Role Summary

As the Fundraising Coordinator, you will be responsible for helping create and implementing strategies to fundraise from both existing and new sources (individuals, mosques, grants etc.) with the aim of securing the long-term financial stability of Roots Academy.

Key tasks

Fundraising Planning:

• Develop and execute comprehensive fundraising plans to achieve income goals.
• Identify potential new funding sources and opportunities for income generation.

Campaign Management:

• Plan and oversee fundraising campaigns and events, including direct appeals, online campaigns, and fundraising events at mosques.
• Coordinate with marketing and communications teams to develop compelling fundraising material.

Proposal Development:

• Research trusts, foundations and corporations for grant opportunities.
• Work with the team to develop proposals, supporting with grant writing when needed.

Budget Oversight:

• Work closely with the finance team to monitor fundraising budgets, expenditure, and financial projections.

Donor Relations:

• Support with Donor Communications in activities related to donor relationship management and stewardship.

• Experience in organising fundraising campaigns and events, including digital fundraising strategies
• Strong understanding of fundraising principles and techniques, including donor cultivation
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate the organisation’s mission and impact to diverse audiences

• Strong understanding of Islam and the Muslim Community

As a charity we can continue to help cats and kittens in need thanks to the donations we receive at fundraising events from generous members of the public. Our fundraising event helpers have the exciting and varied role of helping at local fundraising events - such as cakes sales, barn dances, quiz nights – and everything in between!

Volunteer Role: Marketing & Fundraising Campaign Specialist
Reports to: Service Manager.
Position: Volunteer.

About Say Aphasia
Say Aphasia is a charity supporting people living with aphasia—a language and
communication disability that can affect a person’s ability to speak, understand, read, or
write, often caused by stroke or brain injury. Our local support groups offer a safe,
welcoming environment where people with aphasia and their families can connect, share,
and support one another.

Role Overview
We are seeking a volunteer marketing expert to help design and deliver creative
marketing strategies that strengthen our fundraising campaigns. Your expertise will help
us reach new supporters, increase donations, and grow our impact.
This role is ideal for someone with experience in marketing, digital campaigns, brand
strategy, or fundraising communications who wants to apply their skills to a
meaningful cause.

Key Responsibilities

We have an opportunity for a volunteer based in our Salisbury office to support our busy supporter care/membership team. You will help the team to ensure our members and supporters receive the highest standards of care and an excellent experience.

What you will be doing

This dynamic opportunity could involve anything from answering supporter queries and letter stuffing, to updating supporter records, filing and researching.

Location – This role is based at Plantlife Head Office in Salisbury, Wiltshire, so we are looking for a volunteer who is based in or around Salisbury. Ideally, we would prefer someone who lives in close proximity to our office.

Time commitment – We are looking for someone who can volunteer one day per week with us in our Salisbury office, aiming to give 5 hours or more (Wednesday or Thursday).

Role Responsibilities

You can choose the areas that best suit your skills and interests. The role is flexible, and volunteers may opt to support one area or several.

1. Stock & Donations Management

• Sort donated items to ensure they are appropriate for sale or event use.
• Organise and manage stock ahead of upcoming events.
• Monitor stock levels and identify when outreach or additional donations are needed.

2. Event Support

• Attend fundraising events, engaging confidently with the public and sharing information about our work.
• Assist with setting up equipment and displays and help with packing away after events.
• Ensure stalls are well presented, welcoming, and visually engaging.
• Support sales of merchandise and the running of games/activities.
• Take photographs throughout the event for promotional use and reporting.
• Observe and record visitor numbers, engagement levels, and which stall features attract attention.
• (Optional) Act as a Stall Leader, taking the lead on the day to coordinate volunteers and ensure a smooth event.

3. Transport & Logistics

• Transport equipment, displays, and stock to and from event venues (using your own vehicle if appropriate).
• Help with stall setup upon arrival at the venue.

4. Admin Coordination

This is a key support role that helps keep the fundraising function organised and running smoothly.

• Booking events and completing relevant forms.
• Maintain a current contact list of volunteers.
• Manage and update volunteer availability rotas.
• Keep the fundraising project spreadsheet accurate and up to date.
• Update the “cat book” or event information pack ahead of each event.

