Founding Trustees – No Guard Alone
No Guard Alone is a newly forming charity being established to address mental health challenges in the UK security sector - a workforce of over 450,000 people exposed to isolation, risk, and repeated conflict, but with little sector-wide and bespoke support.
We are now recruiting founding trustees to help shape the organisation from the outset.
This is an opportunity to:
- Build a charity at formation stage
- Help define strategy, governance, and direction
- Contribute to a meaningful and under-recognised area of need
We are particularly interested in experience in:
Governance, finance, fundraising, mental health, safeguarding, digital, research, or the security sector.
We are building a balanced board and welcome both professional expertise and relevant lived experience.
Time commitment: 4–6 meetings per year
Location: UK (remote with some in person meetings where necessary)
Remuneration: This is a voluntary role with reimbursement of reasonable expenses
