Administration and Reception Volunteer
Actively Interviewing

Our admin and reception volunteers are the backbone of our service - without them we couldn't run.
Based at our office in Ponders End (EN3) our volunteers welcome all clients and other visitors, updating them on any waiting times and getting preparatory forms completed. They manage incoming and outgoing post and send out appointment reminders. One of their crucial roles is to support advisers and the staff team with client registration, photocopying and scanning documents and updating internal spreadsheets and databases as required. To help keep the office running smoothly volunteers also restock stationery and ensure posters and display information is up-to-date. They follow up on letters sent to clients and monitor our client mailbox - recording actions taken, setting reminders and tasks.
So, you see, we really can't do without them.
Being an admin and reception volunteer you would gain experience of an office environment and build on skills such as communication, admin, IT and working within a team. This in turn would increase employability. However, we do welcome volunteers of all ages - some of our longest serving volunteers are retired and make a terrific contribution to our service.
