Our partner works globally to support local communities to safely document human rights abuses. Through its network and tools, the organisation enables citizen journalists to gather and share evidence that can drive accountability and change.

The Treasurer will sit on the Board as a Trustee and play a key role in overseeing the financial health of the organisation. Working closely with the Chair, CEO, Operations Director and finance lead, the Treasurer will support strong financial governance, provide strategic oversight, and help guide decision-making through clear financial insight. The role also involves chairing the Finance Committee, reviewing budgets and management accounts, advising on financial risks, and overseeing the audit process.

The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant or an experienced finance professional, with a good understanding of charity finance and governance. You will be comfortable operating at board level, able to provide constructive challenge, and confident explaining financial matters to non-financial stakeholders. A collaborative approach, sound judgement, and a genuine interest in the organisation’s mission are key.

This is a rewarding trustee opportunity with an estimated time commitment of around 5 to 6 hours per quarter, alongside some ad hoc support as needed, offering flexibility around when that time is given.

About The Connection at St Martin’s

No one should have to sleep rough on London’s streets and everyone should get the support they need to find a place to call home. 

This is an exciting time for The Connection.  Although rough sleeping is increasing on our streets, we believe we have the solutions.  To meet the growing need for our help, we need to secure more resources.  We are planning a new fundraising strategy so that we can save lives, work more closely with health services and get more people into long term accommodation.

About the Role

To achieve this, we are looking for more fundraising expertise at Board level.  We are looking for a senior fundraising professional to join our active and skilled board.  Ideally you are a Fundraising Director working in a successful medium to large charity, with strong knowledge of highly effective, innovative fundraising teams.  You will guide us to get the best from the resources we put in and steer further investment to support ambitious growth.

We have a particular interest in major donor and corporate fundraising as these are areas where we have the opportunities for growth.  We are also keen to build relationships with senior leaders at funder organisations and encourage them to act as ambassadors to promote our cause.

Across the UK, our volunteer groups play a vital part in supporting people affected by MS, bringing people together and connecting our local MS communities.

The Mulberry Centre is looking for opportunities to identify and apply for relevant grants, trust and foundations funding in a competitive market. Grant requests will be on average £500-£10,000 for specific services as well as core Centre costs. This Fundraising Volunteer (the role can be undertaken by one volunteer or split into two parts and shared) will work closely with the Fundraising and Engagement Team to help streamline the research and application process. The first part of the role is to research and check grants and trust funding lists and databases for current opportunities and deadlines for applications to determine which are relevant, where we meet the necessary criteria, and how quickly we need to apply. Across the UK, our local branches help disabled people live the lives they choose. Every year, our skilled volunteers respond to thousands of requests, designing and creating bespoke equipment free of charge.

As a Branch Organiser, you’ll play a key role in helping to make sure your local branch runs smoothly and effectively. You’ll recruit, welcome, and support volunteers, ensuring the team’s work meets the needs of disabled people in your area. You’ll bring motivation, leadership, and strong communication and organisational skills to the heart of your branch.

What the role involves

This is a varied role where local needs shape what you’ll be working on, but it often includes:

• Coordinating the activities of our local branch to undertake and meet the needs of referrals in your area
• Organising and chairing the branch meetings
• Leading the branch’s shared responsibility for planning and completing referrals
• Coordinating the recruitment, induction, and ongoing support of new local branch volunteers

What you’ll need for this role

Essential
• A love of being organised.
• Confidence in leading meetings.
• Ability to use Microsoft Office, the internet, and email.
• The ability to understand and follow internal and external policies and procedures.
• A commitment to keeping personal information safe.
• Willingness to follow REMAP’s policies, procedures, and values.
• Occasional availability to attend local events to promote the charity’s work.

Desirable

• Confidence communicating with a wide range of people.
• Ability to delegate tasks and motivate others.
• Enthusiasm for raising awareness of the charity locally.
• A willingness to develop new skills and experience. You’ll also be asked to complete our induction checklist.

Activities and Events Volunteer

About The Role

As an Activities and Events volunteer, you will play a vital role in assisting staff leading a variety of fun, interactive and nature-based activities aimed at family groups, especially children, and also helping with aspects of our adult-friendly walks and talk programme that runs throughout the year. 

Volunteers are an essential part of the WWT team. You’ll get a warm welcome, including information on training, equipment and anything else you need.

• Have a good ability and are happy to work as part of a friendly, busy team and on your own at times.
• Are willing to spend time outdoors in all weather conditions.

Unfortunately this role is not suitable for anyone Under 18.

Time commitment: Preferably one day a week over weekends, bank holidays and school holidays 9.30am – 4.30pm, including occasional early morning and evening activities. We will mutually agree the hours that you can contribute. These may vary from week to week and can be offered on a rota basis.
