Volunteer Admin Support to Regional Manager

Our volunteers are a fundamental part of our retail team. Any time they volunteer with us, helps us to be there for more people who are experiencing a mental health problem.
About the volunteer role
We are looking for a reliable and organised volunteer to provide administrative support to our regional manager, who manages a network of our charity shops.
This is a varied role, and you will help with a range of tasks which will support our regional manager with key admin duties to ensuring the smooth running of our retail services.
There is flexibility around when and where this volunteering is carried out. This may include volunteering remotely from home, field-based support, or volunteering from one of our shops.
Key tasks
- Providing general administrative support to the regional manager
- Responding to emails and telephone enquiries
- Sending comms to wider team on behalf of regional manager
- Collating information on behalf of the regional manager
- Preparing and supporting with a range of documents such as Word, Excel & PowerPoint.
- Assisting the regional manager to arrange interviews with selected candidates.
- Carrying out data entry and other administrative tasks
- Providing administrative support associated with shop openings, relocations and closures.
- Supporting retail team with stock generation support
- Handling information appropriately and confidentially
About you
You do not need previous experience of working in a charity or mental health setting, we are looking for someone who is approachable, dependable and comfortable with working with information, people and various administrative tasks.
We’re looking for someone who:
- Is a good communicator with a friendly and professional telephone manner
- Has good administrative and organisational skills
- Can work well both independently and as part of a team
- Can take direction and follow instructions
- Is proactive and able to use their initiative
- Is reliable, organised and has good attention to detail
- Has good IT skills and is comfortable using Microsoft Office systems

Given the nature of this volunteer role and the information the volunteer may have access to, successful applicants will need to sign a confidentiality agreement as part of the onboarding process.
