection and response processes to ensure rapid resolution and continuous improvement.

• Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with engineering, product, and operations teams to ensure security is integrated into every layer of our platform.

• Educate and Empower: Mentor team members and raise security awareness across the organization, fostering a culture of shared responsibility.

Qualifications:

• Experienced Security Leaders: 7+ years of experience leading cybersecurity or information security, with a strong background in securing cloud-based systems and applications.

• Technical Experts: Possess deep knowledge of security principles, including network security, identity and access management, encryption, and vulnerability management.

• Strategic Thinkers: Able to balance security with usability and scalability, making thoughtful decisions in a fast-moving, mission-driven environment.

• Collaborative Communicators: Able to clearly explain complex security concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders across a global team.

Across the UK, our volunteer groups play a vital part in supporting people affected by MS, bringing people together and connecting our local MS communities.

As a Group Coordinator, you’ll take the lead in making sure your local group reaches out to people affected by MS.  The role is varied, and will enable you  to further develop your leadership, management, communication, organisation and motivation skills. 

What you’ll be doing: 

Co-ordinating your group   

• Leading other Coordinating Team volunteers to organise activities 
• Working with the Finance Volunteer and the Coordinating Team to agree, approve and monitor the group’s budget 
• Creating strong links with local MS Services andother MS Society groups, as well as local voluntary and community sector partners 
• Working with staff and volunteers to develop and monitor services or activities that meet the needs of the MS community 
• Ensuring group compliance with MS Society policies and practices 
• Leading the group to welcome all of the MS community Recruiting and supporting volunteers 
• Identifying group recruitment needs and advertising vacancies
• Shortlisting and interviewing applicants 
• Welcoming new volunteers and introducing them to the group. 
• Coordinating the ongoing support of group volunteers 
• Responding to any concerns with volunteers at the earliest opportunity and liaising with staff

About Obuyisi bw'Omu Initiative (OBI)

Obuyisi bw'Omu Initiative (OBI) is a youth-led nonprofit organization committed to creating lasting change in Uganda through mental health awareness, quality education, climate action, clean water and sanitation (WASH), and youth empowerment. We believe powerful stories inspire action, and we are looking for a creative volunteer to help amplify our impact through digital media.

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Digital Marketing & Video Content Volunteer to strengthen OBI's online presence by creating engaging digital campaigns and compelling video content. The ideal candidate is creative, self-motivated, and experienced in both digital marketing and video editing, with a passion for using storytelling to drive social impact.
This is a fully remote volunteer position offering the opportunity to contribute to meaningful community development while building an international nonprofit portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement digital marketing campaigns across multiple platforms.
• Create engaging social media content for Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, TikTok, and YouTube.
• Edit short-form and long-form videos highlighting OBI's programs, events, and impact stories.
• Design and schedule social media posts that increase engagement and visibility.
• Transform photos, interviews, and field footage into compelling stories.

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven experience in digital marketing or social media management.
• Strong video editing skills using software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, or similar.
• Experience creating short-form video content for Instagram Reels, TikTok, Facebook Reels, and YouTube Shorts.
• Basic graphic design skills using Canva or Adobe Creative Suite.
• Excellent written English communication skills.
• Strong storytelling and content creation abilities.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Passion for nonprofit work and community development.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with nonprofits or NGOs.
• Knowledge of social media analytics and content strategy.

The national charity for the Neighbourhood Watch Movement is seeking new trustees – could you be one of them?You’ve probably heard of us. You’ve probably seen Neighbourhood Watch signs. But you might be surprised at the range of work our volunteers carry out.

As the national umbrella organisation of the largest voluntary movement for crime prevention in England and Wales, we support people to prevent and reduce crime by coming together with their neighbours to create safer, stronger and active communities. We estimate that our 93,000 Neighbourhood watch Groups engage with over two million people in a spirit of local activism that can address the issues that often give rise to crime and anti-social behaviour and help prevent them from becoming more serious. In the past year we have partnered with the Suzy Lamplugh Trust to provide training on being an “active bystander” and our “Are You OK?” campaign that showed how to respond in the event of witnessing aggression aimed at women, racial minorities or LGBTQ+ people. During 2022/23 we also launched a Community Safety Charter which has been endorsed more than 2500 times by Police Forces, local authorities and many different public and commercial organisations as well as by individuals and local communities.

Neighbourhood Watch Network supports these activities through a small central team of dedicated staff, led by our Chief Executive. Our work is funded mostly by grants from government, trusts and foundations, and partnerships with businesses but we are also developing ways for individuals to contribute to our work.
