About the role
AIM Qualifications and Assessment Group is seeking to appoint new Trustees who will offer the Board specific skills which have been identified as important to ensuring the continued effective governance of AIM. These key leadership posts are voluntary, but reasonable expenses will be reimbursed.
AIM is a regulated Awarding Organisation. While a background in education is not essential, trustees should have a clear understanding of the role of an Awarding Organisation and the qualifications and services that AIM delivers together with enthusiasm, strategic insight and a clear commitment to AIM’s charitable objectives.
Appointments will initially be for a term of three years from the agreed start date.
The Committee meets at least three times each year.

Senior Finance background.
The Board is seeking a Trustee with significant financial leadership experience, ideally a qualified accountant or senior finance professional (such as an FD, CFO or Audit Partner), with expertise in financial strategy, budgeting, risk, and investment governance.
Person specification
- Senior leadership experience within education and or assessment environments.
- Significant experience of regulated qualifications would be describable.
- Ideally, experience of the QAA regulated Access to Higher Education Diploma, or a willingness to develop this knowledge.
- Ideally, significant experience of designing and evaluating assessment, both internally and externally set.
- Credibility and confidence to lead inclusive meetings, provide constructive challenge and facilitate assurance focused discussion.
- Strong understanding of governance, risk and regulatory accountability at Board or Committee level.

CHASE Africa is a UK-based international NGO that supports through local partners in East Africa to improve health and wellbeing in marginalised rural communities. We are a small but dedicated team based in Somerset, committed to a collaborative approach to partnership. We're currently going through an exciting period of transition and growth, with a new CEO in 2022, a new charitable structure in 2023, and a new Finance Manager at the start of 2026. The Role
- Liaise with CEO and Trustees to ensure the financial viability of the organisation’s strategy
- Advise on the financial implications of CA’s strategic plan (3 year)
- Present CA’s financial position and broader context at Trustees Board meetings
- Support the finance manager with the production of an annual budget
- Ensure that the Board is aware of its financial duties and responsibilities and the need to comply with all legislation
- Take a lead in interpreting financial data for fellow Board members
- Ensure that all financial policies, procedures and the appointment of external financial advisors are reviewed on a regular basis
- Ensure relevant financial policies are in place as required by the charity commission
- Be willing to be available to support the charity’s CEO and Senior Finance Manager as needed
- Review the monthly management accounts report and cashflow with the CEO and finance manager
- Liaise with senior staff to ensure financial reports are user friendly for non-finance trustees
About You
- Good background in financial management and analysis
- Able to communicate financial information clearly and to people with different levels of financial and data literacy.
- Knowledge and experience of finance practice relevant to voluntary and community organisations.
- Have an excellent ability to interpret financial information and the confidence to raise questions and challenge
- Have a good understanding of, or be willing to learn, the rules and regulation around charity finance
- Have the ability to think creatively and strategically, exercising good and impartial judgement
- Knowledge of current accounting processes, tools and procedures
- High proficiency in Excel, Powerpoint for analysis and presentation
- Understands and accepts the legal duties, liabilities and responsibilities of Trustees, and the difference between governance functions and management functions

- Commitment to CA’s vision, purpose and culture and its way of working

- CCAB/CIMA qualified professional or qualified by experience in financial management

The Role: Virtual Office Manager – VOLUNTEER ROLE
This is a pivotal role for someone who believes in organisation, clarity, empowerment, and transformation — and wants to help shape a charity from the ground up.
As MINDSET’s Virtual Office Manager, you will be the central coordinator of our remote operations. You will keep our digital “office” running smoothly, support volunteers with day‑to‑day admin needs, manage systems and processes, and ensure communication flows clearly across the charity. You’ll help build the structure that allows our volunteers to deliver life‑changing support to men across England.

Background to the charity
Sevenoaks Welcomes Refugees is a local charity formed in March 2017. We are a small and growing charity, whose volunteers and supporters have come together to welcome and help support the refugees who have fled the fighting and persecution in Syria, Afghanistan and Ukraine, and are now resettling in our community.
Starting with just one refugee family, we have expanded our efforts over the years and are proud to have supported about 50 families as they settle and rebuild their lives in our community.
Purpose of Role:

As a member of the SWR Voluntary Leadership Team (VLT), you will contribute to the effective delivery of core services for refugees and help support and coordinate our valued volunteers.

In this role, you’ll work closely with other VLT members, with a particular focus on the general support function, collaborating with volunteer teams and ensuring they are well-informed, resourced, and confident in providing person-centred support.

Key Responsibilities:
