Job description

Build, manage, and protect the digital backbone of a national men’s wellbeing movement

MINDSET is creating a new kind of men’s wellbeing charity — one built on action, challenge, humour, and real‑world connection. To deliver our programmes, support our volunteers, and keep our data safe, we need a strong, reliable digital foundation.

We’re looking for a founding volunteer to lead on sourcing, setting up, and maintaining all our cloud‑based platforms and devices. This is a crucial role for someone who loves systems, enjoys problem‑solving, and wants to build something meaningful from the ground up.

What This Role Is About

You’ll be the architect and guardian of our digital ecosystem — ensuring our CRM, case‑management system, email, shared drives, and devices are secure, functional, and easy for volunteers to use. You’ll also create resources and deliver induction sessions so every new volunteer feels confident navigating our systems.

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys tech, values data security, and wants to make a real impact behind the scenes.

Key Responsibilities

1. Build & Maintain Our Cloud‑Based Systems

  • Source and set up platforms such as CRM, case‑management, email, and shared drives

  • Configure systems so they’re simple, secure, and aligned with our workflows

  • Maintain accounts, permissions, and access levels

2. Configure & Manage Devices

  • Set up laptops, tablets, or other devices for MINDSET use

  • Ensure devices are secure, updated, and compliant with data‑protection standards

  • Implement best‑practice security measures (passwords, MFA, encryption, etc.)

3. Safeguard Data & Security

  • Ensure all systems meet GDPR and data‑protection requirements

  • Monitor security risks and implement preventative measures

  • Maintain clear documentation and data‑handling processes

4. Provide Troubleshooting & Support

  • Offer support to volunteers when technical issues arise

  • Resolve problems quickly and calmly

  • Keep systems running smoothly with minimal downtime

5. Create Resources & Deliver Training

  • Develop simple guides, videos, or walkthroughs for volunteers

  • Lead or support induction sessions on how to use our systems

  • Ensure every volunteer feels confident and supported
