As we prepare to launch The Lysene Cultural Foundation, we are seeking a dedicated volunteer Treasurer to join us at this formative moment and help establish the financial foundations of a new cultural charity.

The Lysene Cultural Foundation exists to advance public understanding of Renaissance, Beaux‑Arts, and classical artistic traditions. We believe that beauty is a public good, something that enriches lives, strengthens communities, and connects us to our shared cultural heritage. Inspired by the artistic world of the Principality of Lys, the Foundation brings this vision to the public through exhibitions, educational programmes, research, and artistic support.

As we build this new institution, we are looking for a Treasurer who can help ensure that our financial stewardship is as strong and elegant as the artistic traditions we champion.

About the Role

We are seeking a volunteer Treasurer who will:

• Lead on the financial setup of the Foundation, including early systems, processes, and reporting.

• Oversee financial governance, ensuring transparency, accountability, and compliance with charity regulations.

• Support the development of budgets, forecasts, and financial plans for our launch and early programmes.

• Work collaboratively with the Chair, trustees, and advisors.

• Dedicate approximately 4–8 hours per month, with full flexibility around schedule and involvement.

• Bring integrity, clarity, and a commitment to the responsible stewardship of charitable resources.

This is a unique opportunity to shape the financial architecture of a new cultural foundation from its earliest days.

Volunteering in our shops offers a variety of exciting tasks. From sorting, steaming, and pricing donations to spotting hidden gems, you'll roll up your sleeves in the backroom and assist on the shop floor. Engaging with customers is key, whether you're serving with a smile, working the till or helping donors complete Gift Aid forms.

Creating a warm, friendly and inviting space is just as important. You'll help design eye-catching window displays, keep the space tidy, and use your creativity to ensure everything looks its best, encouraging customers to return.

No special skills are needed as we’ll show you what to do, and we provide all the training you’ll need.

A great opportunity to play a role at an exciting stage of LRC’s growth!In 2025, the charity set-up a CRM system - after initial configuration, we now need a volunteer to help operationalise and is used optimally to achieve LRC’s goals.

In 2025, the charity set-up a CRM system using CiviPlus, a CRM system specific to the not-for-profit sector. We already have a technical volunteer who has helped with initial system configuration and can provide ongoing technical support.

The Lyme Resource Centre (LRC) is a charity with a mission to minimise risk of Lyme disease whilst enjoying the outdoors, by educating the public and healthcare professionals about ticks and Lyme disease. 

The charity has grown significantly over the past couple of years, and is now looking for volunteers to help with its next phase of evolution. 

YMCA Worcestershire is looking for enthusiastic and reliable Events Volunteers to support our fundraising activities throughout the year. Our events help raise vital funds to support young people across Worcestershire, providing safe accommodation, guidance, and opportunities to help them build brighter futures.

What you’ll do

As an Events Volunteer, you’ll have the chance to learn the ins and outs of fundraising events while supporting our team with things such as:

• Event set-up and pack-down

• Welcoming and supporting participants

• Helping with registration desks

• Assisting with activities and stalls

• Supporting fundraising activities on the day

• Creating a positive and welcoming atmosphere for attendees

Due to the nature of the role, we require all applicants to be aged 16 or over. You must have a UK address to volunteer with Sense.

Being a till volunteer includes all the same responsibilities as a shop volunteer, however, when you’re ready, we’ll provide you with additional training to:

• Serve customers on the till in a warm and friendly way.
• Put sales through the till, packing them and thanking the customer for shopping with us.
• Talk to customers about Gift Aid and other fundraising initiatives.

Margaret Green Animal Rescue (MGAR) is Dorset’s oldest and largest animal welfare charity, with rescue and rehoming centres across Dorset and Devon. We’re dedicated to providing the highest standards of care to unwanted, abandoned, and mistreated animals — and we’re now seeking a marketing and fundraising professional to join our Board of Trustees.

As we enter an exciting phase of strategic revitalisation, your specialist knowledge will help shape the future of our charity and ensure the animals we care for receive the very best support by optimising our marketing and fundraising activity, which is essential in funding this activity.

Why We Need You

We aim to have a range of professional backgrounds on our Board to ensure a robust and rounded experience in the Board room, as well as enabling us to support the CEO and Leadership team. We are looking to find a new Trustee with expertise in the marketing and fundraising arena who will support the Board and our marketing team in the following areas:

• Strategic input as we enter a period of significant transformation for the Charity
• Provide specialist challenge and support to the CEO and fundraising team, offering informed oversight on campaigns, investment decisions, and risk, ensuring the Board can govern income generation with confidence.
• Strengthen MGAR’s long‑term financial resilience by guiding the development of diverse, sustainable income streams and ensuring fundraising decisions are strategic, evidence‑based, and aligned with organisational priorities.
• Elevate MGAR’s public profile through sharper messaging, stronger brand visibility, and more impactful storytelling that deepens public understanding of the charity’s mission and increases supporter engagement.
• Grow and nurture MGAR’s supporter community by  ensuring we shape emotionally resonant campaigns, improve donor journeys, and help build long‑term relationships with individuals, partners, and local businesses.
• Enhance the Board’s overall capability by filling a critical skills gap, ensuring MGAR remains agile, relevant, and financially secure in a competitive and rapidly evolving charity landscape.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Attending Board meetings (6 per year, in Dorset/Devon) and occasional online sessions

As a maintenance (handyman) volunteer at SeeAbility, you will support the facility in maintaining a safe, functional, and pleasant environment for people we support and our teams.

This position requires a reliable, skilled, and proactive individual who can carry out general maintenance tasks and assist with small repairs around the property. Your efforts will directly contribute to the well-being of the people we support and ensure that the home remains a comfortable and secure place for all.

 Skills Required 

•   Perform general maintenance and minor repairs to the building and facilities, including but not limited to:  carpentry, painting, decorating and repairing

• Assist with the installation of furniture, fixtures, or equipment, ensuring they meet safety standards.

• Ensure that all tools and materials are properly maintained and stored safely.

• Help identify potential maintenance issues before they become problems.

• Report more complex repairs or safety concerns to the Facility Manager or Maintenance Supervisor.

• Support the care home during renovation or redecoration projects.

• Work collaboratively with other volunteers and staff to ensure the upkeep of the home.

• Would not be asked to carry out and electrical or plumping works

• Adhere to health and safety guidelines, ensuring all tasks are completed with care and in compliance with regulations

We're keen to hear from you if you'd like to share your experiences as a blind and partially sighted person and help build a world which understands the impact of living with sight loss.

In this role, you will be:

• Delivering talks to groups of sighted people about your lived experience of sight loss to challenge their perceptions and behaviours. Audiences will vary but may include local businesses, community, faith and voluntary groups.

• Making links with your own existing groups and networks in your local community that may want to be involved in reducing barriers to blind and partially sighted people.
• Building relationships with people or local businesses you know.
• Taking part in and sharing information about specific campaigns and initiatives to help remove barriers to blind and partially sighted people.
• Delivering talks on behalf of RNIB’s Social Action Team.
