Volunteer Accountant / Board Member – Activists Without Borders

Join Activists Without Borders as a Volunteer Accountant and play a key role in our leadership team. Help us protect human and environmental rights, empower frontline activists, and address injustices worldwide.

Your Role

You will support us by ensuring financial transparency, preparing annual account returns, and providing guidance on financial matters. Your expertise will help us remain accountable to donors, stakeholders, and legal entities.

What Difference Will You Make?

By overseeing our financial processes, you will ensure that donations and other income are managed responsibly. Your input will enhance transparency, strengthen our accountability, and ultimately support activists around the world through advocacy and campaigning.

What Are We Looking For?

• A basic understanding of bookkeeping, HMRC regulations, and Companies House requirements.
• Experience in preparing annual returns.
• Relevant certification (desirable but not essential).
• Availability for a few hours annually, with occasional check-ins for advice.

Important Information

• This is a voluntary, unpaid role.
• We are seeking someone who can commit long-term and become an integral part of Activists Without Borders.
