The Abundant Woman is seeking an organised and driven Project Manager to oversee the planning, execution, and completion of various initiatives aligned with our mission to support and empower women. This role will coordinate multiple projects, including community programs, events, and health initiatives, ensuring that they are delivered on time and within scope. The ideal candidate will have strong project management skills, a passion for our mission, and experience in coordinating with diverse teams and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

 •  Plan, manage, and execute projects from inception through completion, ensuring they align with organisational goals and timelines.

 •  Coordinate cross-functional teams, resources, and third-party vendors to ensure smooth project delivery.

 •  Develop project plans, set deadlines, track milestones, and monitor progress.

 •  Manage project budgets, resources, and reporting, ensuring that projects stay within budget and meet objectives.

 •  Communicate regularly with stakeholders, providing updates, addressing concerns, and collecting feedback for improvement.

Key Skills and Qualifications

 •  Proven experience in project management, ideally within a nonprofit or social enterprise setting.

 •  Strong organisational and problem-solving skills; ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

 •  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with stakeholders and team members.

 •  Proficiency with project management tools such as Asana, Trello, or Microsoft Project.

 •  Knowledge of budgeting and resource allocation is a plus.

Are you a friendly, patient, and supportive individual who loves to connect with people?

As a Club Support Assistant, you will be on the front lines, directly engaging with our club members during sessions. You'll play a vital role in creating a warm, inclusive, and fun atmosphere, ensuring everyone feels comfortable and encouraged to participate.

Key Responsibilities:

• Welcoming and Engaging: Greet club members as they arrive, help them settle in, and ensure they feel comfortable and included.
• Encouragement and Support: Provide positive encouragement and support to members as they choose songs, take turns singing, and interact with each other.
• Facilitating Participation: Assist members with selecting songs, navigating the karaoke equipment (with guidance), and gently encouraging participation in singing and social activities.
• Creating a Positive Atmosphere: Help maintain an energetic, respectful, supportive environment where friendships can grow.
• General Assistance: Support the Music Leader and Singing Tutor with practical tasks during sessions, such as setting up/packing away equipment, managing song queues, and ensuring smooth transitions.
• Safeguarding: Be aware of and adhere to the club's safeguarding policies and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of all participants.

We're Looking For Someone Who Is:

• Naturally compassionate, patient, and empathetic.
• Friendly, approachable, and a good listener.
• Enthusiastic about music and community.
• Reliable and punctual.
• Comfortable interacting with adults with learning difficulties (previous experience is a bonus, but a willingness to learn and adapt is key).

Time Commitment: Approximately 1-2 hours per week (during club sessions), plus occasional brief pre- or post-session discussions.

AkiOke Music Club is a grassroots charity passionate about empowering adults with a heap of abilities and talents through music. We provide safe, fun, and inclusive weekly singing sessions, using karaoke and music-making to encourage participation, build friendships, and boost confidence.

To grow and sustain our work, we rely on charitable grants, trusts, and other funding opportunities. We’re now looking for enthusiastic volunteers to join our fundraising team. Seeking a Trustee Director for The Retreat Clinics.  We have delivered mental health treatment and care for over 200 years, and we are still governed by Quaker Values. We offer psychological therapies and assessments for Autism and ADHD, both online and from our home base in York and our offices in Manchester.

Following major changes in our structure, we are now refreshing our strategy and business plan to better meet the needs of young people and adults through in-person and online assessment and talking therapy, supported by prescribing and shared care.  We hold an NHS contract and also offer privately funded care.

Do you have the experience and skills to shape the future of mental health care? 

Our Trustee team would like to expand, and seek one or more colleagues to support and enhance Board skills with your experience and knowledge base.  Board meetings are held every other month in person in York (approx half a day), with an informal meeting online between.  Trustees with specialist skills may be asked to serve on Committees (Quality & Safety / Finance  etc) and these meetings are all held online. By addressing entrenched colonial structures, LPFDev advocates for equity, anti-racism, and decolonisation approaches that move beyond theory into practical solutions. The initiative fosters collective intentionality within the development community, creating safe spaces for open, candid dialogue while promoting more inclusive and just practices. Volunteers are welcomed with openness and creativity, encouraged to contribute their skills, learn collaboratively, and help reshape development into a field rooted in fairness, dignity, and shared global responsibility.

Content Creators (Writers, Videographers, Photographers, Graphic Designers)

Beyond Aid Narratives an initiative created by Level the Playing Field in Development (LPFDev) to shift traditional aid narratives about Africa. The mission of the initiative is to highlight African excellence, innovation, and cultural richness by amplifying authentic African voices and stories rooted in local agency, changing the way the global development sector views Africa and, to ultimately shape programming, communications and fundraising. We foster education and reshape perceptions through compelling storytelling and vibrant visual content.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver engaging content aligned with Beyond Aid Narratives’ pillars
• Produce authentic first-person stories, photo essays, videos, and Reels
• Collaborate with the LPFDev team to maintain consistency with posting schedules, brand style, and community engagement strategies
• Contribute innovative ideas and help grow an engaged audience interested in genuine African narratives

Specific Roles:

1) Writers/Storytellers: Create narrative and educational content, scripts for video storytelling, and compelling social media captions centered on African perspectives

2) Videographers/Editors: Capture and edit dynamic videos for Reels, IGTV, and Stories emphasising real African experiences and achievements

3) Photographers: Provide striking images for galleries, photo essays, and posts highlighting Africa’s beauty and diversity

4) Graphic Designers: Design visually appealing infographics, carousel posts, and educational visuals that simplify complex topics and engage the audience

Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong passion for African development, culture, and positive representation aligned with LPFDev’s vision
• Proven skills and experience in your creative discipline (writing, video, photography, design)
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and collaborate remotely with a diverse team
• Familiarity with Instagram and social media best practices is an advantage
• Commitment to authenticity, respect for African narratives, and cultural sensitivity

• Support in the monitoring and collection of data on climate events in line with the research questions
• Analyse data sets related to COP30 and other climate-related events
• Draft reports and briefs on inclusion, equity, and participation patterns
• Collaborate with the research team to develop key findings and recommendations
• Ensure all written outputs are accessible

Skills & Experience:

• Strong analytical skills and data literacy
• Excellent written communication Interest or background in climate justice, policy analysis, or human rights preferred

Key Responsibilities:

• Scout and track upcoming climate-related events globally and regionally
• Contact event organizers to explore monitoring and collaboration opportunities
• Build and maintain a stakeholder engagement database
• Support communication efforts to grow LPFDev’s outreach and visibility

Skills & Experience:

• Strong organisational and interpersonal skills
• Experience in event coordination or community outreach
• Proficiency in email communication and online research

We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to encourage people to join our charity. You’ll organize and run engaging Introduction training sessions to welcome new members. The role involves seeking and managing recruitment opportunities, such as hosting stalls at recruitment fairs and Open Days. You’ll also motivate trainees to complete essential training and attend their first event. We’re looking for a charismatic, organized go-getter with excellent communication skills and a passion for building community.
