Educational Outreach Lead

 We are looking to recruit an Educational Outreach Lead. This new role reports into the Board of Trustees, is on a part-time voluntary basis, working from home in Yorkshire, ideally in the Leeds/York/Harrogate area. This is a significant opportunity to shape Cuore's educational direction, with potential for future Board involvement.

 ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 Ø  Contribute to defining educational outreach strategy in conjunction with the Board of Trustees & Artistic Director

Ø  Conceive an annual programme of outreach events and initiatives

Ø  Assist with the development of the annual budget

Ø  Drive the implementation of the educational outreach strategy

Ø  Gradually build a robust team of volunteers

Ø  Forge and develop relationships with educational establishments, universities, colleges, schools, conservatoires, music hubs and staff

Ø  Lead outreach event organization

Ø  Ensure educational activities align with National Curriculum for Music, Music Hub priorities and wider music frameworks where appropriate

Ø  Develop and evolve support materials and pedagogical programs

Ø  Be the Ambassador for Cuore in the education world.

The successful applicant should have solid experience and a proven track record in the following:

 v Educational visionary specialist in music and pedagogy

v Knowledge and experience of the culture and working with a charitable non-profit organization

v A passion for the transmission of the love of classical music and the arts to the younger generations

v Strategic short, medium and long-term thinker

v Managing and motivating volunteers

v Autonomous, pro-active, self-motivated team player

v Structured communicator with reporting skills

v Knowledge & experience of safeguarding legislation & obligations

v Current UK driving license.
