The Retail Distribution Centre (RDC) is where donations are stored, sorted, cleaned and distributed to the shops. Our volunteers help with household items ranging from crockery, toys, small electrical items, pictures, as well as clothes, shoes and bags. You will become part of the team that will sort, prepare, and recycle donations for resale.

We’re looking for three Support Group Volunteer over the age of 18 years old, based in Scotland.

You’ll be volunteering fortnightly Thursday between 10:30am and 11:30am plus additional time for volunteer team meetings and training.

As a support group volunteer, you will help with the running of the group. The role is designed to suit the needs of the group, and the skills of people offering support. If you enjoy getting to know your community, working with others and making a real difference then this is the role for you.

The volunteer will be

· A people person, with good listening skills

· A great communicator who enjoys meeting new people

· Good at putting people at ease

· Reliable and organised

· Passionate about supporting people affected by stroke

· IT literate, have good administrative and record keeping skills and be able to follow relevant policies

A protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) check is required for this role.

Barnardo's is looking for volunteers to help support online parenting groups. Your friendly welcome and practical support can help parents feel confident, connected, and able to access the guidance they need. The Event Lead will lead the strategy, design, and execution of all events, ensuring they align with the organization’s goals and deliver memorable experiences. This role oversees the end-to-end event planning process, including budgeting, logistics, vendor management, and team coordination. As the driving force behind the organization’s events, the Event Lead will ensure high standards of creativity, efficiency, and impact while fostering strong relationships with stakeholders, partners, and vendors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Event Planning:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive event strategy that aligns with organizational goals and enhances brand visibility.

  • Identify event opportunities, including conferences, product launches, fundraisers, and internal engagements, to achieve strategic objectives.

• Event Design & Execution:

  • Lead the planning and execution of all events, ensuring seamless logistics, creative concepts, and high-quality delivery.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure event themes, messaging, and objectives are aligned with organizational priorities.

• Budget Management:

  • Manage event budgets, ensuring cost efficiency without compromising quality.

  • Track expenses, negotiate vendor contracts, and identify opportunities for cost savings.

• Vendor & Stakeholder Management:

  • Build and maintain relationships with vendors, suppliers, venues, and partners to ensure successful event execution.

  • Negotiate contracts and manage vendor performance to meet quality standards and timelines.

• Team Leadership:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the event planning team to achieve excellence in execution.

  • Foster a collaborative and high-performing environment, ensuring clear communication and accountability.

• Event Marketing & Promotion:

  • Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to promote events, including developing promotional materials, social media campaigns, and press outreach.

  • Ensure a strong event presence across digital and physical platforms to maximize attendance and engagement.

• Evaluation & Continuous Improvement:

  • Measure event success through post-event reporting, feedback collection, and KPIs.

We’re looking for a reliable Volunteer Maintenance Officer / Handyperson to help us keep our facilities safe, welcoming, and well-maintained for the people who rely on our services. Your skills will directly support our mission—ensuring more of our funding goes where it’s needed most: helping our clients.

 What you’ll be doing:

• Carrying out general maintenance and minor repairs (painting, basic carpentry, gardening, etc.)
• Keeping outdoor spaces clean, safe, and tidy
• Identifying and resolving maintenance issues proactively
• Supporting small improvement and refurbishment projects
• Assisting with furniture and equipment installation
• Working alongside a friendly and supportive team

 What we’re looking for:

• Someone practical, reliable, and confident with DIY tasks
• Experience in maintenance, repairs, or a trade (formal or informal)
• A proactive problem-solver who can work independently
• Friendly, flexible, and willing to follow health & safety guidance
• Able to travel to our Walsall location
• This is an ad-hoc post and we are flexible and can work around your availability, but we are ideally looking for someone who can offer regular support with ongoing tasks such as maintaining grounds (e.g. a few hours a month) and be available to support in times of emergency repairs.

We are looking for enthusiastic Sports Volunteers to support our weekly sports sessions for young people during term time.

Key requirements:
A hands on approach to supporting and delivering sports activities
Confidence engaging with young people and encouraging participation
Ability to commit to one 2 hour sports session per week during term time
Football skills and experience participating in or leading football activities
Commitment to supporting the mission, vision, and values of ECPAT UK

Experience working with children or young people and an understanding of the importance of safeguarding and a commitment to human rights and equality.

Desirable:
A relevant sports coaching qualification
An understanding of the sector we work in, including child exploitation, trafficking, modern slavery, and the challenges faced by vulnerable young people

Someone experienced at basic graphic design ie. flyers and posters, to work remotely, at times suited to you. Currently we have an account with Canva that can be shared with you. Primarily this role is for doing a 1 page monthly newsletter however if you wanted to do more, it could be for 2-6 flyers and/or posters a month too, depending on how much time you would like to put into the role.
