A growing women’s empowerment social enterprise in Uganda is seeking a volunteer accountant to strengthen budgeting, cashflow forecasting and financial systems.

The organisation supports over 300 women artisans, including single mothers, widows and teenage mothers, through vocational training and income generating opportunities linked to handmade crafts.

As international sales opportunities grow, the organisation wants to ensure its finance processes remain practical, sustainable and fit for purpose.

The volunteer will work with the Founder and Managing Director to review internal processes and controls, support effective use of Zoho Books, review the chart of accounts, improve budgeting and cashflow forecasting, develop simple management reporting tools and support audit preparation.

This would suit a hands on volunteer comfortable working closely with a small local team.

Norfolk Tennis is the county governing body for tennis and padel in Norfolk and a volunteer-led Charitable Incorporated Organisation (Charity No. 1203480). We work in partnership with the Lawn Tennis Association to support clubs, venues, coaches and players across the county, helping more people enjoy the physical, social and community benefits of tennis and padel. Our work aligns with the LTA’s “Tennis Opened Up” strategy, which aims to make the sport accessible, welcoming and enjoyable for everyone. Norfolk Tennis is governed by a Board of Trustees supported by a volunteer Management Committee representing clubs, venues and key development areas across the county. As tennis and padel continue to grow, Norfolk Tennis is seeking individuals to join its Board of Trustees and contribute strategic leadership to the development of tennis and padel across the county.

About the Trustee Role
Trustees play a vital role in ensuring Norfolk Tennis is well governed, financially sustainable and strategically focused. Working collaboratively with fellow Trustees and the Management Committee, Trustees help ensure the organisation operates effectively as a charity while delivering meaningful impact for tennis and padel across the county.

Trustees are responsible for:

• Supporting the strategic direction of Norfolk Tennis
• Ensuring strong governance, accountability and compliance
• Providing independent professional expertise and oversight
• Acting in the best interests of the charity and its beneficiaries
• Helping ensure resources are used effectively to support tennis development

Governance & Charity Law Trustee
To support strong governance and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, Norfolk Tennis is seeking a volunteer trustee with expertise in charity law.

This role focuses on providing guidance on legal responsibilities, governance best practice and risk management to support the organisation’s long-term stability and integrity.

Key contributions include:
• Advising the Board of Trustees on charity law, governance and regulatory requirements
• Supporting compliance with Charity Commission guidance and best practice
• Reviewing governing documents and supporting any required updates
• Providing input on policies, risk management and decision-making processes
• Ensuring the organisation operates within its legal and charitable objectives
• Offering guidance on contracts, partnerships and potential liabilities

This role would suit someone with experience in charity law, governance, legal advisory or regulatory compliance, ideally with an understanding of the charitable or sports sector.

Governance & Safeguarding Trustee
This role helps ensure Norfolk Tennis maintains the highest standards of governance, safeguarding and regulatory compliance.

Working alongside the County Safeguarding Officer and fellow trustees, this role supports the Board in maintaining robust policies, procedures and governance frameworks that reflect both charity law and LTA safeguarding expectations.

Key contributions include:

• Supporting strong governance structures and trustee responsibilities
• Providing oversight of safeguarding frameworks and best practice
• Ensuring appropriate policies and reporting processes are in place
• Advising on governance matters including risk management and compliance
• Promoting a culture of safe, responsible and ethical sport across the county

This role would suit someone with experience in governance, safeguarding, compliance, law or risk management.

Inclusion & Disability Trustee
Norfolk Tennis is committed to ensuring tennis and padel are open and accessible to all communities.

The Inclusion & Disability Trustee helps champion equality, diversity and accessibility across the county, supporting initiatives that widen participation and remove barriers to involvement.

The role includes:

• Supporting Norfolk Tennis in embedding Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) principles
• Championing inclusive participation for disabled players and under-represented groups
• Advising on inclusive programme development and community engagement
• Supporting initiatives linked to the LTA’s Open Court disability tennis programme
• Helping identify partnerships with organisations supporting inclusive sport

This role would suit someone with experience in EDI leadership, disability sport, community engagement, education or inclusion policy.

About The Stray Cat Charity (TSCC)

The Stray Cat Charity is a newly established UK-registered CIO working to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome stray cats in Greece, starting in Patras. Our current priority campaign is to raise £35,000 to build a dedicated stray cat shelter in Patras, Greece, which will provide safe housing, veterinary care, and a pathway to adoption for vulnerable cats. As a growing new charity, we are building our fundraising and outreach network across the UK.

Role Purpose

We are looking for a motivated volunteer to support the growth of our charity by helping identify and connect with potential supporters in their local area. This includes community groups, schools, corporates, and potential major donors who may be interested in supporting or fundraising for stray cats in Greece. The aim of this role is to help generate awareness, build relationships, and support fundraising activity for our current and future campaigns.

Key Responsibilities

The volunteer may support with:

• Researching local community groups, schools, faith groups, and businesses

Talkthru is a specialist counselling charity based in Huddersfield, offering free, confidential support to individuals and families affected by pregnancy loss, baby loss and other birth-related trauma.

Our Board of Trustees oversees Talkthru’s strategic direction, governance, and financial health, ensuring that we remain sustainable, ethical, and effective. This is where you come in.

Role Purpose

As a Trustee, you will share collective responsibility for the governance and strategic leadership of Talkthru. Trustees ensure that the charity fulfils its mission, operates lawfully and ethically, and maintains the trust of clients, donors, and the wider community.

We are particularly keen to welcome a Trustee with a legal background to strengthen the Board’s expertise in governance, compliance, and risk management. Fundraising Volunteer

Every year, RSPCA North West London & South Hertfordshire Branch CIO rescues, cares for and rehomes hundreds of unwanted, stray and abandoned animals.

We also support local pet owners who are struggling to afford essential veterinary treatment, helping animals get the care they need and stay with the people who love them.

We are a local RSPCA branch and we raise our own funds. The money we bring in through donations, grants, gifts in wills and local support makes a real difference to what we can do for animals in our area.

We are looking for a Fundraising Volunteer to help us find new ways to raise money and build support for our work.

This could be a lovely role for someone who has some fundraising experience and would like to use their skills for a cause they care about. You do not need to be an animal welfare expert. What matters most is that you care about animals, enjoy bringing ideas together, and can help us explain clearly why our work needs support.

You don't need to be an expert in everything listed below, but some experience in one or more of these areas would be helpful.

What you will be doing

As a Fundraising Volunteer, you may help with:

• Researching suitable grant-making trusts, foundations and local funding opportunities

• Helping to prepare information for grant applications and funding bids

• Supporting donation appeals for specific projects, such as veterinary care, animal accommodation, equipment or rehoming work

• Helping us promote gifts in wills and legacy giving

• Identifying opportunities to build relationships with local businesses, community groups and supporters

• Gathering stories, statistics and information that show the impact of our work
