Project Manager

Children With Voices is a community charity based in Hackney, supporting children, young people and families through education, creativity, wellbeing, food support and community programmes.

We are looking for a Volunteer Project Manager to help us plan, coordinate and deliver projects that support our growing range of community activities.

About the Role

This is an opportunity for an organised and proactive person to gain practical project management experience within a community charity.

You will work closely with the team to help take projects from planning through to delivery, keeping activities organised, tracking progress and ensuring that key actions and deadlines are followed through.

The role would suit someone with project management, coordination, administration or organisational experience, as well as someone looking to develop these skills in a practical setting.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Supporting the planning and delivery of charity projects and initiatives
• Creating and maintaining project plans, timelines and action lists
• Coordinating tasks between team members and volunteers
• Monitoring deadlines, progress and outstanding actions
• Helping organise meetings and project discussions
• Preparing agendas, notes and follow-up actions
• Supporting the coordination of events and community activities
• Keeping project documents, records and information organised
• Identifying potential issues and raising them with the appropriate team member
• Carrying out research and gathering information where required
• Helping evaluate projects and record outcomes
• Supporting communication between different people involved in projects
• Providing general project and organisational support to the wider team

Previous project management or coordination experience is helpful but not essential. We are also interested in people who have transferable skills and are looking to develop practical project management experience.

Time Commitment