What We’re Looking For

• Friendly, confident communicators who enjoy speaking with the public.
• Organised, reliable volunteers who can work both independently and as part of a team.
• Individuals happy to support practical tasks such as setting up stalls or sorting stock.
• Volunteers with basic administrative skills (for those taking on admin coordination).

Fundraising Volunteer

Challenge Adventure Group (“CAG” for short and the operating name of CAG Trust) is a voluntary youth organisation for Knowle, Dorridge and beyond aimed at boys aged 10 and above.

As our name suggests, we provide challenging, adventurous and fun activities and the D of E Award for young people in their leisure time. Taking part in fun experiential activities enables members to develop their physical and mental skills and capacities and reach their full potential of becoming positive, active and happy citizens.

Summary

CAG was formed in 2009 and became a charity, CAG Trust, in 2019. We are looking for an individual who embodies the spirit of CAG and continually keeps the integrity and goals of the organisation at the forefront of every decision that they make as part of their role.  Because we work in a self-funded way, we need new resources to keep our organisation alive and to be able to offer a wide range of outdoor activities to our members.

We are looking for a remote based or local volunteer who ideally has experience in grant / bid writing and / or experience of working with young people.  This is a very flexible role which can be carried out at home and in your free time.

Description

Responsibilities:

• Communicating and building relationships with current and potential donors.

• Organise established fundraising activities, such as our legendary CAG car wash. 

• Develop new and imaginative fundraising activities, many of which involve organising events to raise awareness of the charity and its activities e.g. giving talks to groups or seeking photo opportunities with the media. 

• Develop and coordinate web-based fundraising, online auctions and merchandise sales. 

• Manage all aspects of grant bids: research potential donors, establish requirements of the grant, create a bid (in conjunction with other CAG staff) that meets the terms and conditions of the grant, submit bid and implement successful bids, report progress where required back to grant givers.

• Oversee corporate fundraising, including employee giving and matched giving from employers. 

• Manage and update databases to record donor contact and preference information. 

• Write applications and mail-shots, using direct mailing to reach a range of potential and current donors. 

• Researching and contacting new sources of funding.

• Drafting proposals for projects, activities and equipment.

We're looking for someone with the following:

· Great people skills and the ability to bring out the best in others

· Excellent organisational skills

· The ability to prioritise and delegate

· An appreciation of the importance of handling money and charity resources responsibly

· Fine-tuned communication skills and a passion for engaging with people within your local community

· Basic IT skills to use Cats Protection systems - training and support can be provided

· Committee volunteers need to be aged 18+

Our fundraising team leaders usually spend three to four hours per week in this role, which is flexible and can be shared by more than one volunteer if needed.

About Lambeth Links

Lambeth Links is the LGBTQIA+ community forum for Lambeth. We bring together people who live, work and socialise in the borough to share information, support each other and speak with a stronger voice.

Lambeth has a long history of LGBTQIA+ activism and culture. From early campaigning groups and community organisations to major events, the borough has often been at the centre of change. Lambeth Links builds on that history and works with partners across the borough to improve life for LGBTQIA+ people in times of both need and celebration.

We are now in a new phase of growth following three year funding from the National Lottery Community Fund. This funding helps us strengthen our core work and widen our reach across the borough.

We are seeking to appoint 2 Trustees with expertise in one of the following areas:

• Fundraising and Income Generation 
• People and Volunteering

About the Fundraising and Income Generation Trustee role

You will lead on fundraising and income generation at Board level. You will help Lambeth Links secure and grow the resources it needs to deliver its plans in a sustainable way.

Experience and knowledge:

• Experience in fundraising, business development, partnerships or income generation.
• Understanding of at least one area of fundraising such as grants, corporate partnerships, events or individual giving.
• Experience of developing or reviewing funding proposals or business cases.

You will lead on people and volunteering at Board level. You will support safe, fair and inclusive approaches to staff and volunteer involvement as Lambeth Links grows.​​​​​

Experience and knowledge:

• Experience in HR, people management, organisational development or volunteer management.
• Understanding of fair and inclusive people practices in small or medium organisations.
• Experience of supporting managers or volunteers through change, growth or challenge.
